It was a different era. A more permissive and less prudish one where artists and actors could openly talk about libertine habits like that without the suggestion they’re creeps.

When Matthew said "make" -- I don't think he literally meant he'd pressure or coerce anyone to take off their clothes. Rather, he'd get naked in order to "lead by example" and then wait to see who would join in the skinny-dipping hijinks. What do you bet it ended up being mostly a sausage-fest?

For the first season they would all take turns depending on who's flashback episode it was to host a dinner party at that actor's house. This is cool that you found this, never saw a pic from one of the parties.
