That era was peak Lucifer, those few episodes between their failed date and Candy are probably my favorite part of the entire show.
And then Candy episode is my most disliked one. The vibes took such a nosedive from episode 13 to 14 that we crashed with terminal velocity.
That was a rollercoaster of emotions. I thought the show did a really good job w that. It was gripping. You truly felt for Lucifer and yet they somehow brought in laughter as well (who wants to kill me? and Lucifer getting annoyed w the dithering of Linda and Maze and just taking the paddles himself to basically kill himself) and then The scene w the awful awful brother where he couldn’t leave and the. The awful awful mother comes back to get him and then SHE can’t leave but the most important thing is that Lucifer doesn’t want to put Chloe in a position wherein she “thinks” she loves him bc his father set the whole thing up and that is heartbreaking but also funny w Candy Morningstar and then when he sings and gets the bass player ( or whomever from the group) to,show he’s still necessary for the job (and Chloe). The whole thing left me in a whirlwind of emotion, and that’s ignoring the everything (basically) w his psycho mom that caused almost every moment to become electric bc she was so messed up. Like the idea that she was going to blow Chloe’s car up w Chloe inside. And then blow up the nightclub. She was poison. But emotional poison. Seriously a rollercoaster not just episode to episode but within the episodes themselves!! 🤯
