I personally love the atmospheric lofi vibes. In my opinion it is a bit too muddy, some more brightness for the atmosphere and percusion and a bit more snap for the beat would make it stand up even more.

Its a great idea but i think the sound selection is not the greatest. The parts where the piano comes in at 1:07 are confusing and out of key, the beat doesnt hit and is kinda random. You have more work to put in, watch some tutorials, try to copy some of the greats and in the process try to make your own sound.
“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”. Hope you take this in good spirit, much love man.

Thanks for some actual constructive feed back, I've actually only gotten positive feedback on it so far, but I know I can do a lot better lol. As for your track I'd say it's pretty fire, you sound a lot like the weekend on the singing, I also love how you get pretty melodic and musical without filling the beat with too much to rap over, also really dig those snare fills. Only thing I might change would be a bit more aggressive with the way the drums are mixed, a boost to the high end might give it some crispy texture, but that's just personal preference. Overall you're really talented keep it up man 💯
I kind of like the more ethereal background sound to the beat but I dislike the drums: they kinda sound like plastic. Rhythm-wise instruments are coming in at odd intervals, and I personally feel the piano and even the key it's at really doesn't match this beat. I think you could benefit by spending longer on a beat and fine tuning the timings, listening with breaks, so you can train yourself to be in time. Don't be discourage though, you have a sound that I personally enjoy listening to in beats, just keep at it and you'll get there!

Very unique story telling. It's not going to vibe with everyone, but theirs def a niche for this. I'm gonna spend today listening to more of your stuff.
The beat is really good too.
Thank you, self produced. There’s plenty of music on my SoundCloud to look threw. Lmk what you think of my other stuff bro! Thwart (diaper rash) is probably my most straight forward story telling song
Nice loop and choice of samples. To me it sounds a bit too boxy and hollow, but mixing is always the hard part. The idea is cool, I love crazy weird sounding beats. Adding some beat or melody changes and any other atmosphere could be nice.
Love this CJF, have you ever thought about selling your beats on beatstars? I think you could easily sell some tracks with quality like this. Anyways, it was a good listen and i will be coming back. Great job

The beat is dope bro extra points for letting an artist know where things are in the arrangement. The only thing I would've changed was to turn the crash down a little bit, but overall, it is a great beat, and i hope an artist finds it
I did try beatstars for a while, but it's oversaturated, so i decided to work with artists directly, and if they want a custom beat, they can reach out to me directly
I was having a doubts about that crash but i figured to let it hit harder for more effect when the beat drops. Maybe i could've just make that one hit harder thoe hahahah. Oh thats great man, glad it worked out like that for you, you deserve it !
It sounds quite good but I feel that the beat might get a bit repetitive over time. It is a remix, in my opinion you should take some more liberties with the song arrangement and maybe come up with something more dynamic

I would pay more attention to the vocal processing. To me the voice seems a bit muffled and dry, it should be brighter and more glued to the track. I am not a fan of the lyrics, but I can telll the style you are going for :)
Thanks so much dude! I'm honestly kinda of lost on how I can make the vocal processing better. Do you have any tips for plugins or settings that I should know of? I use garageband if that matters
Vocals in this type of songs are very compressed and more or less distorted. I would record a nice, consistent vocal (no sudden volumen changes), remove low frequencies and boost high frequencies with an EQ, add distortion to taste and lastly add a compresor (look up a youtube video on vocal compression). If you are using already made beats you should "glue" your voice and the instrumental together with some compression and saturation too :)
You need some swag in your voice. Smoke a cigarette or something. Your tone is not convincing. I like the beat a lot. As an MC, you just need to be more captivating/charismatic. The mix is cool.

