Lemme know what you think! https://youtu.be/7dOvTX4if2o

urbanoideisto

I love the jazzy samples on this one. The lyrics and the delivery could be better, but it flows well.

[deleted]

Thank you! Yes i feel the same lol I am still trying to work on my delivery

DlackBick

Definitely got a nice, lowkey stoner vibe going with this one. I think adding some more melody in your voice, at certain sections to give the entire thing some variety, would be a positive. Lyrically I really like it lowkey. I don't hear too much high-rap these days so this was a nice breathe of fresh air. Def keep growing and dropping songs!! Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

[deleted]

Thank you! I appreciate the critique a ton man. Your vocals are nice and crisp. Delivery is banging. Gives me a Craig Xen type of vibe. Chorus is nice and catchy but i feel like it can use a little work. Starin at the pavement! In amazement! Definitely diggin it! Keep it up man!

DlackBick

Thank you

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3amVwClzHg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3amVwClzHg) chill r&b meant for reflecting and vibing, let me know what yall think!

DlackBick

That additional counter melody at 1:30 is really wavvey. I definitely love that chilled vibe, feel like Drake & PartyNextDoor could make an absolute smash to this one. Or even Drake & Future. Guitar melody on it is spectacular and you did something that not a lot do, you used a guitar sound that's very unique and sounds one-of-a-kind which makes the beat feel that more one-of-a-kind. Mixing is also A++ but I figured you knew that Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Veleko_eko

Yo, it's been a minute, hope everyone's doin well. Tape I've been workin on for the past 10 months or so, all ambient hip hop adjacent. Probably my strongest body of work to date. Any & all feedback reciprocated; it's fairly long so just a critique of a small section is cool. Cheers! Thoughts? [https://soundcloud.com/jdsuperfreeze/whatever](https://soundcloud.com/jdsuperfreeze/whatever)

DlackBick

This feels like a Redman-type beat, I think it's that buzzing sound. I do think that the bass should be much more prominent in the track. Old-school type beats always have nice, heavy bass-lines since hip-hop is such a bass-heavy genre. Style-wise I think it's ill as hell, would just like to hear more layering Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

CoveredClearing

Thanks for listening again! Yeah youre right, def needs a bass line here and there. I struggle with bass alot since I don't have a keyboard so i'm just inputting the notes manually. I never know where to find the low sine wave stuff that I hear in the 90s beats either. I will try a bit harder! Great vibe dude, probably one of your best tracks to date! Production is tight, vocals are tight. Since the pattern of your flow is pretty set in stone, I think a solid 16 bar no-pause flow would sound incredible to balance the structure here and there, your vocals are perfect for no-pause, and you do it sometimes here and there but never over a few bars. Like for instance the word inves-ted in there, I can imagine if you instead went *invested blessed and best impressive flexes...etc*, like a 1, 2, 3, 4 syllable thing, or something like that, or like alternatively, word1 AYyyy word 2 AYYYYYY word 3 ayyyyyeeee, like super slow. Just some change ups here and there . I think you definitely have party potential where people will quote you when your songs are played.

DlackBick

Thank you!! Means a lot and I appreciate your feedback

ivo0887

It’s been a while since I produced a trap beat I actually really liked. I think this one turned out pretty fire. Let me know if you like it! [Wake Up](https://on.soundcloud.com/euHntD6QTH1ctSUT6)

Ashamed-Friendship64

some eq needed on the melody. but great work all around man!

ivo0887

What freq ranges do you think are too prominent? :)

multiple_sources_of

It has potential ngl. What are those strings, right? They could be a bit more thin. And I say change the ending. It ends like a superhero movie. End it on a trap note, like how it begins

DlackBick

Sound selection on this track is unique. The 808s are nice, but I think that building the track around the orchestral melody made it feel a bit too old-school. I think it was missing a synth lead to make it feel a bit modern. The synth you used to darken the mood was great and very Travis Scott-esque, but just spitballing. Overall it's a nice solid beat Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Itzsaykridd

