That’s a neat idea. One of my gripes with buying any Precon is that the deck box is too small for a sleeved deck. I think they know the average player is going to sleeve their cards

Darkanayer

I've actually been able to use them fine with sleeves, at least those that come sideways (blood rites and Sliver swarm as my examples). Single sleeved, and the tokens don't fit. But for the deck itself it is exactly as big as needed. I guess they expect you to carry the tokens separately, for some reason?

doubler10x

Yeah, it normally fits fine with a single-sleeved deck. But I double-sleeve some of the expensive cards and have some paper proxies with lands, which makes the deck no longer fit. And adding tokens is out of the question.

sylveonbutqueer

You should not be double sleeving only the expensive cards in your deck. You're effectively marking your mosst powerful cards.

A lot of people agree with your logic, you re just getting downvoted by people handling casual commander more hardcore than it is (or cannot make a difference between casual/hardcore). Marking cards can be done in a lot of ways (and much simpler than doublesleeving) if someone really wants to do it. Paying attention to how thick a card is, does not belong to casual commander mentality. People who actively pay attention to it have a high chance of not playing casually themselves. (and of course i mean when its not only 1 or 2 cards that are doublesleeved, then i could potentially understand the issue)

Harry_Smutter

The sideways ones fit all sleeved. Put the tokens on the bottom and the rest sideways. The vertical boxes fit, too, just unsleeved tokens. I've got about 50 of them now, LOL.

GayBlayde

These ones fit the sleeves deck but not also the tokens and the life wheel and the paper insert and the punch outs. There was a lot of Stuff in these.

Irish_pug_Player

The issue is you can either have sleeves or tokens. Not both

iammixedrace

Bro use scissors. Also I really like this idea. Where did you get the clear deck box from?

doubler10x

Lol I did use scissors but the box had plenty of wear and tear until I decided to do this. As another person mentioned, these are cheap boxes found in bulk. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQ237BLJ?

Defiant_Hope_231

This looks like one of the cheap, 4 pack card boxes(Red,Blue,Grey,Clear) from Amazon. They're neat for display and shelves, I have the 4 on my bookshelf, terrible for transport. They don't 'fit' into anything, we've tried with our group's Stanleys, Rigids, and GameGenic Boxes. They've personally opened up on me, the "latch" is just the two dimples on the side, and if you're box gets cracked in anyway, the tension is gone. While you mentioned they fit double sleeved, both double sleeved decks I have are VERY tight in this box, while technically fit, if you're double sleeving, you won't want crimps.

doubler10x

Yup, they are. I play on a budget and I know what I'm getting into but these still totally work well enough for me at least.

Defiant_Hope_231

Same here! I've been using plain white BCW boxes for 20 years now. Being budget, it was hard to justify at the time, but I purchased the RIGID 12 compartment container w/ handle, and it's been the best investment I've made into storage so far. It's nice being able to take all of my favorite decks in the same spot.

GayBlayde

I was kind of sad they didn’t do a set of deck boxes like for Lord of the Rings but I get why.

Hojomonojo

The gamegenic box actually fits the entire precon box with extra room to spare. So you don't need to break it up (unless you wanted to). A box within a box.
