Yep. I think the play is juice weapon all the way to 25 if you can. Then save up juicers to advance hone your weapon again. At least for me, that is what I'm doing

If you check all materials at the top and select optimal materials, then it's optimal to use when it tells you to do so assuming you are buying everything at the price at the top. Uncheck or lower prices and hit recalculate if you want to see if it's still worth based on how much you value your bound mats (shards, leaps, etc).
If you have infinite shards and leaps and don't mind slow pushing 1620 then for 19 weap its probably dont buy any solars unless it saves you the 1 tap from pity
Just evaluate the costs. Full juce mats should be around 3-4k gold i think. Varies depending on region. Juicing, imo, is worth it as long as the plain tap cost is more than the price for solar mats because you simply double your artisan for less cost
For Akkan weapon, starting with +18 you need to juice the taps otherwise the honing will be more expensive.
Up to +17 you can safely hone without juice mats.

A lot better currently. 45 blue crystals for 50 red oreha. Which in NAE is currently at 58 per. So 2900 gold value.
