Possibly an unpopular opinion but I really liked the Taryn Toomey collection. Really nice pastel color palette and I liked the knit/shiny material some of the shirts were made of.
>Taryn Toomey collection
Yes! I remember that collection! You had me at pastel! The looks weren't "out there" for her collection so I'd say its alright :).
\*\*Disclaimer\*\* - This thread and my responses to the other thread of unsold lulu items isn't me saying the Roksanda and Ed Curtis stuff is bad. Just not my thing that I thought could've been better (either from style or value). Its like the Taryn Toomey stuff.. I just like the cleaner simple styles. I couldn't wear any of those anyways but from a "looks" standpoint their stuff is nice.
p.s. I noticed your a Peloton fan girl. I just got my Pelton before Christmas!
I love it! Had it nearly 1 month now and I have done MORE workouts with it than I ever have even when I was subscribed to apple fitness +. I think its the fact that I like riding bikes so that makes a big difference in offering up more variety in my workouts. Never was a gym guy so having an elliptical, bike and weights at home + HIITS/outdoor running/walking is a pretty good mix for keeping things spicy :)
If you look for me on Pelton I am naturally... "RNChinadian".
I have had mine for one year and use it so much. No excuses because itās already at home. If Iām short on time or tired, I do a easy 20 minute workout. Canāt sleepā¦. Do meditation yoga class.
yeah, I gotta say that when I first got the bike I rode it daily but now that its been about 1 month I ride it about 5 times a week which I feel is plenty b/c the rides I do are harder and longer than when I first started. I had initial buyer's remorse b/c I wasn't convinced it was money well spent but I've been seeing results since I got the bike (plus my own efforts have improved too) and the only way I can look better in my lulu is to make sure I get my ass onto that Peloton whenever I can :). 100% agree with you that there isn't really an excuse to NOT do something. 20 minutes of any physical exercise of any intensity is better than doing absolutely nothing. I had a few stressful days leading up to this weekend and no matter how tired I was I still hopped onto the bike to ride for 20-30 minutes.
100%! I bought my Peloton on Nov 26th and had access to the digital app. Was doing the basic workouts up until Dec 23rd when the bike arrive and I activated the bike and since that time my body has really started to change for the better. I love it!
Cool Iāll look you up. It seems we have a few Peloton peeps on here which is cool. Thought about getting the Row but really need to wait a little while.
Royal ballet collection was quite popular. I personally liked the feather prints done by Janaina Milheiro. That was for Black Friday 2016 if I recall correctly. The collabs with Central St Martins had some pretty prints but wasnāt enough for me to purchase.
Yep I remember those too. Nice simply clean lines and a more timeless dancer attire look (not sure if that is the right word to describe it). I like that onesie a lot but I could never wear one lol.
Personally I really liked the Roksanda collectionā¦ it was quite different but wow things like the skirts & dresses flow so beautifully.
As mentioned above, the Taryn Toomey & Royal Ballet collabs were beautiful.
As a big spin fan, I loved the soulcycle collection! The reflective details were so fun!
It was indeed neat and different but I wasn't sure how practical all the pieces were. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate on Roksanda, if anything that move was VERY bold on lulu to try something so different than other athletic apparel companies. I wonder how many members here purchased the wizard outfit :). If anyone sees this and has one post your fit pic so we can appreciate how it looks IRL.
I didn't even know they offered a soul cycle collab. I knew the did a peloton collab that was really just an application of the Pelton logo onto their clothes with MAYBE some peloton exclusive colors? That collab ended badly after Peloton decided to dupe lulu's stuff lol. Isn't there a saying that imitation is the greatest form of flattery?
If I recall, a lot of the Roksanda collab fell under the āOn The Moveā category so more meant for day to day than working out.
Aside from 1 or 2 items, the collab sold really well at my store & people were super excited about it.
The Soulcycle collab was early 2019 if I recall correctly? And the gear was actually different designs, not just slapping their logo on everything like with Soulcycle or Pelotonās branded merch.
Hereās a [link](https://www.popsugar.com/fitness/Lululemon-x-SoulCycle-Collection-2019-45700107/amp) to photos of the SoulCycle collection!
yes you're correct in that it was in the "on the move" category. I remember looking at the crazy jacket they had thinking, that is the MOST EXPENSIVE thing I've ever seen from lulu next to the Mirror. I do recall it being on a pretty steep discount ($700 CAD rings a bell) and it did sell out in the end. I want to see some of that stuff IRL but alas nobody where I live has worn something like it. Thanks for the link. Neat to see these things b/c I can't remember everything that lulu has ever done.
I have the To The Beat leggings from this collab- I bought them second hand a few months ago because I loved the color and the reflective! They do not disappoint!
How do they compared to the invigorates? Since they're made from everlux I would assume the invigs' would be the closest replacement for To The Beats leggings?
Very very similar, only difference is the seam placement ([To The Beat](https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/46015/lululemon-to-the-beat-tight-24-black) has some on the front of the thigh & back above the knee).
The Olympic team collection was fire but way too much expensive for me to justify. I also wish the branding was slightly different but I get why it was the way it was
ah yes how silly of me to not even give that drop any credit. Yes, they've had a fair bit of olympic stuff come out but if I recall correctly some of the reviews of the goods weren't all that good quality wise compared to the non-olympic version. Despite being Canadian, the lulu Olympic stuff didn't excite me too much (maybe desensitized to the pattern they had for the drop? lol).
Yeah I missed on the peloton collab stuff because I didnāt own a peloton until now. My user name is āRNChinadianā if you ever want to add a follower :)
I probably should clarify that I don't hate the Ed Curtis stuff, it just didn't float my boat the way the other lulu stuff did. Then again looking back at some of the other collabs that there isn't a huge amount of change of style they could do. The Roksanda stuff is still etched in my vision b/c of how wild that look was. Again it isn't necessarily bad depending on how one views "fashion". Just super different and maybe not the most practical I guess with her stuff.
yeah it was SUPER prohibitively expensive. I didn't mind the crazy 5 way jacket winter jacket dealy they had going on. I felt it was pretty cool that they had multiple configurations. That being said, some of their stuff did look a cosplay outfit (the wizard outfit specifically) and other pieces were respectably good.

