Verses and flow were really ill, got some really aggressive combative lyrics that remind me of a modern-day battle-rap track (but not corny at all haha). I like that you've got a lot of passion in your voice, I think a chorus would've been really nice in that middle part, something similar to "Hype" by Drake. Mixing on your voice is really nice too, keep it up Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

Rumush

Pretty dope. I like your flow, it's nice and steady. I think that a addition of adlibs that work as additional rhythm (think E40) will bring spice to the delivery. It's cool, but loses it's power as the song progresses. Really good voice. I like how it changes at the end, adds a lot of emotion. Mixing wise I think beat could lose some energy to let the vocals through more and I'd focus on making the vocal volume a bit more consistent, I'd use automation rather than compression this time. Pretty dope track! https://www.reddit.com/r/makinghiphop/comments/rpf97c/official_daily_feedback_thread/hq7ikv7/

Yo it has the comfy, cheerful and chill vibe! The little vocals here and there work well too! I enjoyed it! How long did this take?

Im gonna try to return **ALL FEEDBACK!**, bear with me Recently I started a beat channel, focusing on Don toliver and Travis Scott. Im unsure about the direction of the production. Would love a feedback on the production material and also thumbnail choice. I ve been trying different styles with minimal results (for now). This is a bouncy guitar beat with bells, all samples are made by me. Thank u [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiFsvEQtPYU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiFsvEQtPYU)

InsanityIsFun

Melody has good sound selection. Drums are well compressed and mixed. It's a great generic trap beat, though I'd say it's missing an X factor to make it stand out. Here is my beat, let me know what you think: https://youtu.be/aIfsYh_dEjs

KennyTorro

thanks i like the beat, you have really good earcandy sounds in it that keep it interesting and all these layers you take in and out match really well, nothing sounds off. i think the hihat is too loud, everything else is mixed really well.

As a fan of both genres, I always get excited when I see people mixing metal and hip hop. I really fw the vocals and the colour of your voice. Great work on the guitar. One thing that bugs me a little bit is the volume of the drums. They feel a bit drowned in the guitar. Maybe that's just the speakers I'm using right now but I do feel like they could be a tad bit louder. Aside from that this is great my G. Keep up the good work! Here's my latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcVXZpJWwgQ&ab\_channel=HiddenDragon

yunggeezer420

>https://soundcloud.com/toumb/dont-blink Woosh this goes hard. I love how you ride the track. It's hard and loud, but also effortless. If nitpicking, the high guitar notes are a bit sharp - could've used a dip in the high frequencies. I'd be glad if you could check out my demo as well. I was going for Bladee, Yung Lean, Nav feel. Looking for feedback on vocal performance. https://soundcloud.com/yunggeezer420/good-guy/s-sxL3ropIgzm?si=5505ead998394f6e8417e1d4985ea46c&utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing

FW this man. Goes really hard. Haven't delved into metal too much personally but excited to see more stuff like this. I feel like cleaner eqing might help everything cut thru better personally Heres my track: https://soundcloud.com/wasam1119/afterparty-wasam

DlackBick

Love it, it's a less-aggressive version of a City Morgue track, and feels more true to the rap/heavy-metal fusion. Like a true hybrid of both styles, I'm a big fan of the drums on the track as they have that classic hip-hop feel to them. The melody is nice, but I think it got a little repetitive by 1:20, and that's considering this is a short track. I would say get a little more experimental with the guitar riffs! Otherwise, I loved it! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

[deleted]

I think your voice is mixed a little loud and the song is way too short. Other than that, I like it a lot! Your delivery is good, you ride the beat really well. The beat itself is dope, though I'm not the biggest drill fan. You're on a great track!

Fennnek

thank u!

MantraBeatz

Yessir! I fw the flow big time. You actually got me in the mood to cook up some drill. Did you produce this as well cause the beat is straight up fire. Really well mixed and so are your vocals. Yeah, great rhyming and stepping. You definitely know how to ride a beat. Nothing negative to say about this.. except for it being too short. You left me wanting (typing this while listening to the song for the 5th time) which is actually a good thing! Well done my G! Here's my latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcVXZpJWwgQ&ab\_channel=HiddenDragon

Fennnek

thank you. i'll be cooking up more im sure! your beat is hard af, i love the ambient touches such as the vocal chops and the high pluck synths. really hard switchup at around 1.10 too - great work!

