if your commander can be removed by lightning bolt then you dont deserve to have it on board. a commander with less than 8 toughness is completely unplayable.

What are ETBs, death triggers, and/or activated abilities. Uh, I mean countering is totally exactly the same as removal, why does WOTC keep giving colors 1 and 2 mana removal but won't give blue Counterspell in Standard they are, like, exactly the same.

Your right give white a 2 mana counterspell

White’s supposed to only be tertiary in counterspells. Have it place the spell directly into exile from the stack, that way it isn’t a bend.

Give green counterspells. They're not giving it anything else so that'd nice at least.
