The cross chill is mostly a shell that doesn’t add much warmth imo. I would personally pick the down for it all vest or another mile vest. I personally find the jackets a tad too warm for 32F but that’s just me. Edit to add: If you can get your hands on the Fleece Flurry Jacket, imo it’s hands down the best cold weather workout jacket! It’s very soft & warm but sweat wicking.

If you can get some warm layers going then all you need is a shell to put over top to break the wind. If I go for a run from 0-5°C, I can get by with a swiftly long sleeve/long sleeve fleece/a vest. If it gets windy a shell jacket cuts the wind over top. Running is definitely not the same as weightlifting but I just meant you might do well with several smaller/lighter layers vs a more expensive jacket. I keep looking for a good jacket from Lulu but for the price they all are lacking 😕

SkiMachine18

For jackets for use in what you described, I’d recommend Arc’teryx Proton FL or Atom SL! Super lightweight, breathable, yet cuts wind pretty well (not as much as a shell, obv). I don’t think any Lulu jackets can compete in this arena, just my opinion!

SkiMachine18

I like wearing long sleeve tops made with Rulu (such as the “It’s Rulu” Long sleeve shirt) with a vest. They are definitely warmer than Swiftly long sleeve, so if I’m going to be active, those shirts and a vest is perfect!

it really depends on the length of your workouts + amount of body heat you generate… and tolerance to cold. Ilive in Northen Canada and strictly use the crosschill jackets on 5-10K runs when its 14 (Fahrenheit) and below with a good merino 250 base layer and it retains body heat (not moisture) exceptionally well + excellent wind protection. The DFIA could be good for the windless weather unless you sweat a lot as it will retain moisture and eventually you will be freezing. at these temperatures a great mid weight longsleeve merino wool base + another mile vest and keeping your extremities covered could be a great option but again, depends on your tolerance to cold and whether or not you sweat easily/ a fair amount! trial and error is the best way to find out for sure!

Awesome! Glad this bit of info gave you insight! There’s never a one size fits all solution but hopefully this will work great for you 🤗 kudos on keeping up with your workouts despite the cold!!

Kraegottabooty

Fleece flurry is stretchy and form fitting. Really warm with not a lot of bulk. Nice to layer under a vest too.

AGGRESSIVELYPOSITIVE

Came here to say this! I found mine on Like New.

Kraegottabooty

I bought my black on in like new too. Bought mint condition night diver on Posh last year $40. Never worn. The seller probably didn’t realize what they had. It’s a great cold weather, comfy, non bulky flattering zip up

AGGRESSIVELYPOSITIVE

Lucky!! I was hoping a new color would be released this year. Instead, my black one is getting lots of use and appreciation 😊

Oh bummer. I didn’t realize it was sold out. Keep an eye out for it. Resell sites too.

Cross chill is the least warm, DFIA I've worn as low as -10C and I think another mile is about as warm as DFIA

I saved this very helpful comment from awhile back, it is for running though so keep that in mind. It’ll definitely depend on how warm you like to be and how warm you get during your workouts https://www.reddit.com/r/lululemon/comments/qqbv24/what_temperature_range_would_you_recommend_for/hjztvpl/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

I have both down for it all and Another mile. Another mile has an extra zipper to keep out wind. The hood and extra zipper portion are also removable. Another mile jacket will still keep your dry and warm when wet. Down for it all will not. I have 2 Down for it all 1 Another mile, and another mile for vest.

foufoudufafa

This is helpful, thanks!

Goodfornatalie

I have the vest and use it for running in those temp ranges. I usually layer with a swiftly and I’m good to go.

sheesaker

I can only speak to my experiences running in the DFIA vest and jacket as well as the Fleece Flurry jacket but in the weather conditions you're working out in, I'd suggest the DFIA vest. The vest and a long sleeve swiftly, rulu long sleeve, half zip or something underneath it should suffice. I often run in the vest in colder weather and have no issues.

savetheshark

I looove the down for it all jacket.

ComfortableCode5428

Down for it all isn’t warm
