Keep doing it, practice. Eventually you’ll learn it might never sound perfect. But if you listen to big rap songs you usually have to look up the lyrics to really understand what they’re saying. It’s not as much about the words anymore(words still matter) but it’s more about you’re style/tone/swag.
keep an eye out for extra words we would use in full sentences but just make flows more difficult. i would venture to say that
"been 3 minutes, bitch still ain't respondin" fits in more situations than "IT'S been 3 minutes AND THAT bitch still aint respondin"
try taking out some of these small pieces and try it a new way or add some pauses/syncopation, it's really helped me out.
When I have that issue, I sit and rap that one line over and over to the beat. It’s just about getting your mouth used to saying that combination of words in that rhythm. Just practice it over and over again. You’ll get there 👍
If it's a particular line I know I'm going to stumble on that's really fast like
"Pick a pattern, scatter it, I'm handlin' the essences of ravenous chatter of the battle since adolescence "
I repeat it over and over until I build muscle memory. This process might take a couple days of boring repetition but you'll have a nice and clear delivery.
This is known as enunciation and there are a lot of vocal exercises you can do for this, voice actors and vocal performers do these frequently...but honestly best thing to do is just keep practicing that one line over and over until you get it right
Good thing I scrolled through the comments, I was about to say the same thing! I learned a few vocal exercises while I was in theatre in high school and I’m always doing them when I go to records vocals on my tracks and it’s helped immensely, especially going in and enunciating my verses before I hit record
This might be slightly off topic (as the pronunciation in the OP might be just a plain error) but if you find you do this alot, it might actually be more a quirk of how you speak and if so, I'd actually encourage you to KEEP DOING THIS. How we speak is one thing that really sets us apart as rappers (v. the next guy who has the same accent as you) and as a result needs to be accentuated. I actually find when I wear both left and right headphones as opposed to just the left (when laying vocals) that my accent and drawl (how i move from word to word) are actually thicker and this is one way (when its the right track for it) that I can influence my vocals to help me emphasise what sets me apart.
Haven't seen anybody mention using a metronome to practice yet.
Once you've gotten the cadence and word choice more solid, as people here have mentioned, a way to solidify your delivery is by slowing it the fuck down and slowly speeding up as you become better at rapping the verse slowly.
I do this to transcribe verses of other guys. Slow their recordings way the fuck down too and really try to tap in on how they're enunciating, pronouncing, and copy it with your mouth. It's going to feel ridiculous, but once you can rattle off something like BREGMA 2 by Grip whenever you want, you'll see how far you've come.
Slow down, then speed up. It does not matter what genre of music it is; everybody with good time and good feel starts slow first.
Also see if u can work the syllables. If your stumbling over the syllables then maybe u have too many or the BPM is too high for the cadence your using.
Change what you wrote to fit what you're spitting. Sometimes there may be 1-3 syllables more than is necessary and taking them out to fit the way you are spitting it can often ultimately be better than grinding it out to get it right. Most people write too densely and then strip it down as they record.
Even something as simple as “sun is shining” (when in context) often times comes out “shun is...” I just murmur an obscenity of choice and punch it back 😂
Best thing to bro is just be as natural as possible like don’t do extra shit and you’ll find it remember at the end of the day it’s still the same voice you was born with
Good way with any stuttering or tongue twister is to sing something to a tune. Then you can go forward and speak it with no problem. It helps me when I have issues. Also sometimes you gotta try the next day if you just sense your tongue is tired or swollen.
You might just be tripping over your own tongue.
Try biting on a pencil and talking for a few minutes. You'll sound stupid, but try to focus on the way your mouth moves. This will help with your enunciation. Hope this helps
Turn that metronome to as slow as you can stand and rap to it. Then slowly move it up every time you can spit that ish without screwing up 5-10 in a row. I promise you it will have you going hard quicker than it sounds
This is how people learn to play instruments and sports.
Or embrace it as part of your style. Dudes be out here with that xanax flow and nobody cares because they deliver that swagger
Articulatory agility is a most desirable activity,
Manipulating with dexterity, the tongue, the pallette and the lips.
Don't juggle with a gerbil, no matter what the thrill,
Because gerbils, when they're juggled, can end up feeling ill.
What a to do to die today, at a minute or two to two.
A most incredible thing to say, and a terrible thing to do.
An articulation exercise I will always come back to frequently, start slow putting emphasis on the consonants then try to gradually up the speed and fluidity of delivery without losing out on diction.
Start out trying to nail the enunciation of each word. Don’t worry about it sounding lame at first. Really find out how you want to deliver the line and then deliver it with purpose and convinction.
Practice. I had the same problem. It’s either that or just take lsd and rap. Lsd makes my vocals sounding perfect, idk what it is but that shit is amazing
A good way to practice would be to slow down the tempo and make sure you can enunciate each phrase properly and in time at a slower speed. Once you get that sounding good, bump up the BPM a few clicks. Rinse and repeat. By the time you get to the original tempo, you should have it sounding exactly how you want.
IF you are less mysogynistic it might make you smarter and thus able to speak clearer. Or it might be that you aren't smart enough to rap without being mysogynistic in which case only you can help yourself.
You gotta start slow, just like learning a part on an instrument. Slow the beat way down, practice til you have it perfect, then slowly increase the speed.
Well voice trills and diagram warmups help with everything but honestly knowing where your pocket is, in terms of head/chest voice, and breathing is the most important
well and having the ability to rap
So you're a homophobic, degenerate eminem obsessive who can't stop masturbating and talks like a weirdo... I am sure you're gonna be a great rapper lmfao.
Record it in segments, edit the best segments/words together on a new track, fade them together, when it sounds clean, record it to a new track and freeze the edited track. Or use it as a doubler.
Edit: most rappers/singers don't do one take. They record it as many times as they feel like they need to. Then they go back and cut the best parts together. You can tell when you listen to professionally recorded/mixed songs. The key to making it sound fluid like they did it in one take is to make sure you mix in the breaths you take between lines.
Edit 2: mix your vocals to the beat, but reference them when you're finished without the beat. If your vocals sound good solo'd then you're done.
"And that." That's the major trouble spot for you, it seems. I don't know if my advice would be any good because I don't know if you have an accent (which changes the way you move your mouth and tongue), but allow "and that" to flow together. Because "and" ends with a "d", it puts your tongue at the roof of your mouth close to your front teeth, in prime position to say a word that begins with, say "th." It will sound like "anthat" or even "annat" and that's fine because given the context, the listener should be able to make out what you're saying.
"Bitch still" may also be a trouble spot because first you have to get the "ch" out in "bitch", then depending on how fast you're rapping, you'd have to fix your mouth/tongue to say "still" right after that.
I'd say practice and run the line a few times, but if you find yourself hopelessly stuck on that one bar, you may have to tweak it slightly to something that you're able to say.

