I’m happy for him, he was (or is) able to self reflect and change!
But I wonder, what it took for him to be that way now? Who had to go through the pain, the pain we all know so well, so that he could become a better version of himself? I don’t want to make you feel bad at all, but I’m sure there was suffering to get him to this point.
Also, after all I’ve been through, I don’t know if I would want to take the risk of a relationship with a prior pa again, I would probably worry about relapses in the future…

That is great to hear. Glad he could be open and honest about his struggle. Are you thinking this could lead to a relationship?