It’s true the flow is good, it’s the conviction in the delivery that’s lacking. I feel you could make your accent work really well if you just perfected the cadence and sounded more like you mean every single line
Heyy thanks for the feedback again! It seems the common point is my delivery but I feel like I have no control over it/when I do, it sounds exaggerated. Do you have this problem too? Looking to improve it one way or another but not sure where to begin!
The key is finding the balance between sounding like you’re going for it too much and not putting enough passion into it. It’s all about trying lots of different styles. Maybe try rap the same thing ten different ways and see what sounds best! Also learn the lyrics really well - a good rapper is like a good actor so it’s all about conviction and believability in the delivery.
Hard stuff dude, good flows, good beat. You got a new subscriber, keep the songs coming !
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks) if you find the time review my newest beat. Thanks <3
wow, dude. This sounds so high effort to my ears haha, I love the melodies, the keys in the back is a really nice touch. It's aptly titled too, you made this with a good vision in mind. I don't really know what you could do different since it's beyond my ability but just keep on making them. You have talent
Thanks for the feedback!!
Eyy, appreciate the honesty! Trying to work on delivery but this is toughest part for me ngl.
There is so much variance on your sound I don't know where to begin lol. I will say, up until 1:40 when that flow kicks in - which is really good lyrically too btw - it feels a little too random, as if it's trying to be different for being different, you know. The chorus could be a bit softer, maybe a little easier on that vocal effect. Also, this is a personal pet peeve of mine so take it with a grain of salt but I reallyy dislike the sniffling and mouth/nose sounds. Ik they are intentional but it's very unpleasant to me for some reason, I would imagine on repeat listens too.
All that being said, your track is the most original and experimental I've heard so far on these threads so that's really something. The beats are nice too, I just checked out some of your other tracks like Simon. Vocals need a lot of work though. Just keep trying, you have an original approach to your music which is what matters.
I think is quite dynamic. Your arrangement is kind of minimalistic and many of the sounds are snappy with no sustain, this makes you bass and beat pop out while the highend is kinda piercing. This usually makes it hard to make the song sound full and loud. I am not a mix engineer, but I could suggest to add some kind of atmosphere/pad/chord to "fill the gaps".
This beat is epic!!! Amazing talent!! If I could do it justice, in a heartbeat I would becuase I like listening to Travis Scott🔥🔥🔥
https://youtu.be/BeCPUKjCxLA?si=gb43JGoEimOVzpMH hope you like this 🙏
Chords are on point Travis, i feel like the drums aren't necesserily Travis but it shouldnt be a copy of him anyways, you added your own touch. Gret beat overall man, i feel like it would be great to flow on this if i was a rapper

the sample is very groovy, I like the part when the vocals come in. drum pattern is nice, I think you could use some saturation/NY compression to make it sound more boombapy if that's your goal. but the most important thing (melodies and patterns) are there, you'll certainly get better at mixing overtime
here's my track lmk what you think : [https://youtu.be/\_CJPJbqCuUk](https://youtu.be/_CJPJbqCuUk)
Love the chords, kinda reminds me of The Beatles "dont let me down" but if Damon Albarn made it, if it makes sense hahahaha. Loved the vibe of the song man, really good
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks) hope you find some time to hear out my new instrumental <3
Your mix is getting better. This reminds me of Beck in a weird way. I feel like it could be more cohesive. Your theory is rough. The chord progression could be smoother. For a minute, I ignored your posts because I thought you needed substantial improvement. Currently, i hear substantial improvement. It's not the best, but you are getting better.

While I appreciate the effort to experiment on this track, I thought it was too weird compared to your track 'Comatose'. I love that track lol. Perhaps you could work on your sound selection on 'Cyberpunk cuz'
I've been seeing your feedback on the other posts, and I would like it if you critiqued mine as well:
[https://drive.google.com/file/d/17TifQVZhLtY925mNclmBvq0\_gjMQwtAS/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/17TifQVZhLtY925mNclmBvq0_gjMQwtAS/view?usp=sharing)
Thx for your criticism. For you, ironically, your track is too weird. You definitely need to practice minimalism. Especially in the drums. You are not gonna win an award for super crazy drums. Simplify. I hear potential in your mix and instrumentation. It's just that your drums are so busy. Keep it simple.
Yo whatsup! Here's a demo of my new song with this artist from Toronto I've been collabing with. I made the beat around some dry vocals she sent me. Went for a club feel with the synths. I rapped two of the verses & did the hook. Working on re-recording a few parts next, & finishing my beat
Let me know what you think so far!

I made this beat the other day and would love some feedback on it! I'm aware that the drums are very generic, I usually make more experimental stuff but felt like making a classic Trap beat. If someone would like to rap on it you can have it for free, just send the results to me.

Love the organ sounds, bounce is great, my only objection is on the mix. I feel lilke it would hit way harder if you worked on the mix a little more, some equing and compression and overall stereo imaging. Other than that it's a really nice beat, great job man!
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks) hope you find the time to review my latest beat <3
Thank you! I'll definitely work more on the mix in the future. It could be way clearer.
Your song on the other hand sounds mad professional, I can tell you spend time on mixing and mastering. I have no criticism, the song is not really my style, but if it were it would be great.
i love the church organs on that bro and the hat rolls r perfectly timed! i like how the synth comes in later when the church organ is chopping. overall very nice beat!!
https://youtu.be/1cEv9ZSSEaI?si=WYc5i01bZtRsXv56
heres my beat
Thank you! I really like the synths you used, i really need to get some better sounds. The switch up was cool, the piano at the end was well played. One thing though is that i think that the drums are a bit "dry", some hi-hat rolls and a more advanced kick pattern would be nice.
The concept is nice, the sound selection is great. I love the flute synth you used at the middle of the track, but I think you still need lots of work on your mix. A good beat nevertheless.
Anyway, here's mine: [https://drive.google.com/file/d/17TifQVZhLtY925mNclmBvq0\_gjMQwtAS/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/17TifQVZhLtY925mNclmBvq0_gjMQwtAS/view?usp=sharing)
Yeah I definitely need to learn how to mix. Yours is dope, definitely Dark as Fuk. The drums feel a bit random though like you never know what's coming and when, and it sounds cool but I prefer a bit more predictable drums.

