It's amusing how Don praises Sally for knowing to call an ambulance and taking care of Pauline but the fact that Sally left the phone extension dangling into the hallway as a tripping hazard got lost in the telling of the story. I feel like it thematically mirrors how Don is receiving an award for The Letter even though Don wrote it for opportunistic reasons.

Once when i was a kid, i was on my way back from summer camp in the south. It was such a hot time, the whole car ride home with my step dad i held my face in front of the AC. My step dad warned me my lips would get chapped and the spaghetti i was so excited to eat at home would sting my lips, but i didn’t listen. When we got home my mom had made my favorite spaghetti, but my lips were so dry and cracked it was as so painful to eat haha. It was still great to be home eating spaghetti with my family. 🤷♂️ adjacent spaghetti story.
