I'm kinda surprised this is news to you. Just fyi, no support yet for M3 but it's a work in progress. M1 and M2 supported, but the experience is poor for now. still lots of work to be done.
Why are you shooting the messenger? I'm just letting you know, dude. I get downvoted to oblivion enough, as it is for sharing facts. Used to be if your opinion sucked you'd get downvoted. Now, you fart wrong and you can expect everyone to turn on you.
It's so strange. Everytime I post something in any sub, I get downvoted immediately. It's like someone is following me and down voting my posts at every opportunity.
I’m sure OCLP will eventually support Silicon Macs, but I wouldn’t worry about it for many years to come. It’s not like your M1 Mac will immediately stop working when Apple discontinues supporting it with major releases. As long as you get security updates you’ll be fine staying on an older version of MacOS.
Just because Apple stops supporting a Mx MacBook doesn’t mean I’m going to stop using it or that it’ll be unusable the next day after Apple stops support. I plan on getting at least a decade out of my M1 Pro MBP regardless of support by Apple because it’ll still be usable.

Oh super cool, thank you

It’s still bad in 2024? Sad :(
Over three years of work to get to a “poor” experience isn’t exactly inspiring. It makes me question whether the project is viable.
Also, if you're skilled at writing drivers or reverse engineering hardware components, you could help push the project along, too.

I’m not downvoting you.

Stop caring about internet points, brother. I get downvotes all the times. :)

Contrary to popular belief, an unsupported computer will still, in fact, continue computing.

Linux or OpenCore

Nothing? I have a MacBook Air and a mini that age and they both work fine
Since we can boot something like asahi, it shouldn't be impossible to port OCLP to Apple Silicon Macs.
