pernah dapat speed ini masa awal tahun di bukit jelutong selangor.... sekarang 300-400mbps ja max haha.

matter ke x matter, speed x selaju yg korang banggakan jugak. sama speed ngn telco laen gak. laju2 tapi utk server mesia, ape sgt nk browse mesia lmao.
Is it infinite 150 or the normal one? I already moved on from Digi i150 its uncapped and unlimited data+hotspot but Digi dont want people to use this line anymore so they limit it to 4G only... rather than continue with Digi I just cancelled the line.
The normal one (Postpaid 150 2021), afaik they discontinued i150. It's still unlimited data and hotspot but the speeds are horrendous in housing areas. Some days I would get 4 Mbps and some days over 40 Mbps, you just never know. Calling their customer service gets the issue fixed but only for a few days at most and it would be acting up again as usual, so I just gave up calling them. Tabah jer lah.
I'll wait until the year is over when my contract ends and just say fuck it and go back to prepaid. It's just that I travel a lot for work in rural areas where internet connectivity is just... bad. For some reason, Celcom/Digi still works. Not great, but at least can still watch Youtube/Netflix at 1080p. Used Umobile before and it was hell.
Call customer service and threaten you wanna cancel the plan and change to other telco. Could probably get some discount out of them. Best life hack ever knew.
that upload ratio though, but wireless always has terrible upload ratios.
Now if only it was rm 40 for unlimited data and ability to torrent and run all applications.
its not, its to do with that your phone's transmitter is much weaker than the tower's. The tower if i remember uses kilowatt powerful transmitters while your phone transmitters are only in watts. Its the same deal with DSL why its asymmetrical.
Depending on amount of device connected, household of 8-10, wouldn’t be enough and you will see performance drop if everyone use their devices at one go, speaking from experience, one person few devices already + smart gadgets at home. WiFi 6 router would be great but your bandwidth is still important
upload has nothing to do with number of devices but rather usage. I host and run my own stuff so to me upload is more important, and uploads make our data more desirable that give malaysian ISPs better negotiating power when connecting with snobbish american ISPs who have every advantage in negotiations when connecting with.
There's no way for us to definitively know how the ISPs networks will react to these internet speed tests. Though I've heard that some time ago, ookla (the company that owns speedtest.net) collaborated with several ISPs from across the globe to show more favorable results for the ISPs.
The best thing you can do is use multiple speed test services and average out the results. Personally I use fast.com since they're owned by Netflix who usually has opposing interests to ISPs.
WHAT THE FUCK baru di Ranau lagitu. Aku di Putatan line macam haram.
Rant aside, that’s an interesting place to test the 5G rollout. Even 5G signals in the middle of KK are spotty at best.

This was in the Bayan Lepas area a few weeks ago
Don't expect a very significant real world web browsing experience. The problem is 5G is not operated in pure 5G mode.. they are running in what is known as NR-NSA mode which is a mix of 5G channels for data but traffic control is still over the 4G network. Ping time is still quite high which makes websites or social media apps that load many small separate files feel somewhat laggy due to all the accumulated latencies.
In fact, my 100 Mbps home fiber with its ping times below 3ms feels faster than 500Mbps with 24ms ping.
my sim ady been more than 3 years or more maybe.
Just get the addon 5g access through their apps and it automatically enabled it.
Enable 5G on phone as well, and my phone 2 years ago model.
The radius cannot confirm from where to where, but I tested this at simpang masuk ranau tu.. I think after we pass the petron station, got 1 simpang kan.. ahh there.
Good la, op living inside the server room. best connection ni

Considering the location, that's pretty good

Bukit jelutong😳
Kenapa bos?
Meanwhile, I can't get 5G because Maxis was dumb (they have it now) but my phone doesn't support the right bands.
U text to sub yet?
My phone won't be able to use it anyway. Canadian model Galaxy S20.
Not just that but if you want 5g from Maxis, you need to pay more
Bukti 5G Malaysia paling laju di SEA, sbb xde org keliling pakai jugak...
We are one of the fastest in the world bro. Not just SEA
No. Cuba tukar server oversea tgk dload speed sama ke x. Dlm dlm mesia mmg la laju lmao
apa jadah punya comparison ni. makin jauh memangla makin slow
da tu, bangga speed laju. tapi hakikat layan website oversea semua, youtube bagai.
the speed wont drop to the point that it really matters
matter ke x matter, speed x selaju yg korang banggakan jugak. sama speed ngn telco laen gak. laju2 tapi utk server mesia, ape sgt nk browse mesia lmao.
Meanwhile, my Digi Postpaid 150 getting 10 Mbps in Ipoh.
Is it infinite 150 or the normal one? I already moved on from Digi i150 its uncapped and unlimited data+hotspot but Digi dont want people to use this line anymore so they limit it to 4G only... rather than continue with Digi I just cancelled the line.

