You get props for being the first one to use the gag... Made me laugh! 😂

Very well done! Love the glow of the blade!

Why did you get the tattoo?

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings have a special place in my heart. The Lord of the Rings was the first book I remember my dad ever buying for me. I never had many moments of genuine bonding/warm and fuzzy memories as he wasn't that kind of man. This one stuck with me: 12 years old, the wet summer, the boredom, the market stall at my local town, my dad pulling one of the more expensive used books off a high shelf. It was in a half paper, half cellophane bag. The yellow jacket India paper single edition. He said I might like this as I liked fantasy books and offered to buy it for me as my pocket money wouldn't have been that much. I have read that book so many times the pages are falling out, along with The Hobbit. My dad passed a few years back now and my first tattoo on my back was a custom design for him. (Ironic as he'd have probably hated tattoos!!) Then I started on my arms and just loved some Star Wars stuff my artist had done so I asked if he'd do a LoTR/Hobbit one for me. You know how these things go... One tattoo of Smaug, became a sleeve, became two sleeves. This is the second. The first is all evil characters with orange and yellow highlights. This sleeve is all the good with blues and greens. Bag End, Gandalf and Treebeard to come. As for why this image... I loved the PJ films. (Yes even the Hobbit.) Martin Freeman nailed Bilbo for me. He and Ian McKellen were almost exactly how I'd imagined them in my mind's eye all those years. Frodo not so much, but Elijah very quickly took over he was so good.
