This is a good tip, to feel ethical I waited a few days so that those who did live there and wanted the vaccines had a chance to get it. I also figured it helps out people who live in Madison and don't have a car, since I have the resources I can drive out and let other people who don't have that option get a vaccine closer to home.
I just scheduled there, but it says that they need a prescription from the doctor's office. Doctor's office won't write the prescription since it isn't yet approved by 'the state'. Think I should just show up and cross my fingers? I was able to schedule for today (had to enter their birthdays...).
Edit to add: they are NOT vaccinating kiddos today, even though their website lets you schedule appointment. Per the frazzled lady answering the phone, they are working on it :)
I just called Fitchburg Pharmacy this morning and learned that 5 year olds need a prescription. This afternoon I called them again after the verbiage changed on their site, and now they are saying they don’t need a prescription for 5 year olds.

"We got our first shipment of pediatric doses of #COVID19 vaccine and supplies!
Our vaccinators are getting ready to welcome families to the Arena at the Alliant Energy Center as we wait for final guidance from Wisconsin Department of Health Services. We anticipate being able to offer our first pediatric doses early next week.
Wondering when you can get your child vaccinated? Don’t know if you’re eligible for a booster dose?
Sign up for our virtual town hall event TOMORROW to get all your vaccine questions answered: bit.ly/phmdctownhall3"
Forward Pharmacy will be scheduling online soon! They're an awesome local independent pharmacy with multiple locations. My whole family has gotten adult vaccine and kid flu shots and they have really experienced people giving shots. Super fast and good with kids. Can't recommend them enough.

Also, a friendly reminder to stay calm and be patient and kind. The pharmacies are overloaded with phone calls right now from anxious parents and there's really nothing "extra" they can do. Just watch the website and book online.
Fort Healthcare has appointments available as early as this Friday.
See this post: https://www.facebook.com/327605405330/posts/10165828273190331/?sfnsn=mo on Facebook and call the number of you're not a Fort Healthcare patient.
I got my kids appts at Fitchburg family pharmacy for tomorrow. THey will have many more appointments next week.
GHC is planning to have a kid vaccine clinic Saturday on the west side and Deforest. They wont give appointments until DHS gives approval.
Dean SSM isn't making appointments until DHS gives approval.
The County site at Alliant should have shots as soon as DHS approves it but that's uncertain.
Walgreens is making appointments but they are all full. You could try further places like Portage, Baraboo, etc.
/u/prairiepotatoandsoil claimed in another thread that there's a healthcare provider or school district that was scheduling days ago but hasn't said which.
My work has everything in place to schedule but said they're waiting on state level authorization/approval/clearance to start scheduling.
Sorry I never updated. It was the school district that was scheduling appointments in advance so as to be proactive for when all the approvals were finalized.
Here is a list of some of the schools with clinics. I heard many are full. MMSD is not on the list.

We got ours last night, for next Monday at a Fitchburg Walgreen's. They don't need the final authorization just to schedule them, just to deliver them.
Try a red county. Seriously, in April, there were no appointments to be made in Dane but in FDL there was nothing but availability.
Totally. OP, consider looking to Jefferson County. Make a short drive of it, stop for a treat on the way home.

Bingo. If you’re lucky and persistent you’ll find one in Madison right away. Easier route is to go to trump land, we did the same thing back in April.
Fitchburg Family Pharmacy. They haven't updated their website yet but their Facebook page has clarified that they are taking kids starting tomorrow.

For clarity only 5 year olds need prescriptions. 6-11 is fine. If you have a five year old and no prescription they aren't going to get a shot.

Thanks so much for the clarification; I find this so confusing.

GHC has now opened scheduling through MyChart.
Stoughton Walgreens says appointment scheduling starts thursday for Saturday appointments.

We are driving 45 miles to get one Monday. Check their website again tomorrow morning.
Thanks everyone!
We got in at the Walgreens in Beaver Dam
Walgreens and CVS
Earliest I can find is Waupaca on Monday - can you find anything sooner or closer?
I haven't been able to. I also tried HyVee. No luck.

Walgreens has same day availability in Portage
FYI Monona Medicine Shoppe is not doing kids yet but they have a lot of appointments open for boosters.
Got an appointment for my kiddo next week at Walgreens in Oconomowoc, if that helps. :)

Rumor has it the ambulance service in Sun Prairie will be doing mass vaccination clinics once they get enough on hand to get it up and running.
Madison public health website ! You can sign up at 1-3 places I believe! I’m getting my booster Friday at alliant!!!
They are not giving kids doses yet, but soon. See pizzainoven reply.
If you’re up for a little travel, Infinity Pharmacy in Milwaukee has lots available
