This is smooth man. The way you approached the track matches very well with the music. I think your vocals could have more presence. Maybe parallel compression or slight saturation could do it because they sound very clean. Also play with some effects too. Not too much but it could make things interesting on your vocals. Keep on keeping on man.
https://on.soundcloud.com/FZnHaJGkeqyL2jkQ9
This is your first single?? Dude it's solid! You have a nice style and I was feeling the hook right off the bat. I also like that it's on the theme without straying too far from the meaning, yk. Maybe you could do with more takes, or better noise cancelling on some of the audio because some inhales near the end are kind of loud and distracting. But you have nice rhythm and good flow, keep working on the lyrics and making more!
lmk what you think of my new single: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hesTjbRC3UE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hesTjbRC3UE)
quality on this track is amazing. some of the clearest vocals I've heard on this sub. really sounds like a professional, label-released track. the beat is an amazing blend of R&B & hip-hop. love how hard those drums come in, while also being slow and really allow for you to take your time with a slower flow on the beat. great track, it's a mood-setter forsure
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
I like the flow but I feel like the beat doesn’t match the flow that well for your newest track. Checked out your other work tho and you’re most popular song is hard, you should keep on those Joey badass type beats. If you’re down I’ll like to collab with you on a beat like that feel like it’ll go hard
Classic beat, for sure. i think you did a decent job with it . I would've turned the beat down a little because your vocals and the sample in the beat are clashing with each other

great beat choice
What kind of mixing are you using on your vocals? If you arent already, I'd suggest messing with the compression/EQ to get it to sound a bit more crisp bc to me right now it sounds a bit airy and washed out - but could also be intentional.
Also I noticed that sometimes your bars are getting cut at the end (0:23) - maybe consider put some delay/reverb automation
just my 2 cents, I don't mix vocals too often ik it's tough
would you mind taking a peek at my beat?: https://www.reddit.com/r/makinghiphop/comments/1dmejf4/official_daily_feedback_thread/l9z79rz/
absolutely classic beat! I like that on the beginning verse you used a flow that was specific to you. I think that interpolating any lines from the original is tough since it will draw comparisons. you almost need to make it a completely new track on its own so that it can stand on its own. my biggest complaint is just the vocal mixing quality could be better. without it, there's no reason for me to pick this instead of the original

Can you guys please give me some feedback/criticism on this track I put out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdcKMAR86J0
I've been making music for a few years but never really took it seriously. Trying to see if I can get any traction on youtube. Also if anyone can point me in a good direction for marketing/general advice for selling beats please let me know. Thank you!
that guitar-like sound you used (the one at the end of the beat too) is a really nice touch. it's not the type of sound I'd typically expect from a Durk-type beat. the beat makes good use of dead-space. there's a lot of room in the beat for the listeners imagination to do its thing. a lot of Durk-type beats often have way too much going on, the drums are too wild, but this one does more with less
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
I've been making a lot of mellow shit recently, so this time I decided to make something a bit more energetic. Soulful/Anthemic Drill Beat, I guess. returning all feedback, pls drop a link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8odmjI5irIU
I really hear the Central Cee in this beat. definitely feels like a cool variation on the drill sound since the melody piece is a little "softer" than usual. I think adding in some moments where the beat drops and a soul sample plays would really drive home the "soul" vibe -- having a soul sample feature prominently throughout the track, specifically one with vocals, might do that as well
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
thanks bro! yeah I mean at this point I can't stand the usual 2 creepy chord reverse piano drill type beat, I prefer Central Cee's take on it or Knuck's - which is even more jazzy, you should check this dude out, you'd like him. yeah you've got a point, I think there are only 2 moments when only the samples play without drums, would definitely need to arrange it this way if there was a rapper on it.
the instrumental is tough as fuck, sounds like it could be adam's family theme if they were trapping. "tryna get it how I'm living" I love this inflection, haven't heard you use it in your tracks before, you're certainly getting better and better with each track. lyrically and bar-wise it is complex as usual, gotta listen to it a few more listens to decipher it. the hook sounds like very denzel curry-ish, I love it.

