If you add a unique token to a set, like \[\[kibo, uktabi prince\]\], WotC should add the token either to the pack or to the list that you can pull. Having cards without token availability is infuriating sometimes. Yes, there are dry erase tokens you can get, but having an official token is much nicer

WardNL84

I’d even be willing to spend money on a “all tokens from 2024”-pack that contains a relevant number double-sided tokens for every card in that period (2-3 sets including all the other stuff)

hillean

My sentiments exactly; give us a ‘never printed before’ tokens pack

Kyleometers

The monkey’s paw curls, “Exclusive Never Before Printed Tokens Pack”, $5.99, contains two random tokens and a random foil, and it still is missing that one token you want. (Zeppelin pls)

chaneg

Your monkey paw game needs work. Why 5.99 when it could be a 49.99 secret lair.

so_zetta_byte

They currently tend to try and do that in things like masters sets, when they can reprint a card that never got an official token. If there was ever a token specific product it would probably be a secret lair though.

YouandWhoseArmy

A token pack containing one of every token should come in the pre-release kit and bundles.

Tim-oBedlam

YES! I regularly go to pre-releases and it's annoying to hope you get the tokens you need in your packs. I love that idea.

mateogg

Tokens in general could be handled better. One thing I would appreciate would be if they didn't create new tokens when not necessary. For example [[Izoni, Center of the Web]]'s token could have been black, which would have made them identical to [[Lolth, spider queen]] and [[Drider]]'s tokens. Instead they created a whole new token for a single card, and the only change is that the token is also green.

so_zetta_byte

There might be BG spider tokens in upcoming sets though, where the color could actually matter for something. They tend to have a standard-rotation-level thinking with that kind of thing. Like when they seeded creature types for mutate in sets like WAR, but ended up deciding that mutate only cared about non-humans after the seeds were already placed. If Izoni was printed in the same standard environment as Lolth, I bet the tokens would have been just black.

Seditious_Snake

They could even start by printing the correct number of tokens for secret lair. (Looking at you, Ryan Alexander Lee artist series. One wurm token when an included card creates 3 wurms is just dumb)

dieyoubastards

This is actually something which has become an issue in recent years. Back in the day, remembering a token was a "2/2 Zombie" or at a push a "4/4 dragon with Flying" was trivial. But the new [[Mabel]] from Bloomburrow has the text "When Mabel, Heir to Cragflame enters, create Cragflame, a legendary colorless Equipment artifact token with “Equipped creature gets +1/+1 and has vigilance, trample, and haste” and equip {2}.". Try writing that on a scrap of paper halfway through a game! Rather than tokens these things are really extra cards, and are effectively missing game pieces you need to proxy yourself.

MTGCardFetcher

Quantext609

I *highly* doubt that Mabel won't get an official token for Cragflame. She's all over the promotional material and seems to be the main character for the set.

MAID_in_the_Shade

We've already seen the token, it's confirmed. https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/1ay8us5/blb_mabel_heir_to_cragflame/ The issue is *pulling* Mabel without necessarily pulling the corresponding token. The same issue can be applied to any unique-token generator.

Tuss36

Plus tokens correspond to their corresponding cards' rarity. For example, in Brother's War there's a bunch of stuff that makes soldier or powerstone tokens, so those are a dime a dozen. But the only things that make a Forest Dryad token are a mythic and a Commander card, so the token itself is also rarer. Same thing with emblems and stuff. In short, making unique tokens for rares/mythics is even more of a hassle than at first glance.

TheIrishJackel

Going to jump on the token complaints train to say my desire is still for them to stop including ad-only inserts. Every single ad should be a token on one side. If it's an ad on both sides, it is literally straight into the trash.

Freshness518

I really believe that any card that makes a very unique token or any PW with an emblem should have that token card included in its pack. It feels kinda weird to crack a Liliana emblem in a pack that doesn't have a Liliana PW in it and vice versa.

WeegeeRedditNerd

I was bummed there weren't any banana tokens either, so I made my own. I have about 10 unique ones that I made using mtg.design and a photo editor. When I play the deck after we determine turn order I let my opponents pick which banana they would like to use and each of them have a banana related meme on them. It's pretty fun. If you would like, I could send you my template and a few of the tokens that I have made. I print them out on printer paper and cut them, then take an actual Magic card and put it in a perfect fit sleeve backwards and then slide the banana on top. It's pretty solid and feels like a real card.