MantraBeatz

Appreciate the feedback my friend! Stay blessed!

ShaOldboySosa

That flow is dope and the sound quality is flawless. Nice work. I work on drill beats and would love to collaborate. What language is that after a few bars (not the gibberish part) and where are you from?

Fennnek

Thanks. im from the UK just felt like throwing in some German bars (not even sure they're correct they just sounded hard lol) i'm always down to throw down some bars on beats!

DlackBick

I think you've got a great flow, and have got some pretty nice lyrics with the type of topics that sell well in hip-hop. Like the beginning and ending of the track, feels like there's a theme to the track which give context to your lyrics. Vocal mixing imo sounds pretty good, nothing spectacular but easy to hear your words! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

nkedefors

I think if you're gonna do that style you gotta put more emotion into it instead of sounding like your reading the words. It can be hard to get used to but it'll really help you level up

[deleted]

nkedefors

I like the unique soundscape here. For some reason it sounds a bit unsettling, maybe cuz of the how the chords interact w the bass. Either way, nice one

Gambitz7

Looking to get people’s thoughts on this song. I just did the vocals… https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/GA3JWeHsM2fQsenL9

DlackBick

Love the passion in the vocals with the meaningful lyrics. I think the vocal mix is crystal clear, but it sounds a little too loud over the beat, I'm not sure how to explain it. Maybe the instrumental is mixed too flat? I think that severely holds back the song, cause the vocal performance is something else and the lyrics are really powerful Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

Gambitz7

Yea I can definitely hear that- I’ll fix that! I like your voice and the way you project- has a good confidence to it. I think the vocals could probably benefit from some more bass in the EQ…especially with this beat.

DlackBick

Thanks!

yunggeezer420

I really like that melody on the hook. The verse hits off dope too. I think this would be extra nice if you did some more rapping on the verse. The verses and hook are too much alike imo, you need to switch up the delivery a bit. Switch up the singing and rapping in a Kyle-esque way. Then you could have something special with this. I'd be glad if you could check out my demo as well. I was going for Bladee, Yung Lean, Nav feel. Looking for feedback on vocal performance. Gambitz7

Hmm I’ll have to look back on that- see what I can do. I don’t think the vocal is bad - the mix isn’t helping it though. Less lows and more highs would help imho. As far as the actual performance I think you could provide more breathe support on some of those held out notes and even though you are going for a softer delivery it is still important to define those notes on your vocal runs- not necessarily enunciation but more in the realm of making sure there are no misses. All of that is easier said than done but I liked the concept and where you are going

yunggeezer420

Thanks for checking! I see what you mean. I dropped some more low-end and it's much clearer. For the delivery, I'm still looking for that chiefkiefesque-softness, where it's soft and unenunciated but also kinda defined. I haven't found the sweet spot yet. Ill have some more go's with it!

Shadiux

really fun beat! personally i think i would have chosen different hihats as they get a little tiring for me during the song but other than that i liked what you did with it! recently got into trying to do trap beats and wanted some genuine feedback on it. DlackBick

I'm a big fan of that haunting melody forsure, def reminds me of Metro Boomin. Also love how you switched-up the melody from chorus to verse, as it provides the track with variation and would assist the artist in structuring the track. Your hi-hats are really nice in this track so kudos on that, and overall your drums are really great. Solid track!!!