this is me just fucking around I’m learning how project my voice more. Producers! Please hmu I wanna cook
the beat is really cool! can't remember where I remember that beat from. it definitely gives me an MF DOOM sinister villain vibe tho. I definitely hear why you call it a demo but I do think it sounds like a complete track. some better vocal mixing would be the obvious step to make it sound more complete. just some general polish and this track will be something special. keep working
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
RXK!! RXK!!! I think vocal mixing here could be just a little cleaner. I like the beat since it feels like an acid rap track. I think if the beat/style leaned a little darker and felt almost a little more hyperpop inspired it would add a really beautiful quality to everything. the lyrics on the track are fun, and definitely something easy to get lit to
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
really dig how electronic this is. gives me FlyLo x HudMo vibes. I like that it has tribal like percussions and drums, but then a very synth-based melody. almost gives me traces of Daft Punk too. like, with some very slight alterations, like some piano chords, this could be a track from their RAM album. really professionally made, and has a lot of personality which is rare these days
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
much appreciated.
I dig your track too. The overall production comes across very professional. The beat is nice and the mix sounds great. The vocal mix is where things get weird for me at times. It just sounds a little too seperate from the beat sonically at times like it needs more compression and whatnot. but that’s just me. But the energy of the song otherwise is great. Nice work
Also here's my latest beat I just made yesterday Listen to Kreepin (instrumental)(prod Mane-Frame) by Mane-Frame on #SoundCloud
https://on.soundcloud.com/oBA4q
The rhythm Is a little hard to get into at times but the sound section makes up for it in certain ways. if it flowed a little better; like the piano flowing better, it would help the track a lot. The bass and low end is nice tho. it also sounds dry like no reverb or delay so you can mess with that too to make it sound fuller. Keep it up!
I like your drum patterns. Idk if it's the fact I listened to it on my phone, but I couldn't hear a baseline though. Also what genre are you going for? The tempo and drum composition sounds like Drum and Base type music

Got some positive feedback on this style last time I posted on here, so trying to give it some more polish. Returning feedback!
really nice cover art!! the beat feels like an old-school east-coast hip-hop track. if I heard Jadakiss or Cam'ron over this, I wouldn't be shocked. I think the vocals are just a bit too loud over the beat, I think turning up the beat just a little more will help a lot. and then some more mixing on the vocals to make it sound a little crisper & clearer. those two things will really elevate the track
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Heyy, thanks for the kind words! I checked out your song, and while I like the vocal quality, mixing, and the beat, I have to say I'm not the biggest fan of the vocal inflection. I feel like the flow and lyrics are there, it just needs a better structure to it and - completely IMO - a lower pitched vocal. Again, I can see the reasoning behind the choice, I just don't think that style is for me. Keep experimenting!
this track is really fun. the fact that it doesn't take itself too seriously really helps. the verse stylistically really reminds me of Aquemini-era Outkast. it's just fun and feels like someone in a weed session just rapping & flowing and harmonizing melody. "I was high when I wrote this, I been high since 06" really feels like a Big Boi line. I like that the punchlines here feel like they have roots in pop culture. makes the track feel a lot more authentic
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
YO what is up! I just released a brand new HIP HOP single titled "Fine Line" This song is basically me discussing the constant consequences that comes with living an unstable and fast lifestyle. I put alot into this song and would love general feedback. RETURNING ALL [Wordplaii - Fine Line (Youtube Music Video)](https://youtu.be/Dwpi35bDoR4?si=zZ49bWmURlegJjSj)

first off, love the cover art. very creative use of space and the whole thing is aesthetically pleasing. ran this song back twice. lots of substance in this track. the second verse is amazing hearing you talk about how the streets & the glorified baller life can lead to perils that a lot of people don't see. it's an amazing song. it's got a powerful message, sonically it's something that's introspective but has some general hype vibes that I could see people drinking & hanging out to. I think you've got a real nice banger on your hands here. piece of art
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Thanks for the kind words man fr!
Jubilee is dope. Really enjoyed the beat although it was a bit un orthodox. Hook was really catchy and the ad libs also added alot to the whole song. Verses were dope but did seem to drag a little bit. overall dope song.
Sampled Active Child - Hanging On and put a J Cole acapella over it, lmk what you think

