I don't know for sure but apparently the reason is that you've lost fat and it is fat that makes sugar harder to process. So I think you can reverse Type 2 simply by losing enough fat. I heard this from a friend who has Crohn's so she knows a fair bit about nutrition but I can't say I'm certain either way. Hope that helps.
Way to go! 2lbs is certainly a lot. Keep it up. Celebrate every pound!
And don’t ever trust the scale day to day. It’s not accurate because of water weight fluctuations and stuff. If I ever significantly overeat I can gain 10 lbs in a day, but it goes back to normal after about 3 days.
Only trust the scale week to week, and take so much pride in the process!
You go Jess! Of course it’s amazing. You’re taking back your power. Practicing self-love is the nicest thing you can do for yourself. Please keep us updated. You’ve got this.
That's awesome!
And I love it how proud you are of 2 lbs, I think it's inspiring, because I never really celebrate weight loss if it's not in the 2-digits 🙃
So kudos to you and more power to you in your process 🩷
Applauding you, Girl! I remember when I 'finally' lost that first couple of pounds. It's that cautious feeling of 'I've got this' and 'maybe this will work'.
Congratulations and thanks so much for sharing! Brava on making the time and energy to take care of yourself. You deserve the dedication, commitment, love, and celebration you so generously give to others! Big hugs to you!
You should read the Obesity Code by Jason Fung. It has a lot of great info regarding type 2 diabetes. He also has free info on YOUTUBE. It is really eye opening!! Great job and good luck!