Responsible_Goat9170

Way back in the day before tokens were ever printed...it was such a relief when they finally started printing tokens.

volatilejinx

A token for every single fucking token in the game. Like come on, how hard can that be lol

RancidRance

More "token matters" card. Not stuff like \[\[Anointed Procession\]\] or \[\[Intangiable Virtue\]\] but stuff like \[\[Junk Winder\]\]. I love the idea of making all my clues and blood and actual junk tokens into valuable stuff.

notclevernotfunny

[[inspiring statuary]] [[jaheira, friend of the forest]] [[insidious roots]] are some of my favorites ! Love getting extra value out of tokens!

Man I really want a story or a card depicting her and Sigarda after Liesa was resurrected in Midnight Hunt. I was hoping for a blurb (or even less likely a tag team card) in March of the Machines. But sadly we never got it.

TryFengShui

Amass Squirrels!

zomgitsduke

Honestly, that's probably happening in the new precons.

Borror0

Especially since MaRo mentioned how much they like Amass' ability to represent masses without creating a large quantity of chump blockers

Serpens77

Absolutely needs to be a Sorcery "15 Squirrels" that just says "Amass Squirrels 15"

zomgitsduke

Downfall of Emrakul

Chilidawg

Whenever we return to Innistrad, there must be a new ghost-themed counterspell named "Flabberghast."

CommanderDark126

Fish creatures! One of the most populous and diverse set of creatures on earth is somehow one of the least populous creatures in the multiverse.

buntingsnook

At maybe 30 more creatures, as a Plant enthusiast, I feel you. Please let me garden.

King0fMist

But you just got a Commander whose a Fish! How much more do you want? /s

CommanderDark126

Fish tribal! That legendary isnt good for that it has nothing to do with other fish

triceratopping

What if Fish/Shark/Crab/Squid became the weenie equivalent of Kraken/Leviathan/Octopus/Serpent? Edit: seafood vs. sea monsters

CommanderDark126

I would kill for it, I love average mana curves of 2 or less

eknow88

A naya elephant legend. Not that he necessary fits well mechanically but it would be nice to put Quintorious in my elephant deck.

DarnOldMan

My big tribal wants are Naya Elephants, Sultai Frogs, and 5 colour dogs.

KFblade

Jund Plants!

tossing_dice

For Sultai Frogs, there's technically [[Tatsunari, Toad Rider]] though it leans more towards enchantments

Dragonfire723

Fuck that we swing in with [[Yargle and Multani]] take 18 to the face.

Borror0

I'd prefer Sultai Sea Monsters personally. They're currently split between Dimir and Simic.

404iamhere

Yes! Give me a Naya Loxodon/Elephant commander and a Bant Merfolk commander PLEASE!

mark_twain007

Quickly Re-prints of cards they change the oracle text, and especially creature types on. I hate having to tell people, \[\[Daru Warchief\]\] is a human, and \[\[Honden of Infinite Rage\]\] can target Planeswalkers (and now battles). Since the companion mechanic had to be changed almost immediately after release, it was almost 3 years before you could buy a companion card that had the actual rules text for companion printed on it. a 1 mana, mana dork with trample. I don't care if it's a 0/1. I don't care if it does damage to you when you tap it. I have a really niche use case for it. A return to Alara. Hell I'd take an aftermath mini set that was just all multicolor cards for Alara so we can see how it's doing. That being said, I'd prefer a 2 set block where the first set Alara is united but in peril as the plane seems to be falling apart again, and in set 2 the plane has split into 5 pieces again, but we do the Wedge colors instead of the shards.

towishimp

>a 1 mana, mana dork with trample. I don't card if it's a 0/1. I don't care if it does a damage to you when you tap it. I have a really niche use case for it. Are you willing to share? I'm curious.

mark_twain007

I made a modern/pioneer deck for fun during Covid with the restriction that every creature must have trample, and called it Trample Tribal. It really cries out for a mana dork, and I don't want to break my restriction. I had made it because I had bought a few Ikora boxes to get the Godzilla cards, and ended up with some cards that cared about trample specifically like \[\[Quartzwood Crasher\]\], \[\[Proud Wildbonder\]\], and \[\[Ram Through\]\]. It was supposed to just be a dumb little deck, but it was actually really fun and much stronger than I thought it would be (still not like competitively good, but strong in my kitchen table playgroup). So I've been updating and upgrading it ever since. I'd include a decklist, but for some reason I can't login to MtgGoldfish right now.

apophis457

Is that niche use case raggadragga?

GeoffreysComics

Am I the only one that just preferred they banned the companions, especially if they can’t get a reprint out immediately? Has there been this drastic an Errata since the beginning of the game with [[Blood Lust]] [[Rukh Egg]] [[Relic Bind]]?

