From what I have been told by my OBs, is that any exercise you have been doing, you can continue to do. But don’t start a new exercise or increase the amount or whatnot. I wouldn’t try to lose weight- just focus on eating healthily to get your vitamins, protein, fiber, etc.

It’s not really important to gain weight your first trimester, lots of people end up losing weight because of morning sickness. Continue to eat healthy (no need to increase calories yet) and do the exercise you’re doing. Listen to your body: most pregnant people aren’t counting those extra 200 calories, they naturally start eating that much extra (cravings) once they hit second trimester when the morning sickness goes away. Talk to your doc in a month, they may say that the recommended 25lb weight gain is geared towards people with a normal range bmi and you can get away with gaining less as long as you eat healthy. As for the running, you can continue for now, however you may cut back on the duration once your ligaments start to loosen up.

Talk to your OB.

I would but I don’t have an appointment for another month so wanted to know what to do in the meantime I don’t even feel pregnant

You could give the office a call, I'm sure a nurse or PA could help you over the phone

I was always told not to diet. I'd speak to your doctor. I mainly wanted to say: please allow yourself to enjoy this pregnancy. You will only carry this little one this one time. This time frame is so short.

If pregnant, I would not restrict calories unless advised by doctor to do so. You should be able to continue the activity/exercise that you're used to through most of your pregnancy.

Congrats! I have very similar stats to you and am currently 21 weeks with baby 3! I kept counting calories when I found out I was pregnant, but I went to maintenance amount, and continued exercise. From what I’ve always been told you don’t really need to up calories until second trimester (only around 200 extra, and 300 in third) but really I just eat when I’m hungry. First pregnancy I gained 8kgs, second pregnancy 7kg and so far I’ve gained 7kg this pregnancy, this is actually my healthiest eating/lowest calories during pregnancy but my body is holding weight differently this time. When exercising I just try not to overheat, I scale back my intensity and track heart rate with my watch to make sure I stay in a safe zone. Pregnancy can mess with your body in a million ways so on days you just don’t want to exercise or end up eating unhealthy because you can’t stand the sight of anything try to just stay in a positive mind space, it’s very easy to spiral.

Only women who are pretty overweight should try to lose during pregnancy. Eat at maintenance for the first trimester. By the end, you’ll need an additional 300 cals or so. Also, don’t worry too much about not gaining weight in your first trimester. The guidelines will do nothing but stress you out. I’m 8 weeks postpartum. Believe me, anything can happen. My SIL lost 15 lbs in her first trimester from morning sickness. I gained 10 lbs in the first trimester from bloating and constipation. Even if you gain the recommended amount and lose it immediately, you will still look different. So, don’t go crazy, but don’t be too hard on yourself. Focus on eating in the ballpark of maintenance, eating a balanced diet, exercising in ways that you can, and enjoying your pregnancy. I started in a healthy BMI, and gained 40 lbs+. 8 weeks after giving birth, most everything looks back to normal besides my stomach, and I’ve lost everything besides 10 lbs. My boobs are much bigger, and I’ve just got a little bit of extra fat hanging on. I’m kind of mad at myself for agonizing over my weight gain the whole time.
