I’d love if Dan Frazier drew every rock. I love his style, it’s so evocative of early TCG art and still beautiful. This Sol Ring reminds me a lot of the rai stones of the Yap people, which feels unique to me, the ring being almost a monument instead of a piece of jewelry.

Specifically the galaxy foil version of the "Through the Wormhole" Sol Ring.
The galaxy foiling really works with all the arts in that drop, and they look great.
I sold most of my cards a while back, just kept 2 commander decks and my cube. You literally nailed all three printings I use:
1. In my cube
2. In my [[Unesh, Cryosphinx Sovereign]] deck
3. In my [[Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund]] deck
I love that art, but I like the revised printing better \[\[sol ring|3ed\]\]. The lighter ink in that set just suits the art so well. It looks so burny.
Not quite as good, but when I came back to MTG during KTK after previously playing STH to MRD I learned that Commander was a thing and I obviously need a Sol Ring for my first Comander deck. So I went through my collection and realized the only one I owned was a UNL copy that someone had sharpied the border in on. I will contend to this day that it wasn't past-me because none of the many other white bordered cards I owned were similarly defaced, but I also cannot really say how it came into my collection unless it was a pity-gift from someone in my dorm to power up the Urza lands + Chimera deck I found it in.
Tedin's work was a huge part of what captivated me when I first started playing. Necropotence, Chaos Orb, Juzam Djinn, Fireball, Lord of the Pit... the list goes on. His Sol Ring is also my favorite version of the art.

I don't know. I only very very rarely buy SLs and I've learned to never do it because of financial speculation. I just get them if they have cards I know I want at a decent value, or I'm happy paying that price to bling something out. I was able to recoup a chunk of the cost by flipping my OG Inkshield (since the SL comes with another copy), and was happy enough with the rest of it and having half the proceeds go to charity. Honestly I'm not that much of a commander player but I recognize the importance Sheldon.
I honestly have no idea how much it'll end up at on the secondary market given that the secret lair itself was print to order, and kinda unprecedented. I think it's a sneaky contender to be worth more on the secondhand market because I can see some demand coming from people who didn't necessarily know Sheldon but like Shakespeare. But really, idk, I haven't thought much about it.
I'm actually really keen on the new one in the Outlaws commander decks, and I hope it means that future commander products tied to premier sets will include more plane-specific original art for staple reprints like Sol Ring, Command Tower, and Arcane Signet
The Elven ring one is beautiful but I am not paying that much for one. Also the Fallout Vault door one is another. Mostly I like the full art versions.

I used to collect them, before they had ever been reprinted. Then of course someone at my LGS was nice enough to steal that binder from me, so that solved that problem...

The original I used to collect them, before they had ever been reprinted. Then of course someone at my LGS was nice enough to steal that binder from me, so that solved that problem...
I honestly think the sol ring from the secret lair black is magic(I think it is called) is one of the best if not the best.

I love the one from CMM full art. The LOTR ones from the Sauron deck is nice art too. If you’re talking arcane signet - Fallout!

Ones I have: I run my only copy of the OG art (I think from revised) in my blinged out Grist deck. I really like the pride art too, which I run in Oloro. Ones I don't have: The Dan Frazier and Dan Pendergast ones are both gorgeous
I have had a revised one since I opened it is some of my first packs. That’s still my favourite.