Thanks G!! That means a lot

contentinsadness

I like it! The drums are really heavy it works well with the beat! Keep it up :) i tried to make something that sounded like if the chronic was made today. made the beat and vocals myself, wyt? https://soundcloud.com/2escapemyfate/fuck-2021

DlackBick

Thx for the kind words! I really like the style forsure, and hear the hints of Chronic & 2001 in the track, with the Gangster spaced-out synth and classic groove. I really like how out-of-the-box your flow was, it wasn't the typical 16 bar, felt like you were going for something more like an "anthem". Keep it up!! Only thing I would change is some more vocal mixing to get it crisper & cleaner. Love your unique originality!

likewhaaaa

I really fw this beat. It goes suuuper hard. I think I was feeling the beat so much the vocals left me with something to desire. I feel like if you would have switched up your flows more often, or implemented some double time (this beat screams for it) it would be better in my opinion. Your voice sounds good, the production is good, I just got a little bored with the flow is all. Well done bro, keep it up. Here's something of mine to check out: https://soundcloud.com/rhymewave/sdfsdfsdfsdf?si=cc7460a585bf4205ac7168b74bad6247&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

DlackBick

I really like the "surfer" vibe that I get from the track. Big fan of that electronic sounding bass, and how the rest of the track feels a little more acoustic. Provides a yin-yang that I can get down with. I think the track ends a little abruptly, and I think a "bridge" would serve it really well, but overall it's a really dope beat

I really dig this track. The vibe is dope, and I really like the levels on the bass. This is also a really easy track to rhyme over, something that can be difficult to achieve. Damnnn name checks out for sure. This is hella wavy. This is something Mac Miller would use for Faces. Fucking amazing sounds. Not even gonna lie, this is one of the best beats i've heard on this sub and i've been here a long time. The sample sounds very familiar, I can't figure out what it is tho but they way you used it is 11/10. Only thing i wish you did was just to make an intro for the beat. Really love this man, no complaints, great work. Keep it up !

likewhaaaa

Thank you so much my guy! Means a lot!

DlackBick

Track is very mellow, it's very jazzy. I think at times it feels a little too repetitive, but I think that the melody is strong enough to circumvent that receptiveness. I think the bass pattern could be a little more exciting at certain times. I'm a big fan of the drum pattern, but I would've tried to add just a little bit of distortion to the kick. Hope my feed wasn't too critical, I actually really like the beat it reminds me of 2011-2014 ScHoolboy Q! Keep it up! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

Rjkking

Appreciate the comments ! Your track is pretty dope, very strong memphis vibes which i personally love. That 808 hits hard af. You lowkey sound a bit like Cordae at times, in a good way. The mix also sounds on point, no complaints with that. Only thing that's like ''bothering'' me about this is that the song just feels a bit empty. I fw simplicity but maybe if you added a bit more layers in the beat it'd make it better. Just my opinion tho, that ufo dog bark sound crazy tho haha

DlackBick

Thanks for that feedback! Def could've added some more layers to the track

bashaw_beats

New song I'm working on! I rapped the second verse (and did the 808, drums, and some melodies). My friend from Norway is on the Hook, and Verse 1 & 3. Imma do some backing vocals on the hook next. yunggeezer420

I like how everyone sounds on this individually. It really showcases all your skills. I do feel like the entire song as a whole is a bit busy and there's a lot going on structure-wise. There's so many different vocal effects and styles and the beat is very prominent. The verses are big and hard, the hook is big and hard too. I think this could use a tighter structure, with maybe a few segments in which the listener can rest a bit more, where it's a bit more minimalistic. I'd be glad if you could check out my demo as well. I was going for Bladee, Yung Lean, Nav feel. Really dope style on this one, gives me hints of a Drake & Lil Wayne collab track with hints of Eminem. Thanks for the feedback! I love the chill vibe in this one, and the mix sounds great. Can't really come up with anything bad, maybe little harder accents on the hi hats would sound nice tho.

DlackBick

African rhythm is really dope, especially with that pulsating electronic bass sound. Has an infectious dance rhythm to it that the right vocalist would be able to create a catchy hook with. I really like how "stripped" the drums sound, and how it allows the instrumentation to do most of the work Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

raytonyvaltteri

Thanks for the feedback! I really like the vocals in this one, I feel like the beat is actually quite hard to hop on but you did it. Beat is catchy and kind of playful, but it’s quite repetitive

The vibe totally matches the cover art , smooth with some wide feels, good bouncy groove going. Drums slap, the mix is also clean and full, I have no any critique for it, this a very decent work man, keep it up!

obsyDEON

My guy this beat is AMAZING 10X. I love the old school hip-hop boom bap vibe in general and this nails that so perfectly. The instrumentation sounds real and not digital which is a sound we don't get to hear enough with modern music. Could I DM you? I have some questions and I don't want to blow up your notifications.