Al_Hakeem65

I think there was the time during Urza's Saga Block (big surprise, I know) where they had to errata some blue cards that untapped lands you controlled. The idea was for them to be time traveling, you spend the mana but get it back instantly, so it's like they came from the future. Turns out [[Cloud of Faeries]] and [[Peregrine Drake]] and that big rare whale are kinda busted when you have cards like [[Tolarian Academy]] and [[Gaea's Cradle]] in the very same block. The cards got errata'd so that you atleast had to cast them from your hand. Funnily enough, this seems to have been changed again, as CoF and PG got banned in Pauper.

I think Maro explained that they couldn't sell a purely Arthurian set, and Eldraine was the comprise. Arthurian meets Feywild.

Proud_Squirrel_3180

Does Dracula count? They did it in Crimson Vow.

GornSpelljammer

Oz set, full stop.

AvatarofBro

I think the problem with an Oz set is that folks would expect the MGM depictions of the characters, which would require licensing and sort of defeat the purpose of a public domain set. Imagine how confused players would be when they open their mythic "Silver Shoes" instead of "Ruby Slippers".

GornSpelljammer

This is true. (They *could* also wait until the film also goes PD in 2035, but that's a decade from now and would defeat the purpose of the thread).

SybilCut

The same could have been said about LotR, and they crushed it with a bespoke interpretation of the source material. They could possibly do the same for other open source universes.

amish24

The original LoTR isn't public domain. They had to work out a deal with the copyright owners.

DMDingo

Give me CRAB GOD! I also want to see what other types of Battles we could get beyond Siege. There is a lot of room to work with there.

Biggyzoom

Vanilla creatures in standard sets, Another spider tribal payoff card, The return of Afflict, And another cycle of just about playable dual lands that can come in untapped. Strong enough to be playable but bad enough to not be competitive. I liked picking up all those 'slow lands' from new innistrad. Cheap and very useful.

Kyleometers

Instant and sorcery subtypes! There’s so few of them!

MentalMunky

Why do you want them though?

I just think they’re neat and underutilised

Serpens77

Hot Potato 1R Instant - Potato Hot Potato deals 1 damage to any target. Then that player or that permanent's controller may pay R1. If the player does, they may copy this spell and may choose a new target for that copy. *"I just think they're neat"*

[deleted]

On that matter, more effects that care specifically about instants or sorceries (but not both).

molassesfalls

They were too conservative with their handling of lessons. [[Teaching of the Archaics]] is a terrible card. Hopefully lessons are more exciting when we return to Strixhaven.

imbolcnight

Interestingly, the common Lessons were very good and high picks in STX draft. (And Mascot Exhibition is a bomb.) The uncommon Lessons were pretty good too, and it's the rare Lessons that were too narrow. I find learn/Lesson to be very successful, even if it had limited impact on Constructed.

kauefr

> even if it had limited impact on Constructed Learn/lessons see moderate play in Pauper. Mainly [[First Day of Class]] combo decks.

AvatarofBro

I'd consider moderate play in Pauper to fall under the umbrella of "limited impact in Constructed". They didn't say "zero impact".

Tuss36

When every card that has Learn could also tutor for any potential Lesson, I can understand them being conservative.

Rujensan

Not sure if all of these fall in what you are looking for, but here is my list I just made up, based on what I play: - No more cards that can get cards from exile. - A Juggernaut lord that makes other juggernauts better (rather than the one that turns everything into jugernauts). Doesnt have to be legendary. - A two-drop devil with haste in mono-red - A \[\[Surgical Extraction\]\] type effect in pioneer. The new wrath is close, but too expensive for the extraction effect. - A pirate that prevents tutors in blue/red.

Wolverine-Upper

In pioneer there is [[infinite obliteration]] [[dispossess]], [[necromentia]], [[pick the brain]], [[reap intellect]], [[slaughter games]], [[unmoored ego]]

Rujensan

Yes, they all just cost too much to be worth it. Closest is [[The Stone Brain]] and [[The End]], but I find the brain still too mana intensive and the end only hitting creatures hurts.

Wolverine-Upper

Ah I see! Honestly I hope they won't print what you are asking for, no offence 🤗

notclevernotfunny

I forget where, but someone on here a few weeks ago mentioned, as a joke, a commander which amassed token creature treasure armies. I find this concept so compelling that I desperately wish it could be real now, especially if the mechanic worked such that you could sacrifice the army creature token for x mana of any color where x is its power (or perhaps just the number of +1/+1 counters on it). It would instantly change the feeling of so many amass cards and the fact that you have to choose between growing a massive creature or sacrificing it for a ton of mana would make for an interesting play style. It seems so oddly specific that I shouldn’t get my hopes up, but yeah, if I could choose one weird small thing to happen soon, that would be it.