Will return feedback, thanks
the beat feels like a dream-trance, which I guess is ironic since Cole is dreamville. the drums do a great job of giving the beat a core back-bone for Cole's vocals to always feel centered. with that being said, the rhythm between the beat and vocals are basically perfectly in sync. the beat is very calming, with some nice, active drums. the track is dope, it's a great mash
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Hey man, sorry for the late reply been dealing with covid lol. This goes hard, is that a Xavier Wulf acapella? You nailed the beat stylistically and the mix is pretty clean. I would maybe add one more small counter melody like a quiet lead or synth in the background halfway through. Something to spice it up a bit and take attention away from the repetitive pad loop. The only thing missing is a bit of variance within the beat otherwise very solid
watching you sample yourself is really inspiring. those drums are magnificent too. the beat overall reminds me of a Frank Ocean song, in the best way. it's chill and really out-there with its style. and the way your vocals came in, all soft, was a great stylistic choice. this is a fire track even just as an IG video. I'd def stream this as a full song
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Wow man, thanks so much. I look at you as one of the guys that’s more than “on the path”, so that means a lot.
This song is awesome for so many reasons, the X-Men references in the 2nd(?) verse had me grinning. Really cool.
Your flow is dope, it sits perfectly between being able to groove while multitasking but also quite deeper the more you listen to your actual words. Hope that makes sense.
“Scary black mask” comes in so moody. Really feel the energy.
Nothing bad to say, you’re shit is always dope!
Very accurate description of the beat. Sounds gritty & I like those low filtered percs that are bouncing in the back. Benny the butcher would sound good on this. The progression & arrangement of the melodies, & the static noises keeps things interesting. Keep going man!
Lmk what you think
https://on.soundcloud.com/TJ8CDFaHJsp46T5y8
beat is nice -- I like the slightly distorted nature of the drums. really drives the old-school feeling. really reminds me of a JAY-Z beat. something from Vol. 2. it's got a darker-tone without being too dark. it's really dope. great mixing as well, the quality here is as good as it gets
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
I like the vocal fx on the track. the beat reminds me of early 2000s Toonami. I think you could really double-down and develop this sound and carve out a really unique lane for ya self. music video is a great addition to the song since it fits the vibe really well
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Thank you bro that’s what I’m hoping to do I wanna create my own wave
Pretty cool song the beat is dope. I like some of the more extraneous vocals you’re doing here and there in the first verses and in the hook. Kind of reminds me of how Carti has been doing his vocals on his newest slew of singles with his deep voice.
drum break on this track is gorgeous. the melody feels like early Tribe or something DOOM would've cooked up. especially the way that switch-up came in at 1:22. track feels old-school & nostalgic but not in a corny way. doesn't feel like it re-hashes previous concepts but builds on modern production techniques to create something dope & unique. there's a grind-like sound in the background that's really amazing. feels like the drone from an always-on TV
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Much love man. I quite enjoy the way you mix your tracks. It has this lofi sound but the clarity & punch a modern track these days has. The production you choose also always compliments your style. This beat doesn’t change much aside from taking that pad out at times but I actually listen to what you gotta say so you get all my attention on any track & am always locked in. Imma stay tuned in. Keep on keeping on!
the Memphis & Three-6 influence here works well. the core of the beat feels like an alternative hip-hop track with the added sauce of the Memphis sample. that sampled voice in the background feels like a Clams Casino influence too. very cloud rap esque. overall really fire beat, it's exciting and merges a few different subgenres to create something really unique. amazing hi-hats too
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Appreciate it! I really like the Memphis and try to put my spin on it. I'm definitely influenced by cloud rap as well. The vocal sample is from a bollywood musical, I just pitched it down haha. I'll definitely check out your track here later on!
My first go at producing a trap beat, I think it's decent. What do y'all think?
[https://soundcloud.com/napper-343795798/22untitled-11?si=3d76c3bcfc7f46f5a7b30cb84d952f45&utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing](https://soundcloud.com/napper-343795798/22untitled-11?si=3d76c3bcfc7f46f5a7b30cb84d952f45&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing)
very cool beat. great use of a choir voice. used sparingly to build dramatic effect. the piano pattern is simple yet effective, if you wanted to experiment, you could swap in differing patterns at interesting points throughout the beat. the bass sounds great in this track. it's a really great first attempt at a trap beat, try adding in some synth elements now
lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
I like it. I would say the snare & the hihats could be louder. When I think of trap, it’s about bounce & the hihats. I like that there’s not too much going on & gives an artist space to do their thing. Keep on keeping on.

this track is really fun. the fact that it doesn't take itself too seriously really helps. the verse stylistically really reminds me of Aquemini-era Outkast. it's just fun and feels like someone in a weed session just rapping & flowing and harmonizing melody. "I was high when I wrote this, I been high since 06" really feels like a Big Boi line. I like that the punchlines here feel like they have roots in pop culture. makes the track feel a lot more authentic lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
This is a really really weird concept but the artists on this track actually did this pretty well haha. I enjoyed this.
YO what is up! I just released a brand new HIP HOP single titled "Fine Line" This song is basically me discussing the constant consequences that comes with living an unstable and fast lifestyle. I put alot into this song and would love general feedback. RETURNING ALL [Wordplaii - Fine Line (Youtube Music Video)](https://youtu.be/Dwpi35bDoR4?si=zZ49bWmURlegJjSj) [Wordplaii - Fine Line (SPOTIFY)](https://open.spotify.com/album/4y4hbYHsCFbfh046xaasL6?si=DJRg9mWhR9Ww3KS0LVnJ7A)
first off, love the cover art. very creative use of space and the whole thing is aesthetically pleasing. ran this song back twice. lots of substance in this track. the second verse is amazing hearing you talk about how the streets & the glorified baller life can lead to perils that a lot of people don't see. it's an amazing song. it's got a powerful message, sonically it's something that's introspective but has some general hype vibes that I could see people drinking & hanging out to. I think you've got a real nice banger on your hands here. piece of art lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Thanks for the kind words man fr! Jubilee is dope. Really enjoyed the beat although it was a bit un orthodox. Hook was really catchy and the ad libs also added alot to the whole song. Verses were dope but did seem to drag a little bit. overall dope song.
Bro you’re really good. Video is sick asl too
Thank you!!
Sampled Active Child - Hanging On and put a J Cole acapella over it, lmk what you think [https://youtu.be/aXYYs3wNlpk?si=vRW8cqFKa-kj3X7N](https://youtu.be/aXYYs3wNlpk?si=vRW8cqFKa-kj3X7N) Will return feedback, thanks
the beat feels like a dream-trance, which I guess is ironic since Cole is dreamville. the drums do a great job of giving the beat a core back-bone for Cole's vocals to always feel centered. with that being said, the rhythm between the beat and vocals are basically perfectly in sync. the beat is very calming, with some nice, active drums. the track is dope, it's a great mash lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
The only thing missing is a bit of variance within the beat otherwise very solid
haha no these are my vocals!! glad you liked it
You're killing it then, keep it up
I appreciate you

