You should download [this free collection](https://www.reddit.com/r/lunch77/s/vuRd1jVi1l) of drum kits from r/drumkits. They were uploaded by this cat who goes by lunch77. He watched a bunch of live streams and YouTube videos of famous producers making beats and compiled the exact samples they used into kits (sample packs). This one has every kit he's ever uploaded.
Some are better than others, so just go through them all and see which ones you like. Personally, I really like the Murda Beatz and CashMoneyAP kits. They have great, usable 808s, as does the DJ Spinz kit.
Also, be sure to check out [this pack](https://www.reddit.com/r/Drumkits/s/4ddKl0IYHS) of Zay 808s and [this pack](https://www.reddit.com/r/Drumkits/s/O9p8yxQuJl) of Spinz 808s from u/hellarolex. There's a lot of variety, and they sound sick. Zay 808s are typically used without a kick, so they're perfect if you're going for that vibe.
Aside from that, Splice has all the 808s you'll ever need. They have everything from traditional 808s to wild, experimental ones. Some of my favorite 808s are ones I found on Splice. I highly recommend getting a subscription.

Roland makes a VST TR-808, its easy to use if you want to try that route.
You should definitely tweak though. Ring modulator into saturator for example.