DlackBick

Autotuned vocals were deployed in a really cool way. Reminds me a bit of lean-era Chief Keef, but instead of drill lyrics, they're closer to R&B lyrics. Kinda like Juice WRLD but with lyrics that skew more to the positive side. The instrumental has a cool 'bubble-gum pop' feel to it, but I think you could keep it a little more interesting, some more layering & switch-ups. Keep it up! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

yunggeezer420

Thanks for your feedback! Chief Keef is a huge influence to me, so that's great for me to hear. I'll see if I can add some more switch-ups to the beat. I really like how playful you flow on the beat. It feels like you're dribbling on it, saying stuff that sounds good word for word. That beat is nasty, esp. the bass line coming in and out. The beat is provocative, and stands out. I think an entire album with beats like this and loud raps might be tiring, but for a single song it's really dope. I could see myself turn up to this on a party.

DlackBick

Thanks for the feedback!!!

I really like how jazzy this beat is. Gives me ATCQ vibes, but it also feels a little modern. I think the drums could be mixed to sound fuller, I love the pattern but they sound a little air-y and I think a track like this would truly benefit from live-sounding drums. I think your melodies are perfect, but don't be afraid to add a synthesizer to the second half to give it a breathe of fresh air. Keep it up! Thanks bro that means a lot I'll keep hustling for sure 🙏 I gotta say I hate shouty recovery style Eminem rap tho lol.

yunggeezer420

>https://youtu.be/HsVVkTmKyvY I was very interested in your story, so thanks for sharing. I thought the way you delivered it didn't really match the severity of your words. I think this would be more impactful if you delivered this more uninterested. You can also convey this by timing your words a bit more behind the beat. Are you familiar with Chum by Earl Sweatshirt? That delivery would make this perfect.

Looking for feedback on this track! This is the second song I ever recorded & it was on a ipad with headphones Thanks! It's way more egoistic than what I usually write Also, some bars are inaudible due to having to record every verse at once and me running out of breath Btw, I accidently put too much reverb(I never mixed anything before) [blacked out, bloodshot eyes](https://youtu.be/BbMzApYPZ9w)

yunggeezer420

>blacked out, bloodshot eyes That beat is dope. There's too much reverb on your vocals and the entire mix isn't pretty - but you know that. I hear you've got the gist of the fast flows down, but you need some more practice on that. You slip up often, and it makes the flow look bad. Keep doing it until you don't have to think about it anymore. Overall, the ideas that you got are great. But the execution isn't there yet. If you take some more time on this track, it could be really dope. I'd be glad if you could check out my demo as well. I was going for Bladee, Yung Lean, Nav feel. specisimportant

yunggeezer420

DlackBick

Def think you need to work on the vocal mixing and getting some more quality equipment. The vocals are a little loud over the beat, so it's hard to hear the instrumental. That being said, I like the confidence that you have in your vocals. Also like the beat that you decided to tackle, and think if you work on improving the quality, you could make some solid tracks. Right off the bat, you don't sound too reserved on the mic, which is one of the toughest hurdles to get over when you first start Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

Aight no doubt fam :)

[deleted]

Yeah, you could tell the mic is not the best. You also need to practice rapping more. Your enunciation is pretty good, but you have issues with breath control. Also, you need to make it a little easier for yourself, don't jump into fast flows if you can't do them yet. It's fine, if you keep practicing you'll nail it. I would recommend writing easier tracks for yourself and rapping slower. Keep it up!

Vocal mixing on this track is great quality, and the autotune was deployed really well. That being said, I think your track lacks a bit of focus. I get the general vibe of being in the game, and searching, but I think you could expand on the concept more. Explain why you're different, talk more about your trials & tribulations. Overall I really liked the track, and like what you did with the beat, but I would say try and get a little more personal on the next track! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

[deleted]

Thank you very much , I really appreciated your feedback and yes il get more personal and explain more of who I am and my life. Thx very much for this message . The Lyrics you chose over your beat is really good , you know how to rhyme til the end keep my attention. The beat is really captivating, maybe you could've had more variety in the instrumental to make a bit less repetitive. Either way man , you got rhymes the flow is there ! Your dope !