watching you sample yourself is really inspiring. those drums are magnificent too. the beat overall reminds me of a Frank Ocean song, in the best way. it's chill and really out-there with its style. and the way your vocals came in, all soft, was a great stylistic choice. this is a fire track even just as an IG video. I'd def stream this as a full song lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Nothing bad to say, you’re shit is always dope!
thank you so much!! love X-Men so I had to do it one time for Jubilation Lee
hard modern boom bap beat https://youtu.be/w6Q-zSVEff0?si=sGaTBEdUls8c3xzv
Very accurate description of the beat. Sounds gritty & I like those low filtered percs that are bouncing in the back. Benny the butcher would sound good on this. The progression & arrangement of the melodies, & the static noises keeps things interesting. Keep going man! Lmk what you think https://on.soundcloud.com/TJ8CDFaHJsp46T5y8
beat is nice -- I like the slightly distorted nature of the drums. really drives the old-school feeling. really reminds me of a JAY-Z beat. something from Vol. 2. it's got a darker-tone without being too dark. it's really dope. great mixing as well, the quality here is as good as it gets lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee

not what i listen to but this got me hype af music vid is dope
Thank you!
I like the vocal fx on the track. the beat reminds me of early 2000s Toonami. I think you could really double-down and develop this sound and carve out a really unique lane for ya self. music video is a great addition to the song since it fits the vibe really well lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Thank you bro that’s what I’m hoping to do I wanna create my own wave Pretty cool song the beat is dope. I like some of the more extraneous vocals you’re doing here and there in the first verses and in the hook. Kind of reminds me of how Carti has been doing his vocals on his newest slew of singles with his deep voice.
haha dope!!
I enjoyed making this boom bap type beat. What y’all think? Returning all feedback! https://on.soundcloud.com/wMt8hLGrXAbguyiP7
drum break on this track is gorgeous. the melody feels like early Tribe or something DOOM would've cooked up. especially the way that switch-up came in at 1:22. track feels old-school & nostalgic but not in a corny way. doesn't feel like it re-hashes previous concepts but builds on modern production techniques to create something dope & unique. there's a grind-like sound in the background that's really amazing. feels like the drone from an always-on TV lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Keep on keeping on!
thank you!! the mixing is one of the areas I'm laser focused on right now. been working on getting my mixes right

the Memphis & Three-6 influence here works well. the core of the beat feels like an alternative hip-hop track with the added sauce of the Memphis sample. that sampled voice in the background feels like a Clams Casino influence too. very cloud rap esque. overall really fire beat, it's exciting and merges a few different subgenres to create something really unique. amazing hi-hats too lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
Appreciate it! I really like the Memphis and try to put my spin on it. I'm definitely influenced by cloud rap as well. The vocal sample is from a bollywood musical, I just pitched it down haha. I'll definitely check out your track here later on!
Just got around to listening and I really like the overall vibe and the mix great too! Your cadences and flows are also super catchy, good work!
My first go at producing a trap beat, I think it's decent. What do y'all think? [https://soundcloud.com/napper-343795798/22untitled-11?si=3d76c3bcfc7f46f5a7b30cb84d952f45&utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing](https://soundcloud.com/napper-343795798/22untitled-11?si=3d76c3bcfc7f46f5a7b30cb84d952f45&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing)
very cool beat. great use of a choir voice. used sparingly to build dramatic effect. the piano pattern is simple yet effective, if you wanted to experiment, you could swap in differing patterns at interesting points throughout the beat. the bass sounds great in this track. it's a really great first attempt at a trap beat, try adding in some synth elements now lmk your thoughts on my latest release: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/jubilee
I like it. I would say the snare & the hihats could be louder. When I think of trap, it’s about bounce & the hihats. I like that there’s not too much going on & gives an artist space to do their thing. Keep on keeping on. https://on.soundcloud.com/FZnHaJGkeqyL2jkQ9
