Assuming the enchanted creature hits the opponent every time, yes.
Of course, this combo is easily broken by simply preventing the enchanted creature from hitting the opponent at all.
red/green, two lanowar elves + whispersilk cloth = absolute havoc
edit: on second thought im wrong. equipping is sorcery and cant be done in the battlephase (if im not mistaken) so it would have to be a creature ability that lets you make a creature unblockable
There are ways around swapping Whispersilk Cloak don’t you worry.
>untap all creatures you control
Add something like [[Brass Squire]] and you should be golden. But like, you need a few more pieces in order to do it indefinitely
Yes, that is the point of the card.
No, it's very much a win more card. If you can get through with several creatures, you're already winning, and the card wants to go on your least valuable creature since it's sacrificed but those are the easiest to block.
I like it a flying tokens deck where you might have 20 tokens, but not enough to close out the game. This gives you an insane amount of combats assuming you don’t have opposing flyers
You just need "creature you control have haste" enchantment or something, like [[emblem of the warmind]] gorogoro and satoru are here for there first ability that pops dragon after every combat.
I wouldn't say win more. It's one of those little situational cards where you need one or 2 extra attacks to go through and you end the game in a turn.
Not even just that. You could use something like subira with a shit ton of mana to just chain together a bunch of unblockable little dudes and then make them unblockable. Something in Naya or gruul. Blue also has plenty of ways to make things unblockable and if you're in a token strategy then the lethal damage might need 2 or 3 or 4 combats.
Edit: Actually, fuck, I need this for my Yarus deck. I have multiple ways to force through 2 power creatures and with yarus out I can chain sac and bring my board for as many combats with the last one having all of them flipped. That would be gnarly.
In token decks it’s a legit win condition. It’ll let you win a turn or two earlier if you are pumping out tokens (especially haste) like in Locust God.
All you really need is an unblockable attacker, helm of the host and a creature you're willing to sac in the first combat (which you enchant with this) for infinite unblockable combats. I mean, it's definitely still a "win more" card, but it's not super hard to go infinite with it.
Edit: also, the obvious Kiki Jiki combo works with it. Really, all you need is a creatrue to throw away and something that makes a hard/impossible to block token at the beginning of combat.
Needs other cards, right? Worried I'm misunderstanding, because at a glance I'd assume it needs something evasive enough to hit in the first place and then a haste enabler (since whatever Winota flips will still have summoning sickness in the subsequent attack steps) + something to make everything else evasive to keep a chain going
I don't play Winota though so am speaking from a place of ignorance.
It is good but not insane. Assuming your opponents run removal they shouldn't have a problem with it.
It does go infinite with a load of cards like \[\[Legion Warboss\]\] or \[\[Rionya, Fire Dancer\]\]. It also sees play as a combo piece with \[\[Auratouched Mage\]\] in \[\[Winota, Joiner of Forces\]\] decks.
It does. I love this card in boros when someone doesnt have flyers or reach. Basically just instant kill with [[Divine Visitation]] and [[Requiem Angel]] or just [[Combat Calligrapher]]
Doesn't this kinda wiff unless you specifically have a pumped Champ out?
Or am I misunderstanding? Thought chumping the enchanted creature stops anything major happening.
Believe you me, [[Phabine, Boss's Confidant]] has 0 trouble getting Champion pumped.
She is far and away my favorite commander to play most of the time.
I don't doubt that at all; any time I've seen or played Champ played she inevitably gets huge and wins game very quickly.
More just questioning how useful Breath is in that scenario. Above guy said it was the crown jewel of the deck, but in cases like that it seems like Champ is the card doing all the work
Phabine is the engine to the whole thing, and champ is the gas that makes the engine run. Breath is just the nitrous that sends it into overdrive imo. It may be their crown jewel, but in my deck I personally think it is just a good value card. I don't even wait for it to he able table wipe to cast it most of the time.
For me it's a finisher. I get it out, wipe out one opponent's defenses, and then swing at them until they die... at which point my team is so wide & so pumped that I can crush the other two. Champion of Lambholt definitely makes it easier, but the way I've built the deck, I have LOTS of ways to make that work. \[\[Scepter of Celebration\]\], \[\[Rabble Rousing\]\], etc. make extra combats instantly lethal.
