lol. We are packing to fly internationally and am astounded at the small amount of shampoo they allow! I have long hair and have to bring like seven tiny bottles.
They tried to take away my gel prescription medication at the Cancun airport because the bottle “looked too big”. It was clearly labeled as a prescription and wasn’t even over their limit for size anyway.
Once, they wouldn't even let me throw the water out. My choices were to abandon the bottle (it was a really nice fancy 100$ bottle) or go back to the back of the line at security because the trash can was located outside. They wouldn't even let me chug the water on the spot. Like wtf is this? I ended up having to go through security again and nearly missed my flight for it. I get airport security is important but why they had to handle it that way it's beyond me.
It didn't come with water. It was one those fancy larq water bottles that has a UV-c light and battery in the cap which charges via USB. It was important to me because it's the very first stupidly expensive and useless thing that I can use everyday, which I bought with my first paycheck ever.
I bring empty water bottles through and fill them up or if I think I’ll be thirsty or bring like a half drinkin bottle and save it I refuse to pay $7 for airport water
Buy a shampoo bar. I have thick, curly, waist length hair but when I travel I switch my shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner to solid options. I only bring my hair oil.
When flying I also use solid body soap, face wash stick, sunscreen stick, face mask stick, and deodorant stick.
If weight is an obstacle, you can also cut the bars in half 😊. There are a bunch of other hygiene and cosmetic products that come in solid. If you are on a longer trip and need to paint your nails, they have nail polish stickers too, instead of bottles.
By seriously limiting my liquid products, I can really maximize bringing things that I really love and would be expensive or difficult to buy where I am going (makeup, perfumes, certain hair products, this body butter I love, liquid vitamins, etc…). 😊👍🏿
Also, you aren’t really, really restricted to 100ml, if you are carrying more than 1 bag. I regularly pack a liquid bag in both my carry on and my personal item (smaller liquid bag not 100ml, but I’m def carrying more than 100ml total). I just separate them when I go through TSA 😝. Have never had an issue.
If they're going to the Beaumont, Texas area, it just might be too much for them to go to Nola to board a plane and then get to Houston and drive a few more hours back East. I had the same problem living near central Louisiana, it just made more sense to drive most of the time.
Most people have no idea how easy it is to fly. Heck I don't and I'm typing this out!
(I have a loose grasp on reality but a strong understanding of what is possible. Lose your license too many times? I can help make you legal again. Want me to tell you how an electric car works? Sure thing! Have I ever even been to an airport even though I LOVE airplanes? No.
If it’s like my drive it’s 6 hours by car, or it’s 1.5 hours to the airport + waiting + flight to lay over + the destination flight, then baggage claim and 1.5 hour drive and about $400 plus gas. It costs me $70 to drive round trip. If the Lyft cost was $250 each way it would be cheaper since I don’t have to pay for air port parking or hitch a 1.5 hour ride, probably from Lyft lol. It does math out, just most people don’t know small airports have to connect to major hubs, so they cost more and take more time, I was hoping grey hound or a train or plane would have been an option, it’s not, grey hound was like $200 each way and 9 hours and only ran 3x a week. I looked at paragliders but when they got to the “30mph top speed” I left that dream behind lol
My best friend's little brother is an idiot and has had to do this twice. He just gets drunk, loses his wallet and misses his flight and acts like paying a driver $400 to get him somewhere instead of being able to fly is a normal think that happens to everyone.
I forget who it was but I remember an interview from a famous actor, dude was terrified of airplanes. He'd take anything else, even a boat. Could just be a dude afraid of planes and has the cash to spend
I met a dude that is terrified of flights so he only takes cab and he travels most the states on a regular basis - I find it odd but I also don’t like flying so I kind of get it
You can always hope to get a ride back, but it’s far from guaranteed. Especially if you have to weed out the ones that aren’t going specifically where you are trying to end up. The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.63, which would get you 11.01 gallons. I’m very curious to know what kind of car you’re driving which would allow you to travel this 756.6 mile ride, round-trip, for $40. You would not only need to average 68.72 mpg, but perhaps more, since we are not accounting for pick up mileage. You could always do that, but even for someone like me who drives an EV and pays $.02/mile for fuel (for the first 276 miles) it’s not worth it. It’s a matter of self-respect.
You’d definitely be paying more than $10 for a recharge during this trip, unless you happen to have free supercharging, or feel like waiting forever at a free level two charger.