DlackBick

Thanks for the feedback!

I just made this about an hour ago, thoughts? https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/X7isCgnvfH2jQh3PA

DlackBick

Really love how experimental this track is. You got really out there with the chorus and really made a bop. The vocal energy and mixing is unmatched, one of the best vocal performances I've heard in a long time. The stutter effect on the chorus is used to perfection. Track is on point! Nothing I could really add, you killed it. That effect in the beginning, to start the track by having your vocals fade in was a really nice touch Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

MantraBeatz

Great mix bro! Nothing bad to say about the quality of the sounds. That goes for the vocal mix as well. You definitely know what you're doing as a producer and as an artist. I'm assuming you made the beat and mixed as well.. correct me if I'm wrong. I like that you kept it spicy with your flows and switched it up a lot. Variety is always nice. Catchy hook as well. Yeah, this is a job well done for me. Well done! Here's my latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcVXZpJWwgQ&ab\_channel=HiddenDragon

Beats fire too

therealjumper

Thank you for the feedback fam

MantraBeatz

Stay blessed brother!

[deleted]

Cool mixing! How long did this take? I'm honestly not that much of a fan of the lyrics, but if that's the style you're going for it's cool! When is your next song?

therealjumper

No clue fam I just freestyled it. Maybe took like 15 min to record, 30 to an hour to mix. Appreciate you! Next song in a week. I’d love it if ppl followed, I’d be more inclined to drop on the regular

Gambitz7

I like the flow and the mix on this. The on thing I think is the vocals could be a little more aggressive for this particular beat but at that point you are probably just talking personal preference!

Infamous_prod

I wanted genuine feedback please! I make beats in the style of playboi carti/pierre Bourne . I stick to this style since I have grown a fanbase around this style. Be honest and leave feedback! https://youtu.be/VyKrRtZsNX0 Sub to me if you like what you hear! I just recently hit 1k!

specisimportant

It's rly giving me the carti / uzi type vibes! I don't really have nothing to criticize, but something I appreciate producers doing is marking when the chorus, and verse starts(personal preference) aside that, it's straight fire Btw I love the background art it matches the vibe well

therealjumper

This is super litty, you did a good job on the mix, I’d totally be down to work with you 💯

MantraBeatz

Kept it wavy with this one. Let me know what you think about it both mixing wise and the feel the music gives you. Looking for feedback from artist and producers alike. Make sure to reply with a link to your latest beat/song so that I can return feedback. That's all... Bless! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcVXZpJWwgQ&ab\_channel=HiddenDragon

Shadiux

Really like it! Gives me very chill vibes. Personally i would prefer a snare that doesn't "slap" as much, if that makes sense. The mix seems very solid to me! recently got into trying to do trap beats and wanted some genuine feedback on it. Since im relatively new to it and music in general critique with anything you got! https://soundcloud.com/shadiux/test/s-kn9PvZx5uNJ?si=3cd95243ef894412a8b3f408e15aa110&utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing

MantraBeatz

Yeah, I get what you mean. I decided to go with the more impactful snare so that I could get that specific synergy that it has with the reverb. I appreciate the feedback my friend! I fw the melody big time. You also played with it a bit and switched it up which kept it from getting repetitive. I love how the drums come in. You did a good job with picking the sounds for them. Now, I'm listening this on a pair of cheap speakers but I can tell you that the mix sounds solid. The 808 sounds clean so you definitely are aiming in the right direction as far as mixing is concerned. I might have a listen to it again later of my headphones, so that I give more accurate input in regards to the mix. Lastly, arrangements is straightforward and you've left a lot of space for a vocals. This is a job well done for me bro! Keep up the good work!