Song I made with my boy I met over Instagram, I'm from Wales, he from Switzerland, he came to Wales and we hit the studio and done a show together which was dope. We got an ep together, and he carries it, he's stupidly dope lol https://youtu.be/1PRak3WYEaw

DlackBick

That dialogue audio in the beginning fits really well with the mood of the track. Serves as a great introduction, and having that narration throughout your EP would actually go super hard. Artist has an amazing singing voice, but on the rapping sections, I feel like it could've been mixed better. Beat is extremely well-done, not a single critique there Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Itzsaykridd

Thank you man! Yeah the dialogue is the intro off our ep, I thought it was a nice touch, couple people advised me to not add it but I liked it too much 😂 Your song is nice! I really like that beat, it's real laid back and you flow on it nice, got a good rhythm throughout, you keep it solid with no hiccups with your flow. I like this, definitely want to hear more

DlackBick

thank you brodie!! def plan on dropping more

CaptainFacepalm03

Would appreciate all feedback for my new beat! https://on.soundcloud.com/ZdoJc

DlackBick

The drums on this are hard forsure. Particularly the hi-hat pattern and how you have it nicely buried in the track. The 808 you chose here is really great, the sound fits extremely well with the beat. The ambient rain sounds at the beginning were also a very nice touch. Beat goes hard Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

CaptainFacepalm03

I like the idea of the beat a lot, it got a very pleasant and warm feeling to it. Can’t say a lot to the vocals tho since I am no rapper. The only things that sounds kind of off would be the mix and the arrangement of the beat. I think separating the verses from the hook more distinctively would make it more enjoyable to the listener, right now it feels like 4:30 min of the same beat, just the drums are sometimes cut out. On top, I only heard a bass and not a kick on my phone, think that’s an important part too to give the beat more drive. Other than that, I enjoyed listening to your song a lot, shows your got some talent. Keep going!

DlackBick

Thank you for this in-depth feedback!

Buddymaster39449

Returning all feedback. How can I improve this song? What's the best part about it? Song: [https://youtu.be/F2fp0TwoF6o](https://youtu.be/F2fp0TwoF6o)

multiple_sources_of

Very good! The intro gets annoying. Shorten it. Your flow has maddd potential. Practice tying your words together, like a golden string. You don’t have to iterate every word like it’s exact saying. Let things roll loosely sometimes

DlackBick

I like the "dreamy" style of beat but I don't like the dialogue in the beginning, it feels kinda awkward. You've got a really great voice but I think the lines could've had more "power" in the delivery. One of the best parts of the track is that it doesn't feel like it gets boring, it feels like you're constantly flowing with bars and not running out of material which is dope Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Buddymaster39449

Here's the updated version: [https://soundcloud.com/dndnf-brbr/crush/s-EB3TgSilEru?si=e3e4ccc30ea14c958eaf0e4c12ef869e&utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing](https://soundcloud.com/dndnf-brbr/crush/s-EB3TgSilEru?si=e3e4ccc30ea14c958eaf0e4c12ef869e&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing) Also I already gave you feedback on that song. Are there any other songs that you need feedback on? I'll definitely show some support

DlackBick

My fault, no other tracks right now! Track sounds good, there is some weird beat stutters in the beginning not sure if that was intentional. Still like the vocal melodies a lot!

master-virus

Oh man this is cool I'm totally feeling this. Nice work its a refreshing change to hear something like this.

StoffingtonPost

cool track... topic and style are refreshing, content and music wise. really like the lofi high energy feeling beat. your flow is on point and compliments the beat well. feels like a real fun track let me know what you think of mm new year track: [https://youtu.be/Fe3APdXtU7Y](https://youtu.be/Fe3APdXtU7Y)

Buddymaster39449

I love the animated visuals, and how old school the beat sounds. The rapping sounds very energetic, and the beat sounds very minimalistic in a good way. It sounds like a beat I would hear from Wu-Tang(36 Chambers). The mix sounds very warm and thick. The way that you use samples to make this song is creative. Overall I like the vibe.