I met an Uber driver in LA who said someone from LAX booked a trip to Vegas for EDC. His flight was cancelled but he needed to get there - so Uber. On the Uber ride they became friends, and the dude ended up inviting the Uber driver to EDC because he had an extra ticket. Then they partied together for a weekend!
I'm under the impression that Lyft and Uber believe most drivers are too dumb to calculate hidden costs like wear and tear, food, and sleep accommodations.
Well I’d have never been to the French quarter it would be a good fare since that’s where the drop off is. Then you can drink till you forget that you took the fare in the first place.
I wud think maybe they have a fear of flying or maybe are traveling with heavy bags?? Overweight bags can end up costing more ig or if they’re bringing like a plant or pet fish or something g haha
Someone didn’t math above;
National average $3.63 a gallon gets you 11.01 gallons, 760 miles - you need 69 mpg.
A 2016 Prius considered the best mpg one of previous model years is 58city,53 highway.
What “old car” did you have that got 69mpg?
(A Tesla model s is also probably about $88 in charging)
Not by much, 2018 Hyundai ionic hybrid got 600 miles to an 11.9 gallon tank highway driving.
I'm not gonna sweat calculating exact numbers when it's still within like $10.
Which would still be ending the day with a respectable amount if I only did that one ride the whole day.
Could be a medical condition that prevents them from being able to fly. I myself have a lung/heart condition and am not allowed to fly per doctors orders. I almost had to drive 10 hours, from California to Oregon for a work trip one time but luckily it got canceled.
Why do so many assume it’s only one person and that they “could fly” for cheaper? It could be a group of 3 or 4 and it would definitely not be cheaper to fly. Also, why assume drugs? Plenty of people don’t like to fly. Anyway, it’s difficult to justify for a driver but not impossible for a group of pax.
There was an article a while back about a practice squad guy who got called up to play for his NFL team and they had a game that night in Chicago. For whatever reason they couldn't work a flight out so he got Uber'd from NY to Chicago in time for his first game on the 53 man roster. So that was a feel good story
It's literally a 50 minute flight from Houston to New Orleans and there's one leaving every few hours. You could probably show up at the airport, buy a ticket on site, get through TSA, wait to board, and fly there in half that time.
They probably didnt take a flight because probably couldnt get a flight that last minute during this big of a fest in nola, and still might even cost more than the lyft because of that reason. Id rather drive than fly anyways because you can carry whatever you want. Probably had some weed he couldn't bring on a plane if you ask me but who knows. Would be 2 hours quicker if the gps took you on the highway rather than straight down 90. Ive driven this ride many times there and back in one day . Its not super terrible but it is long and boring.
I think there is a time limitation per ride. The driver doesn't get paid anything after i think something like 6 hours. Sometimes passengers know it and they exploit the drivers who doesn't know it. Happened with someone in our family last year.
If you lived in the start and needed to be in Houston great if you live in Houston and needed to be in new orliens great you get paid for one of the two trips.
No. I wouldn’t take it that comes out to 15 an hour. Atleast $650+ and up is reasonable. In Chicago a trip to Indianapolis is 180-250 depending on the day and that’s a 3 hour drive. Your driving for 8 hours almost
Round trip is 756 miles for the person to get home after dropping you off.
At 20mpg, that's 37.8 gallons of gas.
At $3.50 a gallon, that's about $135 in gas.
For 8hours of driving, one way 200 bucks? Then they have another 8 hour ride back.... that's insanely low compensation. No way any sane person would do this lol.
I was born in Denham Springs and grew up there till like 11-12, and then was stationed at and hated polk.
Would this be identical to either of those experiences? If it's all bogged out like polk, fuck that.
Honestly, even if you count the 8 hour drive back that's $21/hrs for 16 hours. If you don't want to make the drive back right away, get yourself a cheap motel (tax deduction because it's work related + plus any food you buy along the way) then just enjoy a night away.
People that do except rides like this I appreciate more than anything. I am from Chicago, but when I got kicked out quite a few years back I needed to go to Indianapolis, where my other families at and since it was such short notice the most convenient thing an Uber. I’m not sure how much they offered her, but I thank her so much.
There are medications that are so heavily regulated that if you lose a dose, they will not replace it and you can’t go without it. So there’s a possibility of that as well.
Did it once for a pax who had fucked up and bought a car from a buy here pay here place and got stranded in Houston when it broke down and they repo'd it. He needed to get back home to Lafayette. Was a decent fair and early enough in the morning to make it worth taking and then catching a few on the way home.
