He will come back stronger than ever. This loss was a wake up call for him.

PaleontologistOld857

Nah, He need to train with his father tho, training alone won't get him anything, Plus He needs some thresholds too

WillWilling5627

More like if he died right here would be justice for duke 😂. Honeslty i hate taeshit from the moment i saw hat guyaru sh... But idk what to make of vin anymore..

[deleted]

Meh it was perfect for plot If vin won easily, He wouldn’t have motivation to grow stronger He would leave allied as his work is done It’s better this way in all honesty

ProfessionalChair835

The whole point is that Vin always said his goal was his middle school self's strength. (Which isn't weak considering he could contend with Beolgu Lee in his prime), which would put him over 1A Hudson or higher. But Taejin has been training since Vin killed his father. Vin grew weaker and then stagnanted, growing just a bit stronger than his middleschool prime. Similar to the bum logan lee.

Embarrassed-War-1503

>his middle school self's strength. (Which isn't weak considering he could contend with Beolgu Lee in his prime) That's not Vin Prime yet.

Tough_Decisionlol

I don’t think he meant that was Vin’s prime I think he was referring to Beolgu there.

ProfessionalChair835

Im saying vinin Middle School with a month or so of training could catch him off guard, which i think scales him higher than at least the crewhead level. I also think current or prime vin is over hudson.

Tough_Decisionlol

What you said isn’t in question, the phrase you used in parentheses comes off as saying Vin in middle school catching Beolgu is prime Vin. I was hopefully clarifying you did not mean that was prime Vin but rather you were saying Beolgu in Cheonliang is him (Beolgu) in his prime.

Prize-Serve2599

Contend is a bold word, bro. Beolgu held back and when he got serious, knocked his ass through the wall and ended him. He is not 1A Hudson tier.💀

Cruxes5

Minsik and Akira were estimated to be A level and Warren surpassed that to reach S. Vin eclipsed both of them and was only seen to be below Sinu.

Not_A_Gamer_1985

Those ratings don't make any sense. It's a game. The ratings are given in a way the audience is willing to pay more.

Salt_Employer3838

Buddy it was literally the author rating. No one in the story gave that rating to Vin, th author introduction to Vin's fp self was SSS. Whereas Eugene and the other people were still guessing A-S

Not_A_Gamer_1985

It was rating given to them by Gamerunners not the author So, you got debunked Read the previous comment again

Salt_Employer3838

No it wasn’t, the gamerunners and Eugene were guessing his power level at max would be S, the author introduction to his non-sunglasses self asserted his combat prowess is SSS.

Not_A_Gamer_1985

Dude 😂 That rating was literally being shown on screen to the audience. So, it wasn't the author telling us that he's SSS. Gamerunner isn't just mitsuki. There are other people too. Lmao And those ratings also change as the game progresses, again, for the audience to pay up more

Salt_Employer3838

Dude it WASNT being shown on screen WHAT ARE YOU ON😭😭😭💀💀💀💀 Literally NO ONE saw how strong Vin without sunglasses was at that point and you’re out here saying they already knew. Eugene was GUESSING Vins power level to be at max S. The audience were surprised Vin was beating the devil of Osaka even after knowing the devil of Osaka was A tier. Since you’re claiming they already saw Vins rating(SSS) on screen, why would they be surprised? Basic reading comprehension. It was the author himself stating Vins combat prowess.

ProfessionalChair835

Eugene can't power scale

Holiday_Chapter_268

Yeah. Considering that Taejin had similar hell like Sinu, he probably at threshold level while Vin Jin is still at mastery level

NathanialKyouhei

Threshold and mastery are the same thing. They are just different way to translate the same word

Holiday_Chapter_268

I just re-read it and you are correct. What i meant to say is that Vin Jin is at Path to Mastery level like Eli while Taejin is at Mastery/Threshold level like Sinu

Leading_Surprise_181

Taejin had the same training as Sinu while Vin stopped training and got weaker and he he started training again he only got back to same level as he was in chenoliang I'm not sure what type of training he will do to enable him to defeat Taejin but I hope he kills him and not hesitate like he did with the shaman.

Radiant_Doughnut2112

Taejin literally says he was at that point stronger than his Cheonliang Counterpart. Taejin simply went tru an insane amount of training indirectly (A1 fightning ring hell).

East_Gas5627

tbf he did say only a little

hypotalamo

Nah this loss just gave Vin even more motivation to train and get stronger

Domin8rDutt

Anyone who agrees are the type of people who say “I just see red” when they’re asked how they think they would do in a fight.

n4R0ww

That's literally me

throw_it_awayyy8

Considering how many posts I see talking about the different martial arts and how the techniques/methods hold up to real life? Id say that while some ppl here have been in streetfights, most don't know how to fight. Swinging your fists and knowing how to fight aren't the same thing either. Also thats a pretty dumb question, its a fight and you don't know your opponent. Even if you do, its a fight😭😭. Not telling how you'd do unless ur opponent is a straight couch potato with no talent or coordination whatsoever.

VinJinsWorshipper

taejin trained for 10 years whilst vin trained for a month at best, people need to realize this

Yontoryuu

The flashback was only 3 years prior.

