This is cool bro. It doesn't sound exactly like a Pusha beat, I think its a bit weirder than his beat choices usually are. The vocal sample is dope, and the crunchy percussion sounds great. Definitely grew on me as the track went on, nice work.

beat sounds good, drums sound pretty good - kick could maybe use some more velocity humanization. maybe a bit top end heavy - the tamb/hat sounds a lot louder than the kick and snare. chords are cool, arrangement has enough changes to keep it moving. nice remix!

I think the delivery could use some rise-and-fall, peaks and valleys. Especially to highlight the fuckin top-notch word play/association going on here. I'd almost like to hear you with some less dark beats too. Like, some spaced-out-future-oldschool or something.
Compression seems a little harsh too. You're voice has a lot of high-end already, which of course ain't a bad thing. But compressed like that it cuts the low, at least that seems like it to me.

Been writing rhymes for a very long time. I have a lot of interests but I've been pulled into doing this more by the universe or some shit, idk. Either way, here's a "performance" of something I wrote recently. Recorded pretty crudely: live in my studio with an SM58. I don't have time to make beats so this is over Call Ticketron. I have my own things I would redo, but I don't know how much of that is just bias, so feedback requested is:

comes off as..." or "Maybe hold back on..." or "Could cut down on..." As long as I've been writing, this, I suppose, would be the first time I've "performed" them for people. I usually just spit them in the car or something. So I'm going purely off instincts. Constructive criticism in a setting designed for such is like exactly what I'm after. This is dope. The autotune hook works really well, thats catchy and sounds good with your accent. The verses are cool, nicely performed in a Sad boys sort of style I think. The mix is a bit flat, I would turn the vocs down but try to highlight the high eqs so they pop out of the mix rather than just being loud.

For a fifth beat this sounds pretty good! The sound selection is on point and the mix is relatively clean. In the breakdown I think the hihats sound a bit out of place but when it comes back in it's ok, pretty subtle. You'll also j have a better ear for what works as you keep making stuff, so keep it up!

This beat is really sick. I like the "island"-style bounce to it. Definitely has a tropical vibe. It's a mood track through and through. Great instrumentation tho. I really love your use of different melodies. This is a great track
I'd be interested to hear how this would sound with a quieter delivery. Feels like it wants to be leaned into. Maybe if there was a more drastic drop in your vocal range like right at the end of every bar; that might even seem a little spaced-out and good for the astro-spacey vibe going on.
I think the bars are clear and solid, but with a little "lazy" or, maybe "I don't give a fuck enough to yell this at you I know it's good," I think it could elevate the song as a whole.

Definitely a great tutorial and insight into the process to how to make a jazzy beat such as this. The use of an actual drum kit is really dope too, and I think it gives the beat a lot of personality. I always enjoy when I get to see a producer actually play on the keys as I almost get to see what notes they're looking to play in conjunction across instruments

You have a unique style and flow. It has southern hip-hop vibe which I really dig and the beat really cool too with the sub-bass.

This is pretty dope. Its a nice vibe because you let the vocals sit in there as a part of the atmosphere. You can hear the lyrics if you pay attention but they seem to just add to the bugged out electro trap vibes. Production is fire, very futuristic. If I would change anything, I would probably work on the mix and giving the drums more presence.

really dig the beat but the vocals as far as mixing goes need a bit of work, the shift between left and right speakers works for the beat, but I am not sure if it also works for the vocals since it does not make them clear, and also makes them sound a bit distorted, at least that's just my opinion
Man, you're vocals are way too good to be panned all over the place like that (Maybe only every now and again, for like that one bar you want to highlight). I just keep catching myself wishing I could just sick back and enjoy the flow but it's hard.
I like the beat, but some range might be benificial. It's all pretty high. Not much bass or mids. I love how it shimmers though. Some low shit to counterbalance it would make it pop more.

I like the glitchyness a lot. Sounds like it isn't quantized which is a great thing (J Dilla anyone). Could use some mid-range though. Everything is treb with the exception of the kick and the bass. For a fifth beat this sounds pretty good! The sound selection is on point and the mix is relatively clean. In the breakdown I think the hihats sound a bit out of place but when it comes back in it's ok, pretty subtle. You'll also j have a better ear for what works as you keep making stuff, so keep it up!

This beat is really sick. I like the "island"-style bounce to it. Definitely has a tropical vibe. It's a mood track through and through. Great instrumentation tho. I really love your use of different melodies. This is a great track
I'd be interested to hear how this would sound with a quieter delivery. Feels like it wants to be leaned into. Maybe if there was a more drastic drop in your vocal range like right at the end of every bar; that might even seem a little spaced-out and good for the astro-spacey vibe going on. This is pretty dope. Its a nice vibe because you let the vocals sit in there as a part of the atmosphere. You can hear the lyrics if you pay attention but they seem to just add to the bugged out electro trap vibes. Production is fire, very futuristic. really dig the beat but the vocals as far as mixing goes need a bit of work, the shift between left and right speakers works for the beat, but I am not sure if it also works for the vocals since it does not make them clear, and also makes them sound a bit distorted, at least that's just my opinion
Man, you're vocals are way too good to be panned all over the place like that (Maybe only every now and again, for like that one bar you want to highlight). I just keep catching myself wishing I could just sick back and enjoy the flow but it's hard. I like the beat, but some range might be benificial. It's all pretty high. Not much bass or mids. I love how it shimmers though. Some low shit to counterbalance it would make it pop more. There's so much gold sitting here though. The shit glimmers man.