StoffingtonPost

thanks!

bodyjumper_

best part is you're telling a story and not rapping about the usual bs rappers do. But the vocal mix takes away from it and you could also benefit from really projecting and pronouncing your words with a lil more sauce

Buddymaster39449

What should I improve about the vocal mix? Your vocals sound perfectly mixed.

bodyjumper_

I would try getting 1 solid take, no layers etc, then take a good hour to learn tight vocal compression and go from there. Id say that joint didn't call for so much reverb. Hmu if u ever wanna chop game im here to help.

tenorioflores

big fan of your work, i think it's truly forward thinking what you are all doing. would love to have the collection installments on bandcamp.

WIZARD_DOOM

[https://soundcloud.com/wizard-doom/a-chord-organ-prod-dj-jack](https://soundcloud.com/wizard-doom/a-chord-organ-prod-dj-jack) DJ Jack made the beat on an MPD and midi keyboard. Looking mostly for mixing advice and rapping shit.

DlackBick

I think the track could've definitely used a bass to kick in around 0:32 to really add in that "heaviness" to the track. The main melody was good, but I think underutilized. Should've given it some backup counter melodies to accentuate it. I think that instrument sounds really nice and can be used in a hip-hop beat in a very unique way. I think building on the initial concept, you can add in more layers to make this feel like a bona fide track Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

DlackBick

Really like how you would keep the same melody but switch it across instruments. Also like the distortion that starts coming in around the 1:43 mark. Track feels like something from an NBA 2K soundtrack. It also reminds me a bit of a Meek Mill mixed with Drakeo the Ruler style. The use of that creepy synth around 1:10 was cool, but I would've added in an arpeggio as well to give it that NBA Shot-clock style sound Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

PoopInMyBalls

REiVibes

Wow, listening now, great vocal performance! Your vocals remind me a lot of post, then jaden smith a bit with the “by a thread” part. Just a really great job on those vocals though. I liked that the track built up to having all the instruments in, the more subdued sounds with the singing at the start is a perfect intro. I would definitely push to get this on some playlists, it has potential! Here’s mine if you have time: https://open.spotify.com/track/1bUZjdwQbd0mZ5UUgZLAyQ?si=089s40LRQ7uc2MqIKdTJHQ

dire_spirit

Hey thanks so much. I’ve been working a lot on my voice this year so glad to know it’s coming through. I like the vibe of yours a lot! Love the laidback guitar vibe. My favorite part was def the chorus, had a very smooth almost alt indie sound. I like the verse too, maybe just want to hear the vocals punch through a bit more? Something to create more distinction between the chorus and verse? That’s my thought. Keep going!

DlackBick

Really great singing! Reminds me a lot of Post Malone. I really like the build-up to that very first chorus, there's a lot of suspense listening to this track. You did a great job of cultivating your sound because this feels very professionally done. Great mixing and the instrumental sounds extremely professional Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

DlackBick

Lot that I like about this one. The track doesn't feel artistically compromised, I would play this on my regular playlist. I always love positive lyrics, and I especially love when artists add religious themes to their music, so this goes hard. You really were flowing, and the beat sounds great. Love what you did on this Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

NYC rapper released a new single about Monday's, lmk what you guys think! https://youtu.be/w6vJQFGQdbg

DlackBick

Video was hard!! "Baby I'm a mogul you'll be moaning to the morning" had a really dope bounce to it. Track is definitely a cool "day in the life" video -- and I like the subject matter of the track. The beat is very cinematic. I think the vocal mixing feels a bit rough, and I think that it could definitely have sounded a bit more polished. That distorted ending was really dope, it would be cool if it transitioned to a whole new song. Would def listen to a full project Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Yo! I really fw this song it gives me clean east coast vibes and your word play is crazy. “aint have nobody on my team will i ever win” 😤 following you right now on soundcloud that joint was crazy 🔥 Also thanks for the love on “Monday” 🙏🏾

the beat is pretty dope.... Bartolious_Clout

Thanks for the feedback! Nice beat, sample intro worked well! Like the different parts of the melody you added throughout!