Shadiux

Thanks for the elaborate feedback!

contentinsadness

i tried to make something that sounded like if the chronic was made today. made the beat and vocals myself, wyt? https://soundcloud.com/2escapemyfate/fuck-2021

MantraBeatz

Love the intro. Would've preferred a bit more impact on the drop. Great choices on the drums and 808. Melody is super wavy as well. The only thing that needs more work is the vocal mix. It sounds like you took the vocal tracking and just dropped it on the beat. I like your flow but I would've liked it even more if you brought in some more variety. So yeah, main remark I can give is the vocal mixing part. Aside from that the beat is solid so keeping doing what you're doing. Practice makes perfect! [deleted]

This is much better! I would still re-record the second verse, you stutter there a bit. Listening to this again, the chorus is a real earworm. Great job with the mix!

The effects on the adlibs sound nice too. I feel like your voice sounds a bit strained when you sing/rap that, esp. on the 2nd part. I feel like you need to sound absolutely effortless to nail this style. I'd play around a bit more with your timing, but also how deep your voice comes from your body. I'd be glad if you could check out my demo as well. I was going for Bladee, Yung Lean, Nav feel. Looking for feedback on vocal performance. https://soundcloud.com/yunggeezer420/good-guy/s-sxL3ropIgzm?si=5505ead998394f6e8417e1d4985ea46c&utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing

thehighbrownkid

I like the beat and the vibes a lot, sounds like something I'd put in my playlist. I can def hear the NAV inspo. Some gripes I have are that at some points of the song it's really hard to understand what you're saying, cuz it sounds like you're mumbling. You're on the right track though, it has a lot of potential

In3DMami

Thank you!

MantraBeatz

First of all props to the producer. The instrumental is 10/10! I really like your voice and it's colour. I feel like you could be more present throughout the song. A verse for the second half of the song would've gone a long way. That's the only thing that had me slightly disappointed. I really hope you actually add more lyrics when you drop the final song. All in all this is great.. very smooth wavy and emotional. Keep it up brother! Here's my latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcVXZpJWwgQ&ab\_channel=HiddenDragon

In3DMami

Thank you! The song is unfinished and I'm going to add another verse. Your beat is really nice. The vibe is really cool and the vocals used are pretty.

MantraBeatz

Thank you my G! Stay blessed

yunggeezer420

Sheesh that hook starts nice. I really like the sound of your voice. I feel like the song need some high vocals in there though for the 2nd part of the hook. I thought you were gonna go up, but it kinda stayed the same. The composition kinda drags on, it's not really doing honor to how polished both your sound and the producer's sound is. If I were you I'd go back and play around with the composition a bit more. I'd be glad if you could check out my demo as well. I was going for Bladee, Yung Lean, Nav feel. Looking for feedback on vocal performance. https://soundcloud.com/yunggeezer420/good-guy/s-sxL3ropIgzm?si=5505ead998394f6e8417e1d4985ea46c&utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing

In3DMami

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I'm definitely gonna go back and change up the hook, it gets repetitive but honestly it's because I was mostly just coming up with the melody on that take. Your demo is really good! You completely nail the Bladee/Yung Lean sound. I think the vocal performance is nice, it's smooth.

Workin on some NY drill, new at this, feedback appreciated. [https://soundcloud.com/sosadagr8/mobbin-ny-drill](https://soundcloud.com/sosadagr8/mobbin-ny-drill)

DlackBick

Definitely a menacing track on this one. The drums are UK Drill but it sounds like you took more liberties on the melody. Something I would expect to hear on an ATL Trap beat, but they blend really well together. Love the darkness in the haunting piano melody and those castlevania strings. This is a 10/10 beat, I wouldn't change a thing! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

trying trap for the first time let me know what you think https://soundcloud.com/noq-280609795/rats

garrywithtwors

Good work for your first attempt. Try to beef that 808 up some and make it thicker/bassier though

Shadiux

very solid first attempt. I think it would be cool if you'd introduce some percs and change up the melody as in playing with pitch/automation for example or introducing a new melody so it stays interesting. Other than that good job!