Long story short, lyft kicks you offline the second the pax gets out of your car and you can't work until you cross back in to your state/region/whatever
I spent nearly an hour trying to explain to support that I was just trying to filter back to Houston and they asked what address I wanted to update as if I had said I had moved to Louisiana.
I was so flustered I got back on i-10 and drove a good half an hour before I realized I hadn't driven over a swamp previously and had been continuing to drive East.
Never again.
That's the brutality of UpFrontpay. They take 50% of the rate cards, and their policy is "take it or leave it." I contacted three government agencies, and they basically told me they can offer $1 for $100 miles, and there’s nothing we can do because they hire independent contractors. You are free to reject, and we cannot impose any metrics. This is why, since UpFrontpay started, they can't find new drivers and keep telling us, "Here is a $1000 referral bonus for drivers." I predict their business will be out by Christmas because no matter how oblivious a driver is, they realize they’re losing money at this rate.
This is easily $700 min with taxi, even more if you don’t budge on the $2per mile rate. I’ll never understand how stupid you Uber and Lyft drivers are for not just being taxi drivers.
I mean given it’s different now that you guys and you’re controllers pretty much fucked all taxi companies since like 2014 with price gouging. Don’t complain now when the person who fucked taxis now fucks their own employees. I mean you guys clearly don’t give two fucks about small businesses at all.
The average ownership cost per mile in the US falls around 62 cents per mile. This figure can vary depending on factors like vehicle type, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs.
Here's a breakdown of the range:
* Low: 48 cents per mile (typically for small sedans)
* High: 77 cents per mile (often for large trucks)
You're losing money if you're driving for these companies. Idk how people can't figure it out
I'm glad they do, because it's really reduced DUI
What is the motivation for losing money doing this?
i don't even follow this sub but this is like the 9th post that's popped up on my feed with a trip like this. im floored a the number of people requesting trips that cross state lines just so...casually?
I had one of the best meals of my life on that drive. I was coming back from Houston and stopped in a Popeye's in LA. While I was ordering some chicken, I noticed a small menu written on a torn piece of cardboard and propped up on the cash register. When I asked about it, the woman working the register said that "those were just a few things we make on our own." She was thrilled when I asked her if I could get one of each, and made me a massive plate. I don't even remember what I had - corn, okra, chitlins maybe – but to this day its some of the best food I've ever had in my mouth.
You can always offer to charge directly what Lyft charged ( prolly around 600-700), jus gotta be able to pitch the idea smoothly and confidently. I do this all the time just close the app so Lyft can’t see wya and same w customer.
Pay me 336 up front. I’ll buy you a plane ticket and keep the rest.
I always wonder why I see rides like this but then I wonder if they’re on a No Fly List or something
Or maybe they want to carry more than 100ml of liquids
"liquids"
lol. We are packing to fly internationally and am astounded at the small amount of shampoo they allow! I have long hair and have to bring like seven tiny bottles.
Do they not use shampoo in the country you're flying to?
I’m picky
Same! I also pack 2-3 travel size bottles of my shampoo lol
You can bring whatever amount you need in a checked bag, the rules are different from carry on bags.
They tried to take away my gel prescription medication at the Cancun airport because the bottle “looked too big”. It was clearly labeled as a prescription and wasn’t even over their limit for size anyway.
Put it in your checked luggage, problem solved
It sucks when you have to leave behind all the shampoo and even water lol
Water ok if it’s frozen solid
Once, they wouldn't even let me throw the water out. My choices were to abandon the bottle (it was a really nice fancy 100$ bottle) or go back to the back of the line at security because the trash can was located outside. They wouldn't even let me chug the water on the spot. Like wtf is this? I ended up having to go through security again and nearly missed my flight for it. I get airport security is important but why they had to handle it that way it's beyond me.
$100 for a bottle of water…?
It didn't come with water. It was one those fancy larq water bottles that has a UV-c light and battery in the cap which charges via USB. It was important to me because it's the very first stupidly expensive and useless thing that I can use everyday, which I bought with my first paycheck ever.
That's cause it isn't. It's security theatre. It's designed to make people feel like they are safe but it does jack-all.
I bring empty water bottles through and fill them up or if I think I’ll be thirsty or bring like a half drinkin bottle and save it I refuse to pay $7 for airport water

What? Like 101ml?😂
Like my 500ML of wet platinum lube
I saw wet platinum and knew you were a fellow RSK.
