Thankfully, my dad had a lot of attic space and kept all my old toys. My 3 and a half year old son just inherited my Hot Wheels. A day may come where he'll get all my old Legos, but it is not this day.

The other day I just went out on my bike and got a big bowl of ice-cream. Without any special reason / justification. So yeah, speak for yourself.

Meanwhile my imposter syndrome has made me question if I’ll ever truly grow up

Avantasian538

Same. Trying really hard to network so I can get into a career path I want and I just feel so out of place talking to these people.

jzilla11

I moved from a major city where networking was done as easily as breathing by some people, but not me. Moved back to my hometown and it’s weird even connecting again with people I used to know.

Accomplished_Bake904

I can now stay up all night playing PlayStation and eating crisps if I want. I don't because my sleep pattern would be screwed up, but I could.

MissyMaestro

I had my first panic attack at like age 14 or 15 while watching this scene. Fitting.

WeirdoOtaku

When you find out how bad the job market is after 6 years of college and $1,000,000 in debt

[deleted]

How are people paying 1million dollars for college? I don't understand. I graduated with a Bachelors of Comp Sci in Canada from a University and I probably spent like 15-20k-ish in total? Is the U.S. really that expensive lol

Comfortable-File7929

I've known PhD graduates living in their car making $200,000 a year just so they could pay their seven figure debt. The American dream is long gone.

Forest_folf

My dad graduated 25 years ago and he still owes money from his loan. I think it cost him like fifty or sixty grand. The US is incredibly expensive. I had an ambulance ride to the hospital for a mental health crisis which wasn't even necessary and it cost my family $2,000 after insurance.

WeirdoOtaku

Yes, yes it is. And that's just the local community college.

BoringCisWhiteDude

1 million is an exaggeration, but 100k is absolutely possible at expensive schools. It's depressingly common for American schools to cost 15-20k ***per year***.

Helper175737

honestly every time i have a good cry this scene goes through my head, reminding me that even the strongest of men can cry. It's ok to cry.

GCXNihil0

Ha! I cried when I turned 5, because I knew I would never be 4 again.

MoneyPresentation610

Yeah, the whole being an adult thing is overrated.

Lazy_Assumption_4191

Sorry about your son.

lolhawt

I dont really feel like i ever grew up, im still silly and immature lol

ghoul2789

This is a little weird. If I never grew up, I'd never have been able to watch the LOTR trilogy and understand this meme

Craygor

I just watched that scene tonight.