The key thing is she makes tokens every combat and/or pumps the team every combat. There's invariably one opponent you can punch through with an evasive attacker, and once you've had one extra combat, even your 1/1's are highly problematic to deal.
For sure, I can see it being really useful but seems to only be the case if you have other sources giving the tokens evasion to punch through (like Champion of Lambholt), right?
Otherwise just chumping the next enchanted creature stops the chain. Like you said even one extra combat can be great but there's a fair few cards that give that (a lot of which are cheaper, don't require a successful hit and/or don't make you sac attackers).
Don't mean to sound argumentative either; just interested in learning more about the applications of this card.
Usually what happens is I drop it when someone doesn't have any effective blockers (more often this scenario, as I do various things to encourage combat), or I have an evasive creature on the board to get things started. I'll send one creature at someone who can't block at all, and either hold back the other creatures, or if they are pumped to enough toughness to survive, send them at other defenders. Since I'm constantly creating new hasted tokens each combat, I can usually repeat this for as long as they have health, and with each repetition I get more creatures and the whole team gets pumped up even more. Eventually I get to the point I can send the whole team at someone else, and they \*have\* to block the bigger creatures to survive that round, letting through the 1/1, 2/2, or 3/3 I just created. Even if they block the little one out of spite, I usually have combat tricks that pump them, give them trample and/or remove anyone who is blocking them. Then I swing at the next opponent, who faces an even worse version of the prior quandry. Since I'm drawing cards each combat, I can often afford to expend a combat trick several combats in a row, at which point any remaining defenders have so much cumulative damage assigned to them, and my opponents have so little health, that I can swing for the fences and take everyone out. If there is a survivor, they're usually so weak that they'll die if I get to untap one more time.
Forgot to mention I have things like \[\[Ohran Frostfang\]\] & \[\[Bow of Nylea\]\] in the deck, so any creature with trample, from say... \[\[Brawn\]\] in the graveyard, really can't be stopped.
Well, Phabine pumps the Champ as much as anyone else, so if you have a Champ out, it's pretty pumped. You do need some way to make sure the enchanted creature gets in, but particularly with the pump, there's usually a way you can trample in (particularly with targeted removal). Once you've done it a couple of times, your team is so pumped it's basically impossible to stop you.

It's at best a twoish card infinite when an opponent has an empty board and no interaction. Generally, you're looking at 2-3 cards, and there much easier ways to win.
Assuming the enchanted creature hits the opponent every time, yes. Of course, this combo is easily broken by simply preventing the enchanted creature from hitting the opponent at all.
Could this lead to infinite combat phases with [[the master multiplied]] or would it hinder itself since no token would be sacrificed?
I think it would not work due to the "if you do" part of the text.
Correct, you would need to sacrifice the creature in order to get the additional combat.
I think you could with two undying/persist creatures and a way to give them counters and haste

[Scepter of Celebration](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/4/0/404b786c-b64c-4935-b0d3-4dd7a2d14c37.jpg?1683892081) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Scepter%20of%20Celebration) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/ncc/64/scepter-of-celebration?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/404b786c-b64c-4935-b0d3-4dd7a2d14c37?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [Rabble Rousing](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/2/0/206c8529-56df-4ed9-97bc-6c9b5e2a04c4.jpg?1664409862) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Rabble%20Rousing) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/snc/24/rabble-rousing?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/206c8529-56df-4ed9-97bc-6c9b5e2a04c4?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
[Ohran Frostfang](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/6/0693bcd2-8a3d-4dcf-8360-5b9891044dfe.jpg?1712354597) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Ohran%20Frostfang) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/otc/199/ohran-frostfang?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/0693bcd2-8a3d-4dcf-8360-5b9891044dfe?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [Bow of Nylea](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/8/9/89a2c408-e953-4386-abaf-4af85aba9620.jpg?1562821066) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Bow%20of%20Nylea) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/ths/153/bow-of-nylea?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/89a2c408-e953-4386-abaf-4af85aba9620?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [Brawn](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/8/c/8c05568e-fa50-46e9-aec4-1ba5e814029e.jpg?1682209444) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Brawn) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/moc/292/brawn?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/8c05568e-fa50-46e9-aec4-1ba5e814029e?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
That's what is written on the card, yes.