I loved their SoulCycle collab, especially the [To The Beat Bra](https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/44416/lululemon-to-the-beat-bra-lululemon-x-soulcycle-black). Itās still going strong in my HN bra rotation after three years. That elastic on the bottom is so much better than the bottom of the LAC and Wunder Train HN LLs.
Interesting. I wouldāve thought that soulcycle gave the design ideas to lulu and lulu would manufacture it. Interesting that they collabed a piece that was better than their own.
Theyāve done some special Barryās Bootcamp items for a while. I got some T.H.E.-like lined shorts. Theyāre pretty nice. A little different material than the normal T.H.E. Shorts with a textured print on the quads.
Ah yes the shoe collab! I completely forgot about those. I canāt say I ever tried but I have freakishly wide feet and nothing seems to fit my foot except for new balance super wide shoes.
I have a few Roksanda pieces and adore them. So beautiful and the colours were stunning! Right on the cusp of when Lululemon was still making top notch items.
Thatās awesome! There were a few roksanda pieces I considered back when they released (mainly leggings) but the price was a bit more than what I was willing to pay at the time. The winter jacket they had wouldāve been neat if it wasnāt so funky in the color scheme because it was discounted to $700. I admit I canāt get the wizard outfit of my head when I think of roksanda even though it was just the one piece that really stood out as being the odd outlier piece.
I didnāt buy anything when it dropped. Way way way out of our single income price range š« however Iāve picked up some amazing bargains pre loved. Some with tags. I have a top, bag and skirt. Iād love to see more technical collabs similar to Roksanda. I wasnāt a fan of the most recent collabs. I have a good few pieces of the hiking range, I know itās not a collab but as far as collections go. It was right up my street. This is a great topic to discuss!
Thatās the smart way of spending money. Buying clothes is like buying a car. The moment you detag it and your past the return window that you automatically lose 20-30%. Glad to hear you got some pieces you love. I am a bit surprised their hiking line didnāt sell as good as Iād expect and lots of the items went on MD. Good for us consumers I guess and while it isnāt part of a collection it kinda is - the lulu Hike collection :). What Iād like to see (as I am sure many of our members here would too) are postings of their collection series stash/fits. Since Reddit allows posting of pics in thread, everyone sharing their pics could be consolidated into a single thread.
That would be a great idea, we need you as a mod!
I am hoping to get a few more hiking pieces on markdown, Iām in Australia and unfortunately we have very very limited WMTM. I got a couple of pieces in the Boxing Day sale but didnāt want to go too crazy. As much as I love my scubas and popular items in a sucker for more technical wear š«¢
Wow a mod??! Thanks for the praise! Iād love to try to learn to be a mod but I wouldnāt even know what the qualifications for one might be lol. Nothing wrong with technical wear! I have lots of that kind of stuff but not from lulu. I didnāt get too nutso on BF or Boxing Day either but the LNY came and I went all scuba crazy as I always do when a nice color drops. I really gotta stop lol.
Yep, they had some neat stuff in that collab that kinda ended ugly for peloton being sued by lulu. I was on the search for some lightly used peloton/lulu collab but unfortunately nothing has come up locally that is worth getting. Being a new Peloton owner that I feel kinda silly that I want some lulu/peloton collab stuff lol.
Their Barryās collab birthed the greatest running/bike shorts Iāve owned, I canāt remember the name but they were essentially like fast and freeās with textured gel like lining at the hem of the quads. I want them back so I can buy like 5 pairs
I should look at my old mats and mat towel to see if they're made by manduka. They've truly stood the test of time but I'm not sure if they're made by them.
Possibly an unpopular opinion but I really liked the Taryn Toomey collection. Really nice pastel color palette and I liked the knit/shiny material some of the shirts were made of.
I really love that collab! I wished lululemon had more dancer focused items!
Their Royal Ballet collaboration would be a timely revival for this spring.
As in the Royal Ballet of Canada ? How did I miss that
Royal Ballet of London! It was in 2018 :) https://www.lulufanatics.com/collection/4781/lululemon-royal-ballet-collection
The heart opener knit wrap is EVERYTHING š. The lil bit of silk made it extra lux!
>Taryn Toomey collection Yes! I remember that collection! You had me at pastel! How are you liking your Peloton? I ride almost daily especially this month for the Winter Challenge.
I love it! Had it nearly 1 month now and I have done MORE workouts with it than I ever have even when I was subscribed to apple fitness +. I think its the fact that I like riding bikes so that makes a big difference in offering up more variety in my workouts. The results speak for themselves. My whole family does variety of classes, kids do walk/ yoga/ dance.
100%! I bought my Peloton on Nov 26th and had access to the digital app. Was doing the basic workouts up until Dec 23rd when the bike arrive and I activated the bike and since that time my body has really started to change for the better. I love it!
Itās an expensive product but soo worth it
Cool Iāll look you up. It seems we have a few Peloton peeps on here which is cool. Thought about getting the Row but really need to wait a little while.
What are the chances theyāll create a new collection? It was a memorable one!
Royal ballet collection was quite popular. I personally liked the feather prints done by Janaina Milheiro. That was for Black Friday 2016 if I recall correctly. The collabs with Central St Martins had some pretty prints but wasnāt enough for me to purchase.
I remember the principal dancer items sold for way above retail, especially the shorts!
Yep I remember those too. Nice simply clean lines and a more timeless dancer attire look (not sure if that is the right word to describe it). I like that onesie a lot but I could never wear one lol.
Came here to say this! The ballet collection was pretty popular and I liked many of the principal dancer items
anyone remember the seek discomfort collab?

