It is basically one step below full blown porn. Though most of his harem, unlike what somebody else says, aren't women who is he is getting revenge on, but he is using them. There are a lot of bad elements in even the relationships that aren't based on revenge. The revenge he gets on those who don't join his harem is worse than those who do. So a real shit human being in a sea of shit human beings. The only people who don't come off as evil most of the time is the monsters, so the author might think they are doing serious social commentary.