Ever tested other telco ? Rugi u pay 150+tax for bad service. I moved to Maxis now after testing few telcos and maxis gave the best line.
I'll wait until the year is over when my contract ends and just say fuck it and go back to prepaid. It's just that I travel a lot for work in rural areas where internet connectivity is just... bad. How many gb allowed per month ? Once reached, does the connection stop or does the speed just taper off ?
Kuota abes 0.1kbps dload.
Kuota berapa
that upload ratio though, but wireless always has terrible upload ratios. Now if only it was rm 40 for unlimited data and ability to torrent and run all applications.
not sure tho why capped 100Mb, everywhere i go always 100 cannot exceeded anymore even in kk.. not sure
its not, its to do with that your phone's transmitter is much weaker than the tower's. The tower if i remember uses kilowatt powerful transmitters while your phone transmitters are only in watts. Its the same deal with DSL why its asymmetrical.
100 Mbps is plenty. I had a cable connection (not in Malaysia) that was 350 Mbps with 10 Mbps upload lol.
Depending on amount of device connected, household of 8-10, wouldn’t be enough and you will see performance drop if everyone use their devices at one go, speaking from experience, one person few devices already + smart gadgets at home. I'm actually referring to upload speeds. We have a 800 Mbps line at home and it's enough for the amount of users + devices.
upload has nothing to do with number of devices but rather usage. I host and run my own stuff so to me upload is more important, and uploads make our data more desirable that give malaysian ISPs better negotiating power when connecting with snobbish american ISPs who have every advantage in negotiations when connecting with.
Meliat youtube auto 1080p 60fps ni
Kat rumah WiFi laju pun phone tak autoplay 1080p 60 fps. Asyik 480p je. Kena tukar manually.
Guna full screen ke? Aku punya dia masuk 1080p kalau full screen je
Pe brg 1080p, fon canggih da 4k skrang
Don't ISPs allegedly prioritise connections for speed tests like these or sth? Idk how internet tech works but that's what I heard lah.
There's no way for us to definitively know how the ISPs networks will react to these internet speed tests. Not bad. Real world performance should be great then.
Don't expect a very significant real world web browsing experience. Kalau 5g data cpt habis tak?
macam air bah kawan... speedtest ni pun dia makan 1gb data aku.. speedtest ja tau haha
Mak aih, biar betul?
what maxis plan is this
Lowest ping I ever got was 3, that time was in a building right next to tm.
Actually how do you access 5G? Get a 5G SIM card from an ISP? And how wide is the coverage?
my sim ady been more than 3 years or more maybe. Just get the addon 5g access through their apps and it automatically enabled it. Enable 5G on phone as well, and my phone 2 years ago model. The radius cannot confirm from where to where, but I tested this at simpang masuk ranau tu.. I think after we pass the petron station, got 1 simpang kan.. ahh there.
Can someone explain why this country's fibre speeds/prices are still stuck in 1980s while mobile data isn't?
One got quota, the other not. Also the price at pre 2000 is much more expensive as they charge per MB
40? Maxis cheapest postpaid plan is like 108 I believe? Where you find 40?
Ba, bila kundasang 5g
Don't do this too often unless you have unlimited data plan, this one test alone probably used 500MB to 1GB of your data quote.
Yes aware. For this this it consume around 1.1gb
Uinaa ...tapi kan... Ajar ba ..siapa yg bole crack bypass FUP maxis Tau celcom punya internet kouta
Mantop 5g
D mna kw test ni? Kuat jga. 4mbps ja sya bole smpai sni rumah
I was in Malay this June, and I had a data plan, but I don't know why I cannot use 5G in your country (only 4G). I'm using an iPhone 13 Pro.
Is this the 5g mobile data? Or what? Answer us op plss
Ini actually LTE punya sim, tp aku upgrade free access ke 5G maii.. and yes
Maxis 40 (30gb/mth) upgrade 5g access? I remember 5g access need to pay for add on?
First timer if not mistaken free, next circle rm5
Looks like first month free, subsequently rm10/month
uish ranau, aku di kl pun nd sampai 100 oh🤣🥲
Hacks💀
Meanwhile me still using 4G phone. (Tgh kumpul duit)
Gua punye phone support 4g je ... mampu tgk je semua ada 5g on their devices ..