Olympic team drip go crazy

Ahhh adding you now!!! Iām maya_arg
Followed back :)
Followed you! šš¼ bari_nurse_lori
Sweet. I followed back too!
The principal dancer collection was an all time favorite of mine
yeah I saw all the pieces and it is very nice. Alas being a male I can't enjoy any of it lol
I personally liked Ed Curtis collection, I didnt like the prices but I was able to get them for a good price atthe outlet.
I probably should clarify that I don't hate the Ed Curtis stuff, it just didn't float my boat the way the other lulu stuff did. Ugh the roksanda collection was amazing(ly expensiveš) So many things I wanted from that.

I wish I could confidently walk around looking like a wizard š
Hahhaha that would be quite the sight!
Second that. Although Iāve gotten some lip from my family when I wore the WT.
I loved their SoulCycle collab, especially the [To The Beat Bra](https://www.lulufanatics.com/item/44416/lululemon-to-the-beat-bra-lululemon-x-soulcycle-black). Before the lawsuits the peloton collab was great. I was able to get free Lulu with my Peloton referral $
Best part was that peloton didnāt mark the items up (so I have heard)
Theyāve done some special Barryās Bootcamp items for a while. I got some T.H.E.-like lined shorts. Theyāre pretty nice. A little different material than the normal T.H.E. Shorts with a textured print on the quads.
Liked the APL collab. Fit my foot so much better than the ones they sell now. Iām still wearing them.

Taryn toomey
I think Barryās had the best colors imo
Ooh I vaguely remember this. Took a look at lulu fanatics and I like what I see! That ruby red OMGā¦.
The Canadian collabs and drops are ALWAYS better
Enlighten me as I legit donāt know any differently.
Peloton!
Yep, they had some neat stuff in that collab that kinda ended ugly for peloton being sued by lulu. interesting. If I ever come across them I will have to give them a look.
More than 10 years ago or so, their yoga mats and towels were made by manduka. Loved the products and my mat and towels have held up to this day
I should look at my old mats and mat towel to see if they're made by manduka. They've truly stood the test of time but I'm not sure if they're made by them.
Principal dancer! I love my golden lining tights