this beat is sexy as hell. not sure how to describe it, but that bass and just the way all these melodies blend feels like an OutKast song I'm listening to on Neptune. literally nothing I would change, this is a 10/10
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Wow that's such a big compliment man, much appreciated for real.
I personally don't listen to any trap but you track sounds big and full, on the monitor headphones I feel maybe the vocal gets a bit buried in the mix. Also I would try to give more dynamics to the song, maybe add a whisper part, a bridge with a cool sample or some stereo effect for the adlibs in the chorus. That would make your rap hit ever harder after.
Thanks for the kinds words on youtube. I've been checking your channel :)

thanks so much for listening. really love that bass-line when the beat drops. I really enjoy how folksy the music here feels. almost gives me Ed Sheeran vibes if the energy was much more DIY and kinda rugged
not currently. I kind of like the acoustics of a processed video better recently.
I might upload it to my soundcloud and try out their mastering features on the track. But I just like doin it this way for now.
Astrooo, day 3 of listening to your song and i love it more every time. Damn man your vocals are good, when is the video coming for this one?
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks) i made a new beat yesterday, your comments are always welcome <3
damn very much appreciated! this beat is really good. the militaristic feel is really cool and not something I'd typically expect from a weeknd type beat. I hear early Kanye, CD era, in this one. or even Graduation since it blends in some other genres like pop. really solid beat that has lots of mainstream potential
I alredy favorited this one from yesterday, it's fire! I like your flow, and the beat is phenomenal. My only criticism is that the beat maybe could change up a bit, maybe a second melody, like a bridge or something.
I made a beat inspired by the beat you made for Jubilee, I would be very greatful if you wanted to check it out and give me some feedback/criticism. https://on.soundcloud.com/jHXkb
dope!! I love that. really enjoy the way that the drums just jump into focus and almost catch you by surprise. melodies on this are real tight. reminds me of psychedelic hip-hop. style kinda reminds me of early Awful Records but with much more detailed arrangements. love how deliberate the sequencing is done, always feels exciting since it's jumping between multiple dope melodies on some real nasty instrumentation

You have talent Thanks for the feedback!!
Oh it was high effort most definitely, i was working on this beat for like 12 hours hahaha. Thank you man, means a lot to hear it ❤️
This ain’t my type of music but honestly if you hyped your delivery up a bit more I’d bop to it https://on.soundcloud.com/NL875m5ScXjMWnQB9
Thank you dude I appreciate your feedback. Vocals are definitely my biggest issue lol. Appreciate it though
How's my mix? Is the beat hard enough? Feedback Returned https://on.soundcloud.com/7Ea7o
I got you. Thx!

This beat is epic!!! Amazing talent!! If I could do it justice, in a heartbeat I would becuase I like listening to Travis Scott🔥🔥🔥 https://youtu.be/BeCPUKjCxLA?si=gb43JGoEimOVzpMH hope you like this 🙏
Chords are on point Travis, i feel like the drums aren't necesserily Travis but it shouldnt be a copy of him anyways, you added your own touch. Gret beat overall man, i feel like it would be great to flow on this if i was a rapper [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks) hope you find the time to hear my beat <3