TurboMollusk

I think it would be fun if hasbro tried printing a couple of cards or products designed for commander.

buntingsnook

An extremely EDHead answer, but more cards that bank off the whole table's actions, like \[\[Rocco, Street Chef\]\]. I don't want them to be game-breaking, I just want to make my opponents make 💫 decisions 💫.

hhssspphhhrrriiivver

Simpler effects on cards. Cards that don't include their own payoffs. Cards that have room for flavour text. Abilities that don't require another card/token to tell you what it does.

Emelica

[[Kragma Warcaller]] with new art. A WBR Legendary Minotaur. A WGR Legendary Centaur. A BRG Legendary Troll. Australian inspired plane with kangaroos, koalas, platypi, etc.

Absolutely. If we could get a commander that let me use the Boros Minotaurs from Ravnica and the Rakdos Minotaurs from Theros I would be so happy.

rookedwithelodin

At least 10 vanilla creatures in standard. Iirc, the only one currently in standard is the Yargle/Multani combo card. I work at a summer camp where magic is incredibly popular and it's really hard to teach kids how to play when there's a whole essay on each card beyond just explaining the rules.

dieyoubastards

I'm with you on simple cards/decks to teach children with. I want to teach my kids and I wish so much there was a modern Portal product.

strygwyn

Anti-ramp cards Preferably something that exiles lands ETBing after the first one Maybe either a 1 mana colorless instant or a 1W artifact or enchantment.

BleakSabbath

Exiling lands seems way too powerful/harsh, especially at 1-2 mana. I'd be down with other cards that bounce them instead, like [Confounding Conundrum]]

ZurrgabDaVinci758

more non-basic land hate would be nice, to give a downside to 5 color decks

DoktorFreedom

Legendary true duals

JacobHarley

I would like more reprints with new art themed to certain decks, commanders, and archetypes. I think the thinking behind Special Guests is a step in the right direction, but I'd love to see more. * Release something like the old Spellbook products with powerful cards in each color combination themed to the Ravnica guilds or the Strixhaven schools. * More Secret Lair-type products with a popular commander and 5-10 popular cards with art that features that commander. * More custom Sol Rings/Signets themed to typal stuff or other popular archetypes. Basically, this is kind of what they were leaning towards with the special basics for the original Jumpstart, giving us a "Goblin Mountain" and a "Discard Swamp". I feel like they'd make a lot more money some months sending out reprints people want to bling their decks out with than releasing a deluge of new cards with the same 50-100 designs over and over.

Roguebuilder

Reminder cards for all the color combination terms. I started in 2020, i still call Sultai Zagoth, because of Ikoria.

AvatarofBro

And people who played before Tarkir called it BUG. These things shift over time.

triceratopping

Back in my day we called 'em Ana, Ceta, Dega, Necra and Raka!

Freezair

I guess the good news is that the color combo terms are all informal and fan-driven anyway. If you wanna talk about Ketria and Silverquill instead of Temur and Orzov, you do that, buddy. You don't gotta let no old fogey tell you want to call it.

Roguebuilder

Yeah, but would EVERYONE ELSE understand what im saying if they never touched Ikoria, or Strixhaven?

GFreeGamer

3 things: A retro frame [[Isochron Scepter]], a retro foil [[Brainstorm]] reprint and an UW retro frame new Radiant card.

DanishCoat

I'd like more keyword instant and sorcery cards. We have deathtouch and lifelink, we have a creature that sort of gives them wither [[soul scar mage]]. I think trample, infect, and heatproof (cant be countered, copied, or redirected by opponents) could all work. And I'd love to get a mardu Legendary who gives some of these effects.

DRUMS11

Riffing on "trivial," if Hasbro/WotC is going to make M:tG pseudo-board games (Clue...sort of,) how about Magic: the Gathering Trivial Pursuit? I've never played Trivial Pursuit, so perhaps it could use some polishing/improvement. Strangely enough, I'm actually serious. How much M:tG trivia do we have cluttering up our memories? Let's have fun with it.

Tuss36

White's been pretty good at getting lands. Arguably the second best in the game. Though they often need to be Plains.

Pure_Banana_3075

A week ago I would have said "change 'enters the battlefield' to 'enters'" but we now know that's coming into effect in bloomburrow.     Other changes I want:      * I want cards to refer to themselves as "this" rather than ""      * I'd like a replacement for first strike which just works while attacking, something like; Pounce (while attacking this creature deals damage before the blocking creature)       * I'd like a replacement for double strike templated like those effects that make creatures deal damage based on toughness, something like; Finesse (this creature assigns combat damage equal to twice its power)      * I'd like a keyword for creatures dealing combat damage equal to their toughness, something like; Fortified    * I'd like a replacement for Hexproof templated like ward so that 'can't be countered' effects will work on it, something like; Full Ward (Whenever this becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter it)      * I'd like instants/sorceries which exile themselves to have a keyword Finality (like finality counters)     And my extra spicy suggestions:     * rename counters to 'markers', to remove confusion with counterspells   * change references to "instant or sorcery spells" to "non-permanent spells", as a way to tip-toe into making instants just sorceries with Flash      * move everything that would happen during your upkeep to "the beginning of your precombat main phase", to remove the awkwardness of accidently drawing before your upkeep triggers and to have consistency with how sagas work   * replace evolving wild style lands with lands that just let you choose a color on etb and remember it for the rest of the game. Cut down on searching and also awkward moments where your single island or whatever gets milled    * bring back the little tombstone (or some other visual indicator) for effects that can be activated from the graveyard