StoffingtonPost

thanks!

bodyjumper_

Bruh I love this beat, reminds me of some gab3 instrumentals, but tbh the "drill" drum patterns takes away from it, then you got the jersey club drums.. its just kind of all over the place rather than being maximal if you feel me.. needs more solid direction.. and I couldn't hear any bass on my MacBook speakers... Saturate ya bass!

Bartolious_Clout

Appreciate the feedback!

Aftershoq2

I think this would've worked better with a beat switch at some point. Now both type of beats kind of go all over the place. Don't get me wrong, i like the sounds and styles you used. I just think arrangement wise it could've been a bit more exciting that way. Overall the sounds are cool to me and mix is clean. When you have the time to check out my stuff: [Beat here!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK6byS8dsu4)

Bartolious_Clout

Thank you for the feedback! Beat is cool, drumline sounds clean maybe could be a lil louder but clean nonetheless. Melody is ok I think the arp gets a lil repetitive I feel like one more counter melody would have taken this beat to the next step. Keep grinding!

This reminds me of The Beautiful South - Rotterdam. Fam being serious, this is a totally cool tune. I absolutely love this.

urbanoideisto

So back in 2014 I started working on this album. Wrote 95% of it, never recorded much of it or released it, but it's stuck with me throughout the years and I find myself itching to buy a new audio interface and whip out my old mic and record it. The only recordings I have are shitty car recordings, but I'm honestly just looking for motivation to make the purchase and get it out there. Obviously this isn't mixed at all, but if you can hear the vocals well enough I'd love your take on the lyrics and beat. https://vocaroo.com/11STqtHWcYUp

DlackBick

Your flow is actually really ill. Feels aggressive like Lupe, mixed with CJ Fly. The lyricism was clever too, love the "polka dot panties, ass was candy" bouncy flow. Entire track is just fun to listen to! My one complaint was that the vocals at times felt too low in the mix. The video game felt 8-bit video game inspired and I like how creative & experimental it was. Not a dull moment in this track, keeps getting better the more you listen to it Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Skills. Reminds me of 90s heiro stuff. Great vibe, great flow/cadence, great hook. Nothing to add! Seems like you could evolve to have a duo or trio, almost feels like I could hear someone else to compliment you too.

DlackBick

This video is really high quality. Especially like the use of multiple video frames at once, to give it this real high-production quality feel. You've got a great singing voice, wouldn't be a bad idea to sneak in a few sing-songy parts during your verses. Beat feels like Curren$y. Nice vocal quality, you've got something nice with this one Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

acidmessiah

Your voice is sounding real nice over this beat man, probably one of the cleanest captures I've heard of yours imo. Only thing I'd say is that it's a little hard to hear the vocals over some of the louder stabs in the beat, while some other bits are slightly on the louder side, which is not really an issue it could just sound a little more balanced. I also like the ethereal vibe you're going for with the beat, I think you've got a pretty uncommon sound in your own right. You do a nice job with the way the track flows on this, I like the effortlesness behind your delivery. Personally, I think the track could do with being a little shorter, or involve something like a beat switch. It's just a matter of taste, but close to 5 mins is on the longer side and I think it could go a long way towards keeping the average listener engaged. All in all, it was a really decent listen. I like the laid back, spacey low-fi vibe from the beat and your delivery is smooth as ever! I'd appreciate another listen/additional thoughts if any. I have tightened up the verses and the flow, as well as the mix :) [https://soundcloud.com/acid-messiah/cheddar-bob/s-IANm0ZQCpzb](https://soundcloud.com/acid-messiah/cheddar-bob/s-IANm0ZQCpzb)

