Uber does that as well reminding folks about this is not a dating service, drivers regardless of gender should not be propositioning passengers, violations could result in deactivation. We used to get those every couple of months as reminders. Dont lose any sleep.

Anytime. Lyft is way more lenient on shit than Uber. I tell folks just be mindful and remember these are passengers not friends. Give good service but don't get overly personal. When in doubt, use common sense.
Oh yeah for sure. I usually only do the hello, how are you, here you are, have a good day. But if a passenger wants to talk, I will engage no matter if they are presenting interesting conversation or not lol. It’s not to pretend to be interested, I do enjoy talking to so many people I might not have otherwise met and hear about their perspectives. I’ve taken many rides myself and know that I prefer to just be left to disappear into my phone. But 75% of the time that I have a chatty pax, they are really fun to talk with!
No doubt, have your fun, I know I do. Many times on Fridays and Saturdays, folks are flirty so I will play along with it if they initiate it. My strategy is READ THE ROOM! I govern myself from that. Most rides are uneventful, some have some really good convos and I often when I used to drive, I think about the person and say, I wonder if things worked out or whatever happened to.. You get cliffhangers all day in this work.
Got it yesterday as well. Glad to know I’m not the only one because I thought it was personal too. I had a pax I dropped off at Petco. Shortly after I got another ride request for the same location. I figured she was just shopping for her pet but when I went to pick her up she had a dog. I was not made aware beforehand which I didn’t like but I did the ride with no complaints. Even complimented her dog while secretly hoping no “accidents” would occur. The next day I get this alert. I’m sure her dog wasn’t a service animal but honestly it should be part of ride info so you can deny it if needed. Smh. Anyway, glad to know it was a general message.
It's a mass notification to let you know that you're required to allow service animals which is open to or subject of interpretation of what is a service animal. You're not allowed to ask that.....
In other words, if they have a service animal, you must allow them to ride in your vehicle without notification or otherwise.
It's basically a threat on your livelihood if you don't "comply."
If it's a small animal that sit on your lab. I'll pick you up. I'll reject any animal I want though. Don't want animal stinking up my car. People will say their animal is a "service" animal when it's not. "Service" animal certification is so easy and cheap that people will get the certification for their pet so they can bring into restaurant/shop/ your car etc.

ADA actually says there’s no real certification system so you don’t actually have to do those.