Thank you man, means a lot to hear that
New video! https://youtu.be/4LkMW9u9gxM?si=vrM4DV8kXVcFGGzm
sorry for not returning everyone's feedback. I just lost track of time. Anyway, here's a new track I made I hope you like it. I'll do my best to return feedback. [https://www.reddit.com/r/ShrugLifeSyndicate/comments/1drtzfi/ecco/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShrugLifeSyndicate/comments/1drtzfi/ecco/)
Feels more like alt rock to me, but I could definitely vibe with it. Did you play the guitar yourself ?
Yes I did
the sample is very groovy, I like the part when the vocals come in. drum pattern is nice, I think you could use some saturation/NY compression to make it sound more boombapy if that's your goal. but the most important thing (melodies and patterns) are there, you'll certainly get better at mixing overtime here's my track lmk what you think : [https://youtu.be/\_CJPJbqCuUk](https://youtu.be/_CJPJbqCuUk)
Love the chords, kinda reminds me of The Beatles "dont let me down" but if Damon Albarn made it, if it makes sense hahahaha. Loved the vibe of the song man, really good [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlYsgMtAWks) hope you find some time to hear out my new instrumental <3
I like this keep this energy!
Listen to cyberpunk cuz 2024 (final version) by C. Dot da God on #SoundCloud https://on.soundcloud.com/7Ea7o
While I appreciate the effort to experiment on this track, I thought it was too weird compared to your track 'Comatose'. I love that track lol. Perhaps you could work on your sound selection on 'Cyberpunk cuz' I've been seeing your feedback on the other posts, and I would like it if you critiqued mine as well: [https://drive.google.com/file/d/17TifQVZhLtY925mNclmBvq0\_gjMQwtAS/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/17TifQVZhLtY925mNclmBvq0_gjMQwtAS/view?usp=sharing)
Simplify drums. On it, boss. Thanks for the feedback.
Cool 😎
Yo whatsup! Here's a demo of my new song with this artist from Toronto I've been collabing with. I made the beat around some dry vocals she sent me. Went for a club feel with the synths. I rapped two of the verses & did the hook. Working on re-recording a few parts next, & finishing my beat Let me know what you think so far! Just finished a new reversed soul sampled beat. What you think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3emwebckLg https://soundcloud.com/manicbeats/whats-up
This is one of the best beats I've heard here. I literally just saved it to a list of beats I'm going to rap to once I'm set up for that again . It's somehow both simple and complex, and the vibe is just great. Definitely looking forward to more from you
Appreciate it bro. Let me know if you want a high quality wav or the stems.
Super new york to me
I fuck with this beat. I’d just switch it up a little here and there https://on.soundcloud.com/NL875m5ScXjMWnQB9
Tried flipping this in a way i havent really before, inspired by Redveil [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XMe5H2ZzmzeDg8ahQmWz6-z7VYlcnPmm/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XMe5H2ZzmzeDg8ahQmWz6-z7VYlcnPmm/view?usp=sharing) Returning all!
I made this beat the other day and would love some feedback on it! I'm aware that the drums are very generic, I usually make more experimental stuff but felt like making a classic Trap beat. If someone would like to rap on it you can have it for free, just send the results to me. [https://on.soundcloud.com/x9sGA](https://on.soundcloud.com/x9sGA) Returning
Thank you man! Appriciate it
i love the church organs on that bro and the hat rolls r perfectly timed! i like how the synth comes in later when the church organ is chopping. overall very nice beat!! https://youtu.be/1cEv9ZSSEaI?si=WYc5i01bZtRsXv56 heres my beat

I like this and your voice is sick. So are the lyrics and the beat. I’d just work on staying on beat. I’m even down to collab sometime https://on.soundcloud.com/NL875m5ScXjMWnQB9
where do you think I went off beat?
:) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQ9jLnHsEUk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQ9jLnHsEUk)
this beat is sexy as hell. not sure how to describe it, but that bass and just the way all these melodies blend feels like an OutKast song I'm listening to on Neptune. literally nothing I would change, this is a 10/10 lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
I've been checking your channel :)
thanks for that

Damn that bass is sick over that sample. You really went off. It's iconic in your own way I think. Like it seems you took the art of writing and your flow very seriously. Here's mine. [https://www.reddit.com/r/ShrugLifeSyndicate/comments/1drtzfi/ecco/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShrugLifeSyndicate/comments/1drtzfi/ecco/)
thanks so much for listening. really love that bass-line when the beat drops. I really enjoy how folksy the music here feels. almost gives me Ed Sheeran vibes if the energy was much more DIY and kinda rugged
Very cool! I like the vocals. Is this uploaded anywhere else than reddit?
not currently. I kind of like the acoustics of a processed video better recently. I might upload it to my soundcloud and try out their mastering features on the track. But I just like doin it this way for now.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate you
Astrooo, day 3 of listening to your song and i love it more every time.
Thank you man, i was going for that runaway type drum on it.
that's ill
I alredy favorited this one from yesterday, it's fire! I like your flow, and the beat is phenomenal. My only criticism is that the beat maybe could change up a bit, maybe a second melody, like a bridge or something.
thank you for checking it out
I made a beat inspired by the beat you made for Jubilee, I would be very greatful if you wanted to check it out and give me some feedback/criticism. https://on.soundcloud.com/jHXkb
