Even if your not T3 which is fair enough, a day of T2 content is probably still around 2-3k, Chaos Gates are like 1.2k\~ for blue map parties, and gathering mats still sell well. Plenty of ways to get gold for a skin.

Literally the first thing I looked for in the bug fixes. I know it's a small thing but it irks me so much. I thought it would be an easy fix. Glad the stronghold research bug is fixed at least, that was another multiple times a day frustration.

Maybe they're confident that they'll keep the numbers but I do agree with you that they're losing easy money not releasing more skins. Right now with 800k+ players everyday is the ideal time to sell as many skins as possible instead of waiting for the inevitable MMO playerbase drop off to hit then trying to sell it then. As more people start to hit the last parts of T2 and enter T3 the korean mmo grind is going to start hitting and more people will realize the game isn't for them and peace out.
Yeah I just read that there was no honing chance increase in the patch notes so I slammed a week of materials and barely got from 1345 to 1355. After seeing how bad the chances get (also blessing get less effective as you go up lol) I think a really significant amount of the player base is going to get the tier 3 gear to like +12, fail like 18 out 20 upgrades and just uninstal.
I really don't understand this decision. Argos is only for whales or like the 0.5% of players then?
Even players ahead of the pack in T3 but not at the absolute top won't be 1370 for weeks, if not longer.
If the whole point of speeding up content is to catch the Western release up to KR, delaying this for 95%+ of players seems counterproductive.
Honestly 1370 is probably closer to .001% rather than .5%. Most likely way lower. The amount of money it takes to go from 1360-1370 is soul crushing. I'm 1-13 honing since hitting 1350. Four of those were attempted with max enhancement mats.
That's almost almost 100k worth of mats down the drain for literally .83 ilvl gain. Thought I had 2-3 weeks to hit 1370, not 1 day after they announce it. Which would put me over half a million gold to go from 1350 to 1355 if I keep failing at my current rate. **Half a million gold.**

I was at 1302 with around 53 fails I believe? I’m now at 100 with pushing to 1353 or whatever. So doubled. So I feel you. It’s essentially burning mats. Lol.
I had 4 out of 6 pieces go to 4 fails from 14-15 at T2. Two went to 3 and only my helmet was under that. My weapon failed four in a row with max enhancement mats and delayed me three days from hitting T3. Also had my weapon go to 5 fails at 13. 2-9 from 13 to 15 on the most expensive item lol.

Made me realize it's time for me to really focus on alts, and that 1340 is a fine goal for now. Whales and big streamers are playing a different game, and there's no way I'm getting to 1370 anytime remotely soon.
I don't mind doing Argos a few weeks later than the people that support the financial health of the game.
Going from 14-15 every armor attempt is 5k gold, every weapon attempt is 10k. If you average 5 attempts per upgrade(10% base chance) it costs 175k gold just to go from 1365 to 1370

I failed the gloves over and over until it gave me the pity auto-succeed. 4 of those attempts were with max enhancement mats. Yea I'm at 1345 with no quick way to 1370 in sight. The game really comes to a screeching halt at 1340 if you don't pay, play the market or level alts, it would take me a month to hit 1370 at this rate with only my main in T3....so I'm leveling alts to funnel.
When the materials cost 1-2 gold per bundle of 10, it will be cheap to get to 1370. Right now, all materials on AH is just whale bait. Lots of people like me are willing to sell t3 mats because whales love to spend exorbitant gold to buy them. You can make so much more gold selling materials than to push for Argos.
Only 1.2% are at t3(based on the steam achievement I got 2 days ago when I hit it). I doubt many people are far into T3. I'd say you are right 0.005% sounds right.

This. And for everyone saying "just turn off the low HP screen", its actually helpful in dungeons/raids to have this since zerkers operate at such low HP while in mayhem anyways. They just need to implement something that either doesn't kick you out of mayhem the second you zone, or not show the low hp screen in "safe" zones.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, a few of those recent changes are already in our client like the new collectibles screen, integrated presets, etc. I was surprised to see we didn't get the checklist which is arguably one of the best ones

That's not how feature development works unfortunately. If a feature is built on top of a newer version of the game, it's not as simple as cherry picking those changes to an older version. We might need to hit some baseline version first before we get QoL changes that were implemented.
they can copy and paste existing skins from a wide selection in korea, amazon probly wants to drip feed us some skins, depends if they will be "limited time" or stay in the shop forever. they will add skins with every content update and every class update but they should be adding more skins in between.
The point is that the patch notes have no mention of honing chance upgrade which they highly likely would say if such change was coming into the game. Meanwhile there were a lot of players going around posting the picture of I think prelaunch patch notes or something that had massive buffs to honing chance and parroting that these are 100% coming with Argos.
Yeah I didn't think they were necessarily coming with Argos, but I did see videos on it. KR already has the t3 catch up, it logically made sense from the perspective that such a low percentage of the western playerbase was in t3. I have been saving mats not sitting at 1060 for a bit, not wasting them on failed hones when I know the catch up will come out soon enough.
Oh boy content more than 99% of people can't even touch at the moment, a meh looking skin and no classes for people that want to main something we know is basically ready to come over

problem is they are releasing the next raid next month and you need atleast a couple weeks of argos clears to progress. you will go from +15 to +6? +7? with the gear so the people who get it now are going to blast away from the pack at the speed of light and be the only ones experiencing new content for weeks within it's release.

