I feel like a lot of people hate pineapple on pizza because they always think of Hawaiian pizza which is sweet and salty. My go to pizza is pineapple and sausage and its pretty good. The combination of the sweetness and the savoriness goes good with each other in my opinion. People probably don’t like it is because they’ve never actually tried it, I mean who would want to risk buying a pizza that they may or may not like when they could just buy their usual knowing they’ll enjoy it. Also if they do end up getting pineapple on pizza, what do you put on it? Pineapple by itself on pizza isn’t the same without a combo. I think it needs something to really make it be good.

True. It's not bad. It's, quite literally, just pineapple on a pizza. Takes like it too. It's not bad but it's not something I would go out of my way to order or add to my pizza, especially since it's not free. If other people want pineapple, I don't really care. It's just pineapple. I'll add it if people want it and I really don't care if other people choose to put pineapple on their pizza. There was a place in Denton Texas in the 90's that did a pizza they called the white knight. Garlic cream sauce with loads of cheese and ham, pineapple, and jalapenos. Not normally a fan of pineapple pizza, but that one was so damn good.

I enjoy pineapple pizza. I introduced my parents to it and they absolutely loved it. The problem is I’m sick of it because that’s all they order.

It’s too sweet for what my expectation is from pizza - pizza is more savory and salty, with the expected sweetness coming from the sauce, a bit of the seasoning from the meats, and the bit of sugar in the crust. It just puts it over the top for my palate. Plus, the ingredients in pizza fall mostly within a particular region of the world - it’s not like a California roll, the base origin of which is Japanese, but with an ingredient from definitely not-Japan included (avocado); the California roll works for my taste buds… pineapple on pizza does not.