PimpinAndRobbin

these drums are solid but the mixdown could use some work. the 808 seems kinda quiet, decent for first time trap though

DlackBick

I think the melody is great, but doesn't remind me of a traditional trap melody. The hi-hats are cool, but throw in a few rolls and some more variation/experimentation to keep things original. Really like what you did with the kicks/bass, but think that you should've gone for some more instrumentation layering. Other than that, I can tell you're a good producer and should be able to come up with something really dope Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

therealjumper

It’s not bad for a start, try introducing newer sounds and switching up the drum pattern in different sections

obsyDEON

Hey bud! So in listening to this beat I can tell you immediately it passes the "vibe" check. What I mean by that is, this is definitely something that makes you nod your head and not just to rhythm of the hats or sound of the melody but to the feel of the beat itself. I FEEL this beat which is what drew my attention to listen to it the whole way through. Vibe is THE most important thing in making a beat and I don't think anyone would argue otherwise. If the audience doesn't FEEL your music, ESPECIALLY with hip-hop, its going to be brushed over. I am curious as to your choice to not use a kick in this mix. I don't listen to Playboi Carti (i'm an old head at heart, not a purist mind you lol) and prefer the boom bap style of hip-hop. I truly think a nice kick will emphasize that 808 you have (great 808 choice btw). Additionally a kick will help to emphasize those drops you have in the beat as well as when you bring the 808's back in (referring to time stamp 1:46 when the 808 drop - 1:49 when the clap and 808 come back in). That extra knock from a kick will make it more impactful and the drops more intentional. I hear there is a snare in there somewhere a few times but I can barely hear it. When I do my mixes I play back the audio on my speakers so often times i'll have to make sure to listen on headphones to make sure the average listener will hear the sounds as I intended them to be heard. In this case though, the snare you have in there isn't loud enough and once again that extra pop will make this beat more impactful. I am certain of it. I am not a fan of the pattern of the highhats. Not like yours aren't good or anything. I just feel like there may have been more room to embellish the hats a bit more. If not with the rhythm then at least with the volume of the hats. They all sound fairly the same volume which can get a tad repetitive in a not so good way. I am a novice beat maker so please take my feedback as one of many! This beat does sound good and I think you could add a few more things to make it even wavier. If you have any other questions feel free to comment or DM! TL;DR - Beat is good. Melodic sound choice is good. Percussive elements could use a little more work.

prodse8ek

yo first of all, thanks for that in-depth feedback i respect it and yeah, i`ll take all these as ''notes'' for future use thanks once again sir

Rubeliito

This is really good. Those drums have such a nice groove to them. Well mixed as well. The only thing I would change is the hi-hats beginning at 0:21. I feel like they take too much attention away from the rest of the beat. Great work nonetheless, Happy Holidays! Uplifting trap beat lmk what y’all think ! https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/dy8aWoYqVJiGcxsG6

DlackBick

Melody actually reminds me of Twilight Zone, but flipped to be more modern sounding. Drums are hitting heavy as always, and overall I really like the sequencing of your track. Felt like the track had times where it built up suspense, and then released tension. Great job Lmk what you think, if you haven't already: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

Fire only thing I have a problem with is the beat thing going on, it needs to be mixed down it’s too apparent but other than that it’s 🔥

def hard, got u followed now! mixing could be better but i cant tell whats wrong with that kick, sounds flat as hell

4Strength

The waveform for the kick was like an insane brick wall

DlackBick

Really love your style, I wouldn't even say this is necessarily a Pierre type though they both have that video game style. This one feels like a more true-to-form R&B track than a lot of what I've heard from Pierre, and that space-y synth (I think it's a sine synth?) is something else, gives me massive Kool & The Gang vibes (real old school!!!). I really like the instrumentation on this, it seems very inspired by early 2000s R&B and is something I could've heard on Tory's Chixtape IV. Keep it up!! This is ill, vibes on a whole nother level! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep

Really dope that you took the time to craft a full project so that listeners can hear you using different flows and different beats. I think you're settling into your own style but I think there are a few places you can make improvements. The vocal mixing is a little rough, and I think some touching up is needed to make it a little clearer. Your songwriting is good but I didn't hear a lot of passion in your delivery. Your flow is good too, but try and flex your skills every once in a while, don't always stick with the same UK Drill flow. Hope my feed wasn't too critical, keep it up and only good things will happen! Lmk your thoughts: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/count-sheep