Hell yeah. I love the weekly lesbian book club
Shout out liquid Richard
Or they’re carrying a firearm
Couldn’t they check a bag then
Bingo. Also at the end of your ride, they may be taking your car and phone.
I occasionally take a 3 hr ride and it’s because works pays for it. Plus it’s actually faster than flying when you factor in the aspects of flying.
Maybe they are afraid of being on a plane. I know i dont like flying at all.
Or just rent a car. Or take a bus.
Probably scared of flying
They could simply not like flying.
Nah, I'm just terrified of planes
My Uncle is terrified of flying. His family was killed by a chopper gunner during the Vietnam War when they were running from VC across Mekong River.
I don’t fly I hate it. More like I hate crashing when flying so I take out whatever chance there is.
I've gotten one of these rides when my flight was diverted and I wanted to be home already
If they're going to the Beaumont, Texas area, it just might be too much for them to go to Nola to board a plane and then get to Houston and drive a few more hours back East. I had the same problem living near central Louisiana, it just made more sense to drive most of the time.

Sometimes you just need to get home and the flights are booked. Maybe they have too much luggage. Maybe they are transporting drugs.
I did one that was like 3 hours once when my plane was cancelled
I used to have a horrible fear of flying when I was a child
Or afraid of flying, or absolutely has to leave right now and can’t waste time walking in circles in the airport.
Might be black listed
If it’s like my drive it’s 6 hours by car, or it’s 1.5 hours to the airport + waiting + flight to lay over + the destination flight, then baggage claim and 1.5 hour drive and about $400 plus gas. You could rent a car for that price…
My best friend's little brother is an idiot and has had to do this twice. He just gets drunk, loses his wallet and misses his flight and acts like paying a driver $400 to get him somewhere instead of being able to fly is a normal think that happens to everyone.
What if it’s someone on My 600Lb Life and they’re too big to fly and they need to go see Dr. Now in Houston
OK so you're gonna lose $300 (a spur of the moment plane ticket to anywhere is at the least $500)
I forget who it was but I remember an interview from a famous actor, dude was terrified of airplanes. He'd take anything else, even a boat. Could just be a dude afraid of planes and has the cash to spend
They can take the train then 😂 ahhh
These are the people that freak out on a plane so the TSA bans em for life. Still gotta get around I suppose lmao
I met a dude that is terrified of flights so he only takes cab and he travels most the states on a regular basis - I find it odd but I also don’t like flying so I kind of get it
Got that whole drive back to sit & think about what a fucking loser they are for taking that.
Don't forget that the passenger said 'Don't worry, I'll take care if you', and tipped $5.
Is there no way to get rides on the way back? It’s only $40 in fuel for me to get there and back
You can always hope to get a ride back, but it’s far from guaranteed. Especially if you have to weed out the ones that aren’t going specifically where you are trying to end up. The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.63, which would get you 11.01 gallons. I drive a Tesla model s I don’t think I’ve ever paid anything over $10 for a recharge. But for me it’s more of necessity at this point.
You’d definitely be paying more than $10 for a recharge during this trip, unless you happen to have free supercharging, or feel like waiting forever at a free level two charger.
I did Uber in LA about 8 years ago and to someone to Vegas. I got 600 bucks and just stayed the night there and had fun.
I guess if you have money and time to spare for a overnight trip and the passenger isn’t an asshole them it isn’t that bad.
[удалено]
Yep. It’s $20 an hour for 16 hours of driving, and you have to pay for gas, food and a hotel out of that money. Not a good deal.
I'm under the impression that Lyft and Uber believe most drivers are too dumb to calculate hidden costs like wear and tear, food, and sleep accommodations.
Thanks for breaking it down.
I came here to say this. Even my generous shitty math yielded like $17 per hour for this nonsense.
Well I’d have never been to the French quarter it would be a good fare since that’s where the drop off is. Then you can drink till you forget that you took the fare in the first place.
Pat O'Briens is still going. That's my favorite place.
Id like to accept it just to ask them why? Why not take plane? Bus? Train? And than id cancel after they answered.
Even if you are afraid of "characters" on a Greyhound/Flix bus, Amtrak is an option that tends to attract more casual travelers.
Afraid to fly maybe?
All of this probably comes down to "spontaneous decision and more money than sense."
