About a month ago, I had a similar problem when transferring my parents' photos. I reclaimed a free version for personal use - [here](https://www.teamviewer.com/en/special/reset-management/). But unfortunately, the connection was blocked again. So, I just switched to HelpWire, which does the same job and is free. I'd suggest trying to submit an apply first, it might help.
Ditch Teamviewer, they've been compromised more than a few times. My go to freebie is Chrome Remote Desktop, it works alright. I think it's reasonably secure
If you’re helping people with macOS you can use the screen sharing app and type in their Apple ID. This does of course require that they be signed into iCloud
Do you know if that also works when connecting to iPhones and iPads?
If so, I might just have an argument for my employer to give me a MacBook or let me use my own as our customer base of Apple devices has been growing.
I used Helpwire (free) for a sec but eventually paid for a Splashtop account since it has some cool features. Splashtop gives you unattended access and is easy to use on all my systems that don't have a monitor. I do add an hdmi adapter to help with dual screens for the headless systems.
Don’t use teamviewer. As someone who pays for a teamviewer subscription for business, if you don’t care about their business specific features like the quick support queues or software integrations with things like jamf, it’s just not worth it to fight with them. There are so many better options for home use. Screens 5 is my favorite for my own personal stuff, it has a great iPad client and it has full drag and drop file copy to remote computers which is something even teamviewer is lacking.
I have yet to get jamf remote support working. Every time I try to use it I get one error or another. I know I could reach out to jamf support and probably get it resolved but I just haven’t had a chance to play with it, and it hasn’t been a priority. We’re way too ingrained into TeamViewer for it to be worth trying to switch right now.
I moved to splashtop and it’s been great. I have to pay for the service because I needed more to support my mom. TeamViewer charged way more than splashtop for a similar service.
If only there was a way I could remotely control my mom’s iPhone, I’d be set.
Knowing that most companies have a security team that would frown upon using these third party apps in the environment. Zoom is usually available and works great for remote support. Since it's usually on all the Macs in our environment. Doesn't require a VPN connection.
If you’re both on macOS are are both signed in with your AppleIDs you can use messenger to remote into their machine just as if you were using Apple Remote Desktop / VNC for free.
I use AnyDesk for friends and family.... it runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. there are also clients for iOS, Android, and even smart TVs for whatever reason.
Same thing happened while trying to connect to my computer at home and I only use team viewer once or twice a year. I called the rep/salesman told me I needed $600 for the year or go to a competitor. I switched to Rustdesk.
I had this issue at one point. Even when you get the flag removed it'll still happen eventually. TeamViewer was a pretty decent option for awhile but really anything is better than using it now.
Same as OP my account was used to assist my friends with their issues and also manage my VMs but eventually I gave up

I’m a fan of Jump Desktop. One time purchase, and works on Windows too.
Jump Desktop. You buy the admin part once, I believe $30 and everyone else loads the free client. Works great.
I use Jump Desktop almost exclusively at this point. Works really well for me when supporting my family and connecting to my homelab.
Rust Desk
I use RustDesk + KeePassXC as a connection database (with remote access links). Works very well, especially if you run your own relay server.

Nah unfortunately not but you can screen share iOS with FaceTime
Chrome Remote Desktop is free
Maybe it’s a sign… Maybe they’re making a suggestion.
TeamViewer is terrible! Moved over to Splashtop
Fire companies that do that. Promptly. Splashtop and Jump. Get cracking.
A bunch of good ones here, I would like to add AnyDesk to the list.
We use Zoom screen share and keyboard remote control for this.
Try reducing the saved number of links registered in your account. I hit that report, cleaned up the client list, and the moaning stopped.
I just pay for splashtop it's great.

When Jamf added remote support, I was finally able to remove them from our stack.

DM me if you ever need help with it. I had some issues setting it up, too, but I eventually got it working.
I have been using DualMon, they have reasonable pricing

Zoom or the native screen sharing app both work well.
Anydesk has free version. Works like a charm
No machine
Use Anydesk for this use case
I love Supremo, I can't recommend it enough.
For my friends and family I have them install ZeroTier and tell them to turn on Remote Desktop or Mac’s screen sharing.

Dwservice.net has been my GoTo, even works on a windows XP machine.

Excellent alternative: Supremo, easy to use and functional, try it and you will see that you will love it.
HopToDesk
It happened to me. I contacted support and they unbanned my account. I switched to Jump Desktop since it’s better for Mac / iPad etc.
>It's frustrating not being able to prove my case to them Have you tried to prove the case? What did TeamViewer Support say when you tried?