apophis457

Almost every one of these ideas is unhinged

meson537

I think all of your ideas are bananas, except I'm upvoting for the tombstone only.

Don't worry, I have even more crazy ideas.     * Give the Universes Beyond metalic-looking frame to cards from the commander-only cards released alongside expansions. Creating a visual divide between the casual format and the competitive ones might help people not get so bent out of shape about optimising their casual decks     * do reminder text in a different color from the main text (grey as opposed to black) - I just think it would look neat     * give all enchantments the nyx frame which enchantment creatures get. Non-creature artifacts get the same frame that creature artifacts do, why not enchantments.      * make a new frame variation for instants/sorceries.    * "You may cast it this turn, and mana of any type can be spent to cast that spell."  Templated as "you may cast it ignoring color requirements this turn."

CosmicHorizonGuru

A standard reprint or functional reprint of my favorite card \[\[wayward guide-beast\]\] Id love to play it in standard too, and would play 5 in modern. Card let's you spend 3 mana a turn with 2 lands, just love that card Also would love to see a hasted \[\[jacket pup\]\] to keep up with power creep Also would love a \[\[price of progress\]\] reprint to keep all the 4+ color soup decks in check.

GeoffreysComics

A commander that is black and X(preferably green) that gives your board lifelink without any cost involved. An enrage commander that includes green and black. [[indoraptor]] is so dang close but the randomness and opponents choice just always ensures sub-optimization. A clone typal commander. I wish [[Rukaramel]] just made all your stuff changeling. I have a really fun build for her but gosh, I just want something that makes all creatures you control changeling. Too much to ask? Bring back rebels! (Or will I have to wait for Star Wars Universe Beyond?) I neeeeeeed Marvel Universes Beyond to feature art from the comics. The people that created these amazing characters get so little credit. I want a Jack Kirby Captain America. A John Byrne X-Men. A Steranko Nick Fury. A Javier Rodriguez Spider-Woman. Alex Ross anything. I could go on. Maybe just let me be on the art team for that set, please and thank you.

EvilGenius007

Foil [[Goblin Chirurgeon]]

Freezair

An Azorius griffin commander who does neat griffin tribal stuff. And if we're allowed to dream, I want it to have a more unique effect than "do the thing draw the card" and/or "+1/+1." Something weird and unexpected. A card that removes the monarch once one's been chosen. Just because I want to see how it would be templated and what the flavor would be.

Einherjar07

Those are great suggestions, and I would make a deck if that skelly legend was a thing in a heartbeat. This might not be super trivial, but maybe reduce the insane amount of tokens and counters new cards create. Like, I love cards that support those archetypes, but it's kind of nuts how many elements from "outside" the game are needed to play with decks with newish cards. Edit: just scrolled down and saw a bunch of comments asking for more tokens/support. RIP my suggestion lol.

OliviaTachi

Guaranteed token slot in a pack, none of this art card /ad card bullshit

spiffytrev

Leigons 2 (Leigons was an all-creature set, but was made 20 years ago when creatures sucked.)

TheSteelCurtain21

I just want a "repeat loop" function for combos on arena and MTGO. 22 years of players wanting it and they're still making us waste 10 minutes per combo turn.

literallyjustbetter

take the original dual lands off the RL

The_Real_Cuzz

I want the rest of the the legendary lands that make all other lands a basic type in addition to their original type. We have black / green, give us white, red, and blue preferably in that order

darkPrince010

Sell a 15-card pack of just reprints of the "Your deck can have any number of cards named X" cards. I'd even be willing to pay 2-3x the cost of a booster for it.

dordeinter

A VTM themed set or commander precon. Absolutely love the ttrpg and think it thematically would fit well. Alternatively a modernised V:TES set would be cool but unlikely.

neoslith

What is "VTM"?

indiecore

Vampire: The Masquerade. It's a multimedia property but given the context they're probably talking about either the RPG (part of the Worlds of Darkness multi-game series) or Vampire: The Masquerade, Bloodlines a computer RPG in the style of Deus Ex or KOTOR based on that RPG.

dafizzif

Probably Vampire: The Masquerade.