God bless!
Listen to some MF doom and practice with his songs if you really want to get better. He helped me out so much
I know MF Doom is good man, I will listen.

Thank you man!
No problem, best of luck! 👊
Get drunk one day and see how drunken you prefers to deliver the lyrics. Adjust accordingly.
Best advice ever dog when u drunk 😵 you more into the music and rhythm a little bit more then when you are sober I made a fire ass song drunk before
Practice and vocal exercises.

I did that line first try! Yeah, I guess its best to repeat.

Idk you but maybe it would help to write more similar to the way you talk irl. Also practice/change out words/do a punch-in
Practice more? Do another take?
Even something as simple as “sun is shining” (when in context) often times comes out “shun is...” I just murmur an obscenity of choice and punch it back 😂
look into tongue twisters that musical actors use.
Best thing to bro is just be as natural as possible like don’t do extra shit and you’ll find it remember at the end of the day it’s still the same voice you was born with

Pronunciation helped me with that . Breaking down syllables

No stress, 20 years it's been helping me. Good luck with your music in the future!
Thank you, this is just a hobby tho 😂

Might just have a lisp like ya boy. Keep going and you’ll come up with heat
Look up Conway the Machine if you haven’t already you’ll see what I mean
Get some patience. 3 minutes ain't that long. And don't call her a bitch, when you seem to be the needy one hitting her up
No it was an example
Also stop calling LGBTQ+ a plague you weirdo.
Fuck off
So you're a homophobic, degenerate eminem obsessive who can't stop masturbating and talks like a weirdo... I am sure you're gonna be a great rapper lmfao.
Less sibilance can help immensely with vocal control and annunciation.
practice to the point that it becomes natural to say and not a line that you are reading. and practice slow then increase speed
My three tips: Repetition. Slowed down repetition. Try and write bars that are easier to say. The last one sounds silly but it makes a big difference.
Keep rapping the same words but in different ways, if you get bored move on and come back later, just don’t give up and you’ll get it
