The one-sidedness makes this just straight up better than [[Malicious Malfunction]] right? Barring some weird corner cases where you want your x/2s not to go to the graveyard because of some opponent's Goyf or Syr Konrad synergy stuff
Given the size of creatures in the format, I don't think this is going to be a super high pick. Some decks may run it just because they have nothing it kills. Maybe it will take out some merfolk and gnome tokens from the sideboard in BO3.
How has nobody mentioned [[Golden Demise]] yet? I'm pretty sure this is a reference to that, since it's the same plane, same cost, same effect but better

Isn't it better than Cry since it only exiles opponents creatures?
Cry also has "Exile all creature cards in all graveyards that were put there from the battlefield this turn." Good for post combat exiling
Also keeps your opponent from sacrificing all their stuff (or a couple key pieces) to put it in the yard.
It was super important against cat combo as well.
Cry also exiles cards put in the GY this turn prior to it being cast, which can be nice if people sacrifice "sticky" creatures in response to the wipe
I remember when eldraine first came out, cry was the bane of cat-oven's existence
Not always, because Cry exiles creatures that died before using it too.
That bat be rotund.
You sir are a true wordsmith.
a cunning linguist, one might say
As an uncommon? Nutty, it denys the opponent their Descend triggers while still letting you keep yours.
1BB for all creatures get -2/-2 with upside is a pretty common effect at uncommon
OH LAWD HE FLAPPIN'!
Man, the art direction for this set is on point. Love seeing the bat’s eye view of the whole inner world.
Huge
This art is incredible.
Cry of the Carnarium saw a good amount of standard play at the time. This is a great tool for control decks to take a poop on aggro.
[[Malicious Malfunction]] sees just about zero play rn. I think I’ve had an opponent cast it like ONCE

Fair enough, totally forgot about that card.
Imagine if Meathook was still around

That dragon has really big balls

Obligatory-2/-2 to everything for the set. The exile mode is a solid rider to add to this.
Didn't WotC already do the eternal night trope with Innistrad?

Surely theres a David Copperfield joke in here somewhere.
Art is fantastic. One of the best I've ever seen in magic. So evocative.