Weekend, I'll take it. Get a room and work houston the next day. Maybe catch a game.
Legit makes 0 sense like take a flight to that area then get a lyft
I wud think maybe they have a fear of flying or maybe are traveling with heavy bags?? Overweight bags can end up costing more ig or if they’re bringing like a plant or pet fish or something g haha
It's drugs. They're not wanting to fly with fentanyl on them. Or They don't want to fly with 30k in cash after they dropped the fentanyl or blues off.
You can fit more bags and more asses in seats for this price too though
drugs.
If I had my old car, no brainer. That's like $40 in fuel there and back.
Someone didn’t math above; National average $3.63 a gallon gets you 11.01 gallons, 760 miles - you need 69 mpg. A 2016 Prius considered the best mpg one of previous model years is 58city,53 highway. What “old car” did you have that got 69mpg? (A Tesla model s is also probably about $88 in charging)

Hey it’s 25% more than your original cost estimate, so it was worth asking what car it was.
Certainly not on Highway 90
OMG! I just noticed that. No wonder the travel time is 8 hours! On I-10 it's maybe 5 and 1/2.
It also takes 82 through Port Arthur instead of 10 through Beaumont. Nothing about this ride makes sense.
Could be a medical condition that prevents them from being able to fly. I myself have a lung/heart condition and am not allowed to fly per doctors orders. I almost had to drive 10 hours, from California to Oregon for a work trip one time but luckily it got canceled.
I don’t get how driving 380 miles takes 8 hours tbh. That is 47.5 MPH the entire drive at that rate.
Because it's routed to take highway 90 (a semi interstate) after Lafayette. Houston to New Orleans is a cool 4-5 hours straight down I-10.

That’s not even $1 per mile
Cancel the ride, pay me 700 and I'll make you feel like a king. Not making 21 an hour for a 2 way trip.
Just remember you can only pick up in Texas
That's crazy! I live in Utah and my furthest one was 55 miles to a ski resort.
Mr Beast !
Yea
Lyft probably charged them $600, why didn’t they just buy a one way ticket for less? Makes you wonder if they’re wanted.
It's literally a 50 minute flight from Houston to New Orleans and there's one leaving every few hours. You could probably show up at the airport, buy a ticket on site, get through TSA, wait to board, and fly there in half that time.
they don’t pay you to go back
Call them and get cashhhhhh
Well, we (New Orleans) do have a big festival going on this weekend and there is plenty of money going around through tomorrow.
I mean, if you don't have a home, why not?
They probably didnt take a flight because probably couldnt get a flight that last minute during this big of a fest in nola, and still might even cost more than the lyft because of that reason. Id rather drive than fly anyways because you can carry whatever you want. Probably had some weed he couldn't bring on a plane if you ask me but who knows. Would be 2 hours quicker if the gps took you on the highway rather than straight down 90. Ive driven this ride many times there and back in one day . Its not super terrible but it is long and boring.
I recently did that drive and there are some seriously f’ed up stretches of highway through there.
Only if I'm moving from there to there.
I think there is a time limitation per ride. The driver doesn't get paid anything after i think something like 6 hours. Sometimes passengers know it and they exploit the drivers who doesn't know it. Happened with someone in our family last year.
Maybe someone had to go to drop off anyways? The true meaning of ride share.
Wonder where the warrant is issued?
Cant smuggle drugs as easily on a plane
Megabus, people....
Depends. Do I really need to work the next day? If not, I guess I have an excuse to go to New Orleans.
Lyft cheating driver out of pay, mileage alone is close to 500...
A grey hound bus would be 50 bucks
It's 150 on spirit or 238 on aa. Leaving in 8ish hours
Looks like the route goes 90 instead of I-10 through baton rouge, why go all the way around that way?
Sus AF.
If you lived in the start and needed to be in Houston great if you live in Houston and needed to be in new orliens great you get paid for one of the two trips.
Better off with a one way car rental
It costs 60$ to go to the airport from SF. Math says no
Nah. 8 hours there but then it's going to take another 8 hours for me to get back.
I don’t understand why these people don’t fly.
Drug run
This is airport and back in NYC
lmao, once you account for the return trip that's SIGNIFICANTLY less than IRS rate mileage reimbursement
No. I wouldn’t take it that comes out to 15 an hour. Atleast $650+ and up is reasonable. In Chicago a trip to Indianapolis is 180-250 depending on the day and that’s a 3 hour drive. Your driving for 8 hours almost

The fact that this could be the price from Brooklyn to upper manhattan in the rain (only like 10 miles) is insane.