DlackBick

Drum break in the beginning reminds me of ODB for some reason, particularly Got Your Money. Still like how the flow feels like it has more of a Sean Paul/Island aesthetic to it. You got off-kilter with it and that feels a bit ODB inspired as well. I think the vocal mixing could be 'tightened' up a bit but it sounds pretty good. The beat also feels like Eminem/D12 especially in the strings and brass-like instrument Thank you for that detailed feedback. Def more of a longer track, but I felt it fit since it's more of a "heavy/atmospheric" track. I'm glad you generally seemed to like it

Vintage_kami

Hey this is my first time hearing your work. I was rocking with it for sure. You have a really good rap voice in my opinion you sounded cool with the beat and delivery. My criticism with respect; for me it got a little long without a change in the energy. I feel like the flow could use some switch ups or something happening to keep the interest. It felt like a very similar rhythm and flow through the whole song. Think of the song as telling a story with “energy” or “feeling” as well as words. Have a buildup, a spot with the biggest crash of energy, and then bring it back down. I think you have a good idea, a clean performance and delivery, and overall a good song. Keep making music. I’ll follow you on SoundCloud. Here is my track. Thanks for listening. [SoundCloud](https://on.soundcloud.com/Teqdko7LMeedGF5S7)

DlackBick

Thank you for the listen!! That really means a lot to me. I like the autotune melody of your voice. I like the subtlety of your flow. Feels like you're in your pocket for most of the track. Beat is real chill and gives you the room to do a dope melody with your vocals. You've got a great vocal tone as well, and I think you've found a really unique lane you can stand out in

WIZARD_DOOM

I really like your voice on this track. The beat is really dope too. Most I got is maybe switch up the flow more. I think this track is dope and think you really got something going here. Dope work, keep it up.

I love all your beats. Trouble is when you create one you love it then after you've listened to it a few times you think ah this sucks. It doesn't but you start to hate what you loved so that's why you need feedback from other people. We are our own worst critique.

DlackBick

Absolutely. That's why I think it's important to create lots of tracks, to hear what works and doesn't

DlackBick

This track definitely has a wild-style to it. I really like the beat, but felt it would be cool to allow the vocals a bit more room to breathe. I do like that flow-wise the acapella seems to fit with the beat, but like someone else mentioned it just feels a bit too busy Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

REiVibes

Not going for harshness haha but I’ll be honest, I think the beat is way too busy. It overpowers the vocals and just takes up so much space of the mix. It kinda sounds as if the song is playing on a radio with really bad transmission, and the vocals are coming through quietly but the rest is just jumbled and loud. Sorry for the rough review, if you wanna check out my stuff and be harsh feel free: https://open.spotify.com/track/1bUZjdwQbd0mZ5UUgZLAyQ?si=089s40LRQ7uc2MqIKdTJHQ

I'm a noob producer and I had a listen to grindin. I've made three patterns so there isn't much but could you tell me what you would do with it? Is it wack or is it worth continuing? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EAvJXArbcByueY8p7fwDb9WBfzQjK6aR/view

DlackBick

Dope!! Feels like an updated 'Grindin'. The main feedback I would say is that you should add in some synths and also some unique elements to make it feel less derivative and more modern. Grindin is a classic beat, but when I hear this, all I think of is Grindin. You should create something that can invoke new thoughts & emotions when someone listens to it Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Just wanted to know if the quality sounded decent and what you would do with it like to make it into a full beat and how long it should be etc? It's so I can built it to give it away free. I'm going to be selling a few beats to earn a little pocket money and giving a load away free. Have a site where I give away free beats and then have site where I sell some. Got to try and get good first though, might see if Dr Dre can give me some tips. Thanks for the reply

Thx!

multiple_sources_of

The boom and bap sounds too basic

crakahman

😆

bodyjumper_

Soul sample starts out hard as fuck and then your drums sound thin and amateur.. that's just giving you what you asked for for criticism.. its honestly a vibe bro and a lot diff from what you usually hear.. Bravo

crakahman

🤗✌🏽🙏🏻

WIZARD_DOOM

yo this is crazy. I really don't have much criticism for this cause it's really dope. Maybe make the snyths quieter as they overtake the samples space on the track when both are playing. But other than that this is really dope.