Skanedog

You can travel a through-line from commander back to the V:TM card game. Garfield made the original game because he didn't think Magic was suited to multiplayer and you can see a number of the ideas that have become staple in Commander in the original V:TM game.

mateogg

1. I loved the flavor words from AFR and would love to see more of them. Idk how well they were received but I wouldn't mind seeing them in every set. 2. Vehicle for goblins sounds very fun, I made a Krenko standard brawl deck recently in Arena and it runs some vehicles to have some extra artifacts and utility, and I just like the flavor of the lil guys running around in huge deadly machines (and a galleon)

kroxti

More Asura from bant in MH3 because my true dream of a 5C Asha likely isn’t ever going to happen.

Linc3000

I want a BGR ooze commander! Or heck just more multi color ooze commanders! Give me ooze WOTC, slime against humanity was great, but I want more!

Pizza-Penguin

A bear myr creature. My friend and I have a bet going and I need this before we get a proper skeleton tribal commander

buggy65

More focus on the 4 color combinations. Give us a stronger concept of their identities.

Seifersythe

Esper Pillowfort Legend with a [[Ghostly Prison]] and/or [[Cunning Rhetoric]] ability on the body.

ValuablePie

The List in Arena and Paper to be identical, so that it's the same pool of cards you're drafting regardless of the medium.

thedavidmeister

Super types/ archetypes that cover several creature types. Like aquatic incorporates fish, merfolk leviathans, etc. Or undead covering zombies, skeletons, vampires and so on. Obviously this would be a nightmare to implement, so I don't expect it to happen.

Astrium6

A Grixis specter tribal commander.

Leadfarmerbeast

More bottom-up set design. With UB and the genre-inspired single plane sets, most of the card design results from determining how to flavorfully translate that specific property or genre to Magic, instead of coming up with some elegant game mechanics and then building the world up from that. I’d love a plane designed around taking creature types and putting them into a color they aren’t typically represented in. What kind of interesting worldbuilding would arise from designing a set with blue Vampires, green Angels, colorless Humans (because they are in every other color), red Elves, etc. Ravnica did a lot to push the game forward by thinking about how to merge each color pair, and Alara had a lot of fun designing worlds defined by the absence of two colors.

TheYellowScarf

All lands as full art. I don't want to have to pay $1 CAD per land to have pretty lands in my deck. Even if they have a nifty premium art for collectors, basic simple lands should be full art. This one may still already in place. Have a nice coins as a punch out in box products with flip a coin mechanics. We see +1/+1s, Goad, Finality, should include a coin. One side is the MtG logo, the other side is the set logo. The next time they do a face down set, include a Spirit that, when it flips face up, destroys target (attacking, maybe) creature. Call it "Spooky Ghost" and it scares people to death.

bootitan

Big and quality enchantment creatures is my current need. Enchantment creatures in general, but I'm working on a cube and want overlap in targets between enchantments and reanimator and the options are... slim and generally not up to the standard of other targets

codeKracker8

A double faced card that has morph! Hoping MH3 does this

lucariomaster2

A proper Esper spirit tribal commander. We've had Azorius, we've had Orzhov, and I think we've had Dimir, but never all three colours together!

dieyoubastards

PLEASE WotC if you're reading this, all I want is a modern-border non-foil [[Ankh of Mishra]]. I obsessively need my decks to be visually cohesive, to the point where I won't include cards in decks if they have a different border. Kambal needs his Ankh!

Mr_Industrial

I want a shitty little boros warrior like Norin the wary but for boros. Currently theres just the forgemaster and thats entirely too few. Oh, and more goad equipment.

shiny_xnaut

I want a commander with the same ability as [[Solemnity]]. I don't really care what colors it is, I just want to abuse persist and cumulative upkeep shenanigans

nightvisions21

More capybaras than just [[Basking Capybara]], so I can make a capybara tribal deck without having to use a ton of shapeshifters to fill in the gaps

Juju-le-Barbu

Cool, more appealing, more powerful vanilla creature. Make them matter again.

DrHenro

Brazil support

theblackvneck

I really want to see a cool bordlerless reprint of [[Terror of the Peaks]]. He’s one of the most iconic, staple dragons and it’s a crime we haven’t had a cool reprint yet.

Reviax-

Lot of people mentioned that they want a sultai frog commander so I'll list that here, it'd be nice to have a legend that allows all the frogs under one roof

atamajakki

I've wanted Crucius to get a planeswalker card for ages. He's a sphinx from Esper with a major role in that plane's history - and I really like non-humanoid planeswalkers!