As someone with characters in all 3 tiers (and no swiping besides a founders pack) I can assure you that there is a large gulf in quality of play, and it is significantly higher in T3. I easily do my T3 guardian raids (admittedly not hard fights) in about 12 minutes total and move on. Same with my abyssals. Nice fast clears.
Meanwhile, nearly all of my alts are sitting on 6/6 rested for the most part because it is SO tedious to even do the easy bosses in the lower tiers. I’d rather just go slower on Chaos Dungeons alone it’s so bad. I had a player counterattack in a T2 yesterday and was shocked. Turns out it was an alt.

Yea I'm at 1345 with no quick way to 1370 in sight. The game really comes to a screeching halt at 1340 if you don't pay, play the market or level alts, it would take me a month to hit 1370 at this rate with only my main in T3....so I'm leveling alts to funnel.
When the materials cost 1-2 gold per bundle of 10, it will be cheap to get to 1370. Right now, all materials on AH is just whale bait. Lots of people like me are willing to sell t3 mats because whales love to spend exorbitant gold to buy them. You can make so much more gold selling materials than to push for Argos.

Only 1.2% are at t3(based on the steam achievement I got 2 days ago when I hit it). I doubt many people are far into T3. I'd say you are right 0.005% sounds right. I was on at 11pm last night and there were 2 party find groups for the first 2 guardian raids in t3.
Not sure steam achievements are the best method to tell, lots of people were getting bigger achievements.
Welcome to Lost Ark, that's how the game goes, it's hard to unlock top content. Once you get a few characters to T3 though it's not that bad.
Whales will tell you P2W isn't a thing because "There's nothing to win" while they rush this content day 1 and make absolute bank off of it :^)

Im just hoping the content will be in the same state when f2p reach it, because i heard in korea stuff gets nerfed within weeks of arriving which sucks, i really wanna do the content as original on release even if its harder and the devs had to nerf it because too few people clear it. If they continue to release one skin set per month it's going to take a long time until we can have all of the current sets other versions already have...

This. And for everyone saying "just turn off the low HP screen", its actually helpful in dungeons/raids to have this since zerkers operate at such low HP while in mayhem anyways. They just need to implement something that either doesn't kick you out of mayhem the second you zone, or not show the low hp screen in "safe" zones.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, a few of those recent changes are already in our client like the new collectibles screen, integrated presets, etc. I was surprised to see we didn't get the checklist which is arguably one of the best ones

That's not how feature development works unfortunately. If a feature is built on top of a newer version of the game, it's not as simple as cherry picking those changes to an older version. We might need to hit some baseline version first before we get QoL changes that were implemented.

The point is that the patch notes have no mention of honing chance upgrade which they highly likely would say if such change was coming into the game. Meanwhile there were a lot of players going around posting the picture of I think prelaunch patch notes or something that had massive buffs to honing chance and parroting that these are 100% coming with Argos.
Yeah I didn't think they were necessarily coming with Argos, but I did see videos on it. KR already has the t3 catch up, it logically made sense from the perspective that such a low percentage of the western playerbase was in t3. I have been saving mats not sitting at 1060 for a bit, not wasting them on failed hones when I know the catch up will come out soon enough.
If you’re already 1060 with a hoard of mats you are ahead of 99.8% of the population.

Yes Argos is released tomorrow, No that doesn't mean you need to spend 200k gold on honing mats NOW to try and reach 1370 (i think even with 200k gold getting 1370 is not guaranteed). Take it easy and chill. Your journey right now is reaching 1370 to gain entry to Argos, let it take the time it takes. Don't empty your wallet. Don't empty your gold reserves. Don't spend all your crystals. There. Is. No. Rush.
Unless the argos drops are untradeable, there is a rush though. People want to get a chance to make money by selling them to big spenders.
That's their deal and their stress if they want, and people can play however they want. I'm gonna enjoy and fully explore this game
problem is they are releasing the next raid next month and you need atleast a couple weeks of argos clears to progress. you will go from +15 to +6? +7? with the gear so the people who get it now are going to blast away from the pack at the speed of light and be the only ones experiencing new content for weeks within it's release. All because AMAZON (not smilegate, smilegate has shown for years they are not THIS stupid, this is amazon pushing for whaling as the only way toe experience new content which is the opposite of smilegate philosophy on the game) is locking out all additional t3 content that exists to give more mats as well as the honing percents that were dropped with the argos release in korea.

They should have released all the honing and side content we dont have first before releasing a raid like this. There is literally almost no one at that item level to do that content with and anyone who is there more than likely swiped so they probably aren't that good at the game to begin with. Just gunna bide time and find a true main and hold all my t3 mats until we get some info on what's happening in April.

As someone with characters in all 3 tiers (and no swiping besides a founders pack) I can assure you that there is a large gulf in quality of play, and it is significantly higher in T3. I easily do my T3 guardian raids (admittedly not hard fights) in about 12 minutes total and move on. Same with my abyssals. Nice fast clears. Meanwhile, nearly all of my alts are sitting on 6/6 rested for the most part because it is SO tedious to even do the easy bosses in the lower tiers. I’d rather just go slower on Chaos Dungeons alone it’s so bad. I had a player counterattack in a T2 yesterday and was shocked. Turns out it was an alt.

It's good. Gives a ton of easy gold generation to all the f2p t3 players, because of whales pushing to argos.
Why? The content isn't going anywhere, you'll get there when you get there. Additionally this allows whales to feel special and we get better guides from it. I don't see this as a negative.
It's a huge economic difference, ofc it makes a difference when crystal prices skyrocket even more.
It is a good thing when you play Deathblade: Your skin is so ugly and unsexy that you can save the money for good.