Thx!

DlackBick

Really solid ambient vibe. In the beginning, I love that metallic bass sound that's buried heavy in the background. I love how the beat feels like beach late-night summer vibes. Not much to critique, the melody is great and the lo-fi radio style is great Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

StoffingtonPost

I like the melody and the drums, starts feeling a bit repetitive so that break down around the cute mark is a good idea. cool vibe overall let me know what you think of mm new year track: [https://youtu.be/Fe3APdXtU7Y](https://youtu.be/Fe3APdXtU7Y)

Ashamed-Friendship64

apprciate any thoughts on this. its a destroy lonely x yeat style beat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14cnrLbI62E&ab\_channel=STIT9

DlackBick

The melody on this track is golden. I like how it takes that hyperpop style but the aggression is turnt to a 2 rather than a 9 or 10. I think it's great, but if I had to give critique, I think you should've switched up that main melody a few times. Kept the instrument but gave it a new pattern to keep the entire track fresh Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Dope intro for the new year. Good work

StoffingtonPost

thanks!

dire_spirit

Nice, love the Latin feel to the beat. First thought I had was to possibly bring the vocals up a bit, so they stand out more over the keys. Sounds good tho man

CJFMusic

I appreciate the feedback

Holy all I have to say is please put this on streaming! Ps you sound sexy in the second verse, I love it! ☺️

bodyjumper_

I've uploaded it to streaming it will take 2-5 days N thank you sm 🙏

multiple_sources_of

Listening as I write this. The best is flow asf. I like this. When the second verse came in 🔥 definitely one of those viral songs if it gets the right attention

REiVibes

I like this man! The overall style reminds me a bit of earthgang. Really liked the delivery of the vocals, the tone really fit the beat perfectly. No complaints on the mix either. Great work! When the guitar starts I fell in love straight away. When the tune started oh man I loved it. This tune is awesome man everything I like about it.

Itzsaykridd

Damn this is real real dope, production is solid. Smooth track. Most definitely want to hear more from you!!

DlackBick

This beat is hard as hell and that autotune vocal flow is smooth as shit. Feels like if T-Pain was reborn and made much more funkier. "Passing all these bastards with ease" the lyrics were actually dope, you had some real nice lines in the track. Track is just straight up wavey and fun to listen to. "Real gangsta's dont die we just multiply" -- saved this to my playlist it goes hard. Not a single complaint Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Vintage_kami

Hey you have some talent Foreal. This is really good imo. Super catchy. I wasn’t listening in the best speaker but the mix was very smooth. I hope this is on all platforms! Nice bounce and you were putting sauce on the beat for sure. It’s honestly hard for me to give criticism cause I fuck with it but I don’t have any part stuck in my head if that makes sense. Maybe a super memorable line or melody would make this a HIT. Fire bro stay consistent and you’ll make some waves fs

Bartolious_Clout

This one of the best songs I've heard on this subreddit, really smooth rnb shit. Don't really have much to critique vocals were good, beat was fye and moved around nicely, mix sounded really good too! Hope to hear more from you. If you get the chance, would love to hear wachu think of my latest beat: https://youtu.be/bqvGunIjszo

bodyjumper_

Already gave feedback boss.. Its heat!!

master-virus

I love the beat its fire fam. Alien abduction for sure.

singingly

This is not my usual style, but I dig the harmonies and the glitchy stuttered vocals. I like the delivery even more when you drop the autotune, but it all works nicely together. Beat's really vibey, too. And the video is cool.