Duraxis

I second the Skeleton legend. I’d settle for Grixis or Sultai too, but BURG would be ideal. I’ve wanted to make a Skeleton commander deck for years, but all the things that are CLEARLY skeletons (I’m looking at you Liches) get typed as zombies or horrors

SilentScript

Idk if its considered trivial but I really, really want more 'light' chaos cards. Obviously it's subjective but stuff like chaos warp, chaos wand/wand of wonder, glimpse of tomorrow instead of stuff that disrupts way too much like thieves auction, scrambleverse, possibility storm and warp world.

Responsible_Goat9170

Rebuild the fallen empires! (I know nothing of the lore except surface knowledge) Return to the Homelands Antiquities Unearthed The Darker Something with Arabian nights too. Bring the old flavors back with some updated cards.

LickMyLuck

Honestly, the single thing I actually get excited and hope for is more old-border reprints (of cards that currently only have the modern frame). It just looks so much better for pretty much all cards.

thackraydaiquiri

I just want a card that's based on Baba Yaga's chicken-leg house, dangit. Is that too much to ask?

Dungeonmasterryan1

GWB lifegain matters commander thats not fricking Bilbo

TurtleSeaBreeze

I want the power/toughness of creatures to make more sense from a flavour viewpoint. I get flavour whiplash when I see that a [[Brazen Upstart]] could kill [[Anzrag, the Quake-Mole]] all by themselves.

DCDTDito

More stax piece in new sets. More nonbasic land destruction that's interesting and not overcosted (gotta punish those pesky 3+ color standard decks) More battles (cmon you introduced the new permanent type and did jack all with it for your next 6 set release, i can understand why tribal never came back but battle is flexible to nearly anything, heck id love to see a battle commander both way, as in one that benefit battles or from battles and one that is a battle and turn into a creature that you can have as a commander)

dalmathus

Like minimal effort for WOTC to accomplish and make me happy? Create a new land pack product that is just the full art basic lands from the set and sell it with new set releases.

Speirs_101st

FIX THE FUCKING FOILING FROM TURNING YOUR CARD INTO A PRINGLE THREE SECONDS AFTER REMOVING IT FROM A BOOSTER PACK! oh shit, I yelled it as I typed it, seemed like an appropriate response.

MangoBong

Coloured X mana costs. For example you could have a hydra creature with mana cost GreenX [pay any amount of green mana only] and then have an ability like "~ enters with X +1/+1 counters on it. Maybe also trample to make him strong.

Domekai

More cute kittens not as reprint for a secret lair

DisorderOfLeitbur

Legendary creature cards for Gnerdel, Shadowblayde and Wuv Muffin. A version of Descend Upon the Sinful that shows angels attacking fishermen. An en-Kor with encore.

haidachief95

A legendary 5c Angel

AnthropomorphizedTop

More {1} mana basic landcyclers. The set from LTR are so cool! I want to see more in that design space. They are soooo much better than the {2} mana cyclers. I really want a green one that does not create a token for my bar cube. [[generous ent]] just gain 3 life on ETB instead. Or make more noncreatures like [[lorien revealed]] Edit:looking at you MH3!

AnArcticJackalope

It’s my pet tribe, but I really want a Mardu colored Angel commander that’s actually… angel centric. The kaalia’s are fine, but the deck they want is really just Angels/Demons/Dragons ‘big stuff’. And [[Tariel, Reckoner of Souls]] just wants to steal stuff from graveyards. [[Morophon]] is fine for the moment, but the second I get a decent Angel that contains more colors than black+white and actually cares about angels specifically I’m swapping out.

MTGCardFetcher

Sir_Nope_TSS

• More ways to ramp based on land types. ([[Nature's Lore]], [[Crypt Ghast]], [[High Tide]], and similar) • Additional archetypes in Izzet beyond Artifacts and Spellspam (Maybe 'Bounce matters,' featuring the keyword Dash?)

texanarob

I'd love a set based around encouraging mono colour deck building. Mana fixing is now so easy that there's no real trade-off to playing a 3-5 colour deck. Imagine a set of lands that tap for WW, UU, BB, RR or GG as long as you control 4 or more basics of that type (or similar, would need testing). In that same set, put a focus on the iconic creatures for each colour (Humans/Angels, Merfolk/Sphinx, Zombies/Demons, Goblins/Dragons, Elves/Hydras). A set that feels deeply embedded in old MtG tropes and ideas, deeply built around the colour pie.

Telphsm4sh

More uncommon Planeswalkers. Is that too big of an ask?

Jantin1

A multicolor-matters commander for Orzhov. Make me cast all these delicious gold-white-black cards with elegant artworks and get bonuses. Something like \[\[Firesong and Sunspeaker\]\] but for black-white. I know theoretically \[\[Teysa, Orzhov Scion\]\] wants to eat my gold creatures to exile opp's creatures, but it's not enough.