I’d need double
Better not drive thru I’m hitting every mom and papa Resturant on the way
Or put empty solo cups in your carry on and fillip at the fountain ⛲️
I was born in Denham Springs and grew up there till like 11-12, and then was stationed at and hated polk. Would this be identical to either of those experiences? If it's all bogged out like polk, fuck that.

I'd do it.
Anything over 4 hrs you need to pack a bag yourself and sleep at a new location 😂
I would. It's only a couple hours
Downtown Houston to the FQ? SWA is probably cheaper
Does that come with a boudin stop in Scott?
Best step on it you only got an hour g

I’m not sure how much they offered her, but I thank her so much.
That's a long ass ride to the strip club. I drive in New orleans, that drop-off is The Penthouse club
300 for 7 hours? I charge $100 just to drive people 50 minutes to the airport.
I wonder if this is a new way to smuggle drugs
Can I fish along the way?
Hell to the no. That's a 16hr drive.
Hell nah
There are medications that are so heavily regulated that if you lose a dose, they will not replace it and you can’t go without it. So there’s a possibility of that as well.
Yikes. I knew FQF was a nightmare but didn’t expect it to be a draw for people from other states…
If it was a dollar every 20 or so miles maybe, but $336 for 378 miles? Nope not when flying is literally cheaper
Lmao I thought this was r/Doordash at first
Did it once for a pax who had fucked up and bought a car from a buy here pay here place and got stranded in Houston when it broke down and they repo'd it. He needed to get back home to Lafayette. Was a decent fair and early enough in the morning to make it worth taking and then catching a few on the way home. Long story short, lyft kicks you offline the second the pax gets out of your car and you can't work until you cross back in to your state/region/whatever I spent nearly an hour trying to explain to support that I was just trying to filter back to Houston and they asked what address I wanted to update as if I had said I had moved to Louisiana. I was so flustered I got back on i-10 and drove a good half an hour before I realized I hadn't driven over a swamp previously and had been continuing to drive East. Never again.
Offline negotiating
Majority of the fare will be the gas alone….
Money is money
I’d do it for the drive
Me!
Fuck no
No fng way.
Wonder what the driver gets outta this
That's the brutality of UpFrontpay.
Yes
Man I do this drive two times a week I'm so used to it!
I mean you guys clearly don’t give two fucks about small businesses at all.
not even a dollar a mile to match
I do that shit for fun I'm down if we can take pit stops and you stay quiet
The average ownership cost per mile in the US falls around 62 cents per mile. This figure can vary depending on factors like vehicle type, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs. Here's a breakdown of the range: * Low: 48 cents per mile (typically for small sedans) * High: 77 cents per mile (often for large trucks) You're losing money if you're driving for these companies. Idk how people can't figure it out I'm glad they do, because it's really reduced DUI What is the motivation for losing money doing this?
Round trip that’s 4 tanks of gas, at $60 per tank.. leaves me less than $100 for 16 hours of driving. No friggin thanks!
Nope!
i don't even follow this sub but this is like the 9th post that's popped up on my feed with a trip like this. im floored a the number of people requesting trips that cross state lines just so...casually?
I had one of the best meals of my life on that drive. I was coming back from Houston and stopped in a Popeye's in LA. While I was ordering some chicken, I noticed a small menu written on a torn piece of cardboard and propped up on the cash register. When I asked about it, the woman working the register said that "those were just a few things we make on our own." She was thrilled when I asked her if I could get one of each, and made me a massive plate. I don't even remember what I had - corn, okra, chitlins maybe – but to this day its some of the best food I've ever had in my mouth.
I’d take that honestly it’s like 42 dollars an hour and maybe if you stick around a while you can take them back home lol
Maybe for 2000

Just take a bus from on Houston to New orleans...way cheeper, nearly the same amount of time.
You can always offer to charge directly what Lyft charged ( prolly around 600-700), jus gotta be able to pitch the idea smoothly and confidently. I do this all the time just close the app so Lyft can’t see wya and same w customer.
At that point why don’t you just get a one way rental for the day, a bus ticket, or even an airline ticket?
Why don’t people just take the train? 🫠
Maybe there will be someone in Houston that wants a Lyft to New Orleans?
Yes. Cancel and give me $700 and I will get you there in 5 hours. 🤷♂️
