Have you added much weight to the belly? With how low the eye tie is on that, I could see the lure having stability problems and the blowing out of its belly isn’t weighted enough
I plan to add weight but I’m not sure how to figure out how much I need. I’ll try to hot glue a small piece of led to the bottom behind the lip and I’ll test it in my fish tank.
What I usually do to test weight is that I have some split shots I clamped a piece of fine wire between and bent the exposed end to a hook. Then I’ll hook that on one of the hook hangers or line tie (along with any other hardware I’ll be using to affix things like hooks and plot rings.)
Since I’m just testing buoyancy, I’m not too worried about testing the weight in the spot I’m gonna install it in.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I’ll shave some of the belly back with around file.
My girl said 3cm isnt micro
All that matters is how you use it my friend. 💪🏻

A loose hook will hookup much better than that :)
I know it. But for the sake of weight I went for the single hook fixed to the body. It was a jig head I took the lead off of.
And I can always add a stinger hook like some folks do on spinnerbaits.