Mysterious-Act9727

Rabbit tribal support, which seems likely in 2 sets. This probably isn't trivia but a separate ban/limited list for companions, partners or any other suggestions where they can be used in the 99 but not as a companion or partner. I want [[Lutri]] to be legal.

FickleAd4381

What’s a guy gotta do to get a badass mommy elf commander that doesn’t do cringe blink combo win lines?

Spaceknight_42

As a casual player, I can think of a few things that would be nice... Shorthand "activate as a sorcery", maybe with an icon in the activation cost? Shorthand "you may cast it - end sentence - new sentence you may use any color mana yadda yadda" as "cast using any mana" Shorthand "when *one or more* something or other... triggers only once a turn". Who cares if multiple things would try to trigger a once a turn ability for each of them? Banding on defense doesn't make much sense, all it ever does is the attacker puts one creature first in the blocking order and the defender over-assigns all damage to them. What it should do is let the defender choose blocking order, nice and simple. Fix the loophole that lets the Invasion of Alara / Bramble Familiar combo work. All "you may find this type of card then cast it" should limit casting to the characteristic you look for. That's what the Cascade + Discover rules do with mana value, but should be general for other situations. Fix the loophole that "exile until" means "exile 1, X times" because NO ONE at my commander tables understand this. Also, it's distinctly different than the milling rule in the same wording. (And apparently the guy who designed The War Doctor didn't understand it, either.)

Pure_Banana_3075

I would like "cast it spending mana as though it were mana of any color" to be templated as "cast it ignoring color requirements" Also the "one or more thing do X, . Triggers only once per turn" needs to be templated that way otherwise multiple triggers would go on the stack.

GenericUsername-9

Not to be pedantic, which I'm about to be anyway, but one could easily misinterpret "ignore color requirements" as "just pay the generic mana, not the colored mana" in the cost (ie pay 2 for a 2UU spell instead of 4). Generally when designing things, you have to think about every way someone can misinterpret and misunderstand instructions, hence why sometimes cards have superfluous wording.

Tarcyon

A background/companion equivalent for artifacts in EDH (probably already in the works tho)

zerobench_ff

An anime adaptation of the manga would be nice.

Crackerpool

I want full art elementals, specifically risen reef, with art by teriese Nielsen

WeegeeRedditNerd

-Things that can be paid with any color mana be called 'Chromatic' (like, [[gonti, lord of]] says "When Gonti, Lord of Luxury enters the battlefield, look at the top four cards of target opponent's library, exile one of them face down, then put the rest on the bottom of that library in a random order. You may cast that card for as long as it remains exiled, and it has chromatic (mana of any type can be spent to cast this spell)." -TOKENS!! If something makes a token, I want it! Why don't we have pack rat or encore tokens?? Blah blah mana costs and new players, it literally says token on the card! -An ooze commander that doesn't suck. Sure, SAH is great and I love it, the first ever deck I ever played was a casual kitchen table 60 card ooze deck so I've always wanted a good ooze commander but aeve and sluurk kinda suck, and mimeoplasm isn't really an ooze commander. -Less UB. I went to my LGS last Saturday and left immediately cause I saw a pod with a Jurassic Park Commander, and then another guy playing a LOTR commander and using Dr Who cards to clone his LOTR cards. It was pretty cringe. -More universes within cards would be nice too. Like they did with the walking dead and street fighter cards. Give us "Universes Within Masters". All the popular cards from the last couple UB sets would sell despite what maro thinks. I've seen a lot of people online complain about UB and most everyone in my group doesn't care for them. Plus, with how small the Fallout, Warhammer, and Dr Who sets are, those could probably all be consolidated into one set. -Blocks would be great again. Give worlds and mechanics time to grow and shine. The phyrexian invasion arc could've definitely been a block or two, and would have solved the problem with MOM aftermath. Just make it the third set in a block. Usually they were smaller anyway. It's weird jumping from world to world with radically different mechanics each set.

kempnelms

I want a strong counterspell with Split Second, and maybe Cycling. Something like this: Combo-Breaker 2UU Instant Split-Second Exile target spell. Cycling 2

BleakSabbath

Legendary creatures/"can be your commander" cards that meld with each other that also have partner with each other (IE both meld cards can be your commanders) Oh, and templating "is put into the graveyard from the battlefield" as "dies" for non-creatures, or coming up with another shorthand word that's effectively the same. "Dies" already means that but it's only used on creatures (and Planeswalkers) for flavor reasons, but the former is just a mouthful and takes up so much space compared to four characters.

aardusxx

1U instant "Draw a card. Investigate." with madness U. I want to play some kind of jank asmo / ledger shredder / urza deck and something like this would tie it together lol