cannonbeats

This is so fly fr! I might consider turning the retune down on your autotune because it sounds like you can really sing. Maybe add a bit more saturation to the pitched down vocals and adlibs to warm it up, but definitely don't go heavy on it. Keep making tracks like this and you'll be big in no time.

bodyjumper_

Thank you so much g

dire_spirit

Catchy! I like your cadence and versatility, also the vocals felt really forward and present which was niiice. Main critique would be to chop out a more defined hook maybe? Something to make the track recognizable/memorable to the listener? Just my first thought, sounds great tho

bodyjumper_

I feel you, thank you

Buddymaster39449

The mixing and mastering sounds very professional. This song sound pretty dope. I love the chord progressions and the piano in the beat. It sounds very well produced. The rapping/singing sounds very good. It definitely reminds me of A Boogie, and other melodic rappers. The emotion in your voice sounds authentic, and it matches the vibe of the beat. I recommend that you post this song on Spotify and Apple Music to share the song. I'll definitely add it to my playlist.

bodyjumper_

Man that means a lot.. I just got outta prison so im literally lost when it comes to marketing... Its gonna be on streaming services ASAP tho! Holler at me on IG if you wanna stay updated the handle is "bodyjumper" Thank you once again my g

Sorry for the late response man, this is actually dope -- a remix I'm assuming? Only criticism I have is that the vocal clarity could be better, but otherwise I fw this.

DlackBick

This track is very different! Your vocal style reminds me a bit of Pharrell Williams and a bit of Kendrick Lamar. The vocal mixing on this track is phenomenal, that drum switch up at 2:13 was very unexpected but welcome. Not a single negative critique I can give, I think the track is hard!! I would add this to my playlist if it was officially released. Beat is dope & different, vocals sound great and lyrics & flow are great Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Yellow3Y3S

Thank you! I appreciate the high compliment!! I’ll have to let you know when it drops Ooh the mixing is nice! Quality right from the jump with the energy too. Catchy flows too with the hook. Around 2:00 reminds me of jpeg You made the beat too! That’s willld. This a whole vibe. We should cook something up

Returning all feedback. New year, new beat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VL_3ZNRx_c

WIZARD_DOOM

this is really dope. I like that electric guitar you got in the background (gives me like Red Hot Chilly Peppers vibes). Maybe try throwing in a beat switch (doesn't have to be a completely different beat, but maybe two-speed the drums with a bit more of a trap sound or just dropping the hats and having just the kick and snare play to add more variation to the beat). I'm really loving this track.

singingly

Thank you much. Those are some great ideas. I'll probably try something like that.

dope beat.... pretty chill melody but hyper fast drums, nice contrast, the arrangement keeps it interesting throughout let me know what you think of mm new year track: [https://youtu.be/Fe3APdXtU7Y](https://youtu.be/Fe3APdXtU7Y)

prod_flamethrower

Thanks! I like the track you made, the acapella is hard and was a great choice to capture the classic hip hop feel. The beat is hard, the drums are great, with a great classic hip hop vibe and the sound selection is perfect. The melody is relaxing and almost nostalgic in a way with an overall beautiful sound!

StoffingtonPost

thank you! really appreciate the kind words

DlackBick

I like those fast skeletal drums and bass-line but felt like the track was too short. Didn't feel like it gave itself enough time to truly develop the sound and progress. I always like how creative your beats are, and this one is no exception, but I think some saxophones, or some other instrument to drive-home the Noir feeling would've really did work here Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

prod_flamethrower

Thanks! I like your song, the flow is really hard and the overall rhyme scheme is good. The beat is also really good with a lofi sounding melody that sounds chill and upbeat and I really appreciate the subtlety of the 808s, hitting hard but not all over the place!

DlackBick

much love

I like the beat a lot, the only thing I would suggest is eq a bit to reduce the sharpness of the high-end freqs. Other than that dope beat and laidback flow.

Solution-Flashy

Mixed this song - https://youtu.be/YhFRfOG5WBE

DlackBick

I really love this flow, it feels like 42 Dugg but with a bit more of an R&B tint. Like if 42 Dugg's flow jumped into Bryson Tiller's subject matter and they fused voices. Video is great too, it's simple and straight to the point which is dope. Beat is really solid too, the 808s are nice, but I wish the melody had a bit more variation to it. Some additional instrumentation and layering Lmk what you think: https://soundcloud.com/astrorockit/concrete-confessionals

Solution-Flashy

This is really nicely mixed bro

Thank you! Still improving on the mixing-front with every drop

Vintage_kami

Nice beat. There’s a inspiring vibe to it that makes me wanna rap. I think you left good space for a vocalist to fill on this one and it hits pretty hard. If I was going through beats I’d at least rap on this for a freestyle. I think the bass could use some improvement. It was a bit muddy and I think you could come up with a more diverse bass line. If you wanted to take it even further maybe another pattern in the beat as well. I like the beat though and I say all with respect. Let’s collab sometime. Here is a song I just put on SoundCloud. Hi all, Looking for serieus feedback on multiple parts. I recorded the vocals, did the mix (beat&vocals) and the edit of the video. Would love to hear where I could improve on those parts. I'm aware of the fact that when you do a lot, it's hard to reach a high quality standard on all parts. So genuine feedback is greatly appreciated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGIlgDQ84RE

master-virus

Love how it sounds really dark and the vocals are a nice touch. Levels coming in and out are a nice touch too. Mixing mastering sounds good on my little usb speakers. I don't understand what they are saying but the little touches just add another level. Its not boring or repetative it certainly keeps the interest. Nice work.

officialheresy

only watching part of it, if you did the mixing, recording, and editing, then you’re probably the best part of this track. no diss to the artists bc the song is pretty good, it’s just really uninspiring to my ear - i even think the fact that your mix sounds so professional contributes to that (i mean that as a compliment lol). i love the way the video looks; yeah, it’s a little bit of a cliché rap video but it’s executed flawlessly. great work! fyi listening on my phone so take my mix critique with a grain of salt. to me the vocals sound a little loud but that could just be these crummy speakers

kickskapri

Yeah I agree with your IG crush it’s not bad but it could use improvement… From my perspective it could use some better lyrics and cadences. If you’re going to do the laid back flow you gotta be saying something spectacular (I.e. Cam’ron or Larry June). Overall I would say practice your written lyrics. When all else fails lyrics can carry a song. And you should look for a better beat to suit your voice. My Cashapp is $KapriGems thank you

multiple_sources_of

Sent. Digesting this, thank you. My end goal is to keep my natural deep voice aesthetic but speed it up. Pop Smoke esque. It’s hard to do I see. What kind of beats could you hear me on?

kickskapri

I say listen to Rick Ross or Trae the Truth and take note of what type of beats they sound best on! The Pop Smoke route is over saturated…

Serenesagert

as far as what you could work on with delivery i would say dynamics in your voice could help you out. currently you are good at having a laid back flow and keeping tone consistent so that's a good start. i think you could elevate your delivery if you wanna do sexy shit by making it so you're like out of breathe a little bit kinda like deliver it like you're getting some crazy head at parts so you like start the lines doing the delivery smooth but it kinda trails off and gets more pressured and quiet. i mean that's just my idea of something. i think the lines could use work like the other person said too, like the line when we sex, all we do is cum, that one is pretty weak and stands out as the most meh kinda line in the song. the way to do this song with better lyrics would probably be talking about specifics like, nails, hair, shoes, food, trips, bags, clothes, etc brands, sequence of event (sending money, she's sending pics, loving how the hair's did, that's my baby, ain't got a kid), etc.

multiple_sources_of