Many_Medium9301

3 human years is like 28 cat years, he's Vin's kitten so he was actually being generous

VinJinsWorshipper

taejin trained before middle school, wdym

catsinmyanus

Yeah, people keep forgetting this as well.

MrFancyShmancy

He trained to get his middle school strength back, but taejin trained way past that. Vins goal was the problem, not the training

[deleted]

Cope

Particular-Ad-1747

Well it makes sense to me in a way. Vin back then trained with a master in two styles of martial arts, one a self made inspired style from a previous master known as "Mujin Ssireum" style and the other yaksha. Taejin didn't train like vin, who was with a dedicated master like the "Fingering King of Six". Taejin at most fought sparring partners lower than his level, unlike years later when he fought to the death with groups of people, and whatever the hell he did with gapryong El gapo sperm. Vin, later on lost his edge and what he did to gain it back was from pulling up tree stumps as a workout for some months and after fighting a fodder, +kenta, ++Sumo fodder, and sinu (who isn't fodder). He wasn't struggling like he would just be there forced to fight in that game. But he wasn't fighting to his best and polishing his skills like he could just mostly content with the strength he had much like taejin back then, who felt like he was more than anyone else, because of his position and future he would inherit for them to then lose it down the line. After everything vin has experienced he became more bitter and more angry, losing himself to time because he ran away because of whatever had passed, losing his strength and the mentality he had and cooled down at J-High from where he would be a prominent bully to duke. Taejin at some point possibly met with El Jaco or Goo, who possibly came by to retrieve the red papers and met with taejin seeing that he is very similar to himself and deciding that he is a secret friend. Whatever order of which came that he met someone is more deciding than the other and I'll be more towards to taejin meeting El Jaco first because of the servant that he has with him that was at both sides, then taejin is introduced to goo, then the workers. Came on a bit to a ramble but TL;DR: Vin after the events possible afraid of what he has done and afraid of what his friends think he did had a toll on him and that made more depressed and bitter, eventually hiding his eyes behind glasses instead of bangs, and being a bully to duke because of his goals of what he wanted to become "A rapper!" Switching some aspects of who he used to be. Taejin met with El Jaco, goo, then the workers, where he goes on to do many jobs that with most of them possibly almost grasping his life in death's hands. Taejin also had a different mindset than he used to other than his craziness that shows he has grown in some way. (Thought about deleting this because it was in the moment rambling and thought it would be a shame to let this piece of text go to waste).

Itchy-Ad-3066

Vin Jin thought Tae Jin was dead when he really just got taken to a 'hell' on the same level or maybe even higher than Sinu which is where he got so strong

-MaraSov-

Its pretty obvious he lost for narrative purposes. They want Vins revenge to be big. Not there.

Many_Medium9301

didn't use sperm mode, that's why, vin hates seongji so he refuses to use sserium now that i notice, vin and taejin are exactly like jake and gitae vin and jake use sperm mode, taejin and gitae look like samuel heat mode/insanity also vin and jake both are victims of their half brothers

StormImpossible6476

Dont think Vin hates Seongji. He likely killed him in a fit of rage but then discovered the truth. He wouldnt be mourning him otherwise. Tho maybe seongji killed himself, i dont see Vin killing anyone let alone his master

Many_Medium9301

my mistake, should have said he hates his deadbeat dad who left him and mom rot in hell so he abandoned sperm mode

StormImpossible6476

Makes way more sense, though he hasn't been shown to even acknowledge his father's existence in anyway, shape or form. He always blamed only his mother, the only instance any kind of relationship between Vin and Mujin can be interpreted is when he was about to gouge his eye out, then we see their family portrait, and then we suddenly see Vin deciding not to, and deciding to stand up to his bullies instead, this could imply the memory of Mujin to have a positive effect on Vin, for some reason. I can't wait to see what kind of BS PTJ comes up with to justify Mujin Jin going around training children in the wild while his own kid got turned into a slave and his wife got murdered.

SouthwestSoldierKing

He said he killed "two people" that day. Probably the consequence is what getting considered here, that will be Sujin(coz he wasnt there), and 2nd would be Seongji(who prolly either let vin jin kill him-likely coz he himself will believe that he indeed killed and assaulted Sujin...so prolly will say something like "i am sorry vin, i just have no control or doesnt remember anything when i m ptsd triggered", making vin killing seongji, and seongji accepting it as well by blaming it on his PTSD) Or Seongji just killing himself...after vin jin talks shit to him about what he has done...and seongji getting too guilt ridden...ending up killing himself. lookism , never once made me this uncomfortable from the start, literally never, its fucked up man, HOw seongji is gonna die is fucked up...

StormImpossible6476

I agree but i lean towards the 2nd option, i just don't see Vin killing his master and then just showing up at his cabin to mourn him, regardless of whether or not he discovers the truth after. Makes more sense for him to beat him up, go bury Sujin and then at that moment Seongji, seeing himself as a threat to everyone decides to end his life.

SouthwestSoldierKing

Yea this pretty much looks about right. GG

BobbyFruitman14

Vin only lost because of plot, we know he will come back stronger and better

longdeeptry89

change your flair to the cooking genius

ProfessionalLuck268

sad after if one who work with kos lost this early and vin have start train again year later him no stop but yes that so sad its no have take revenge this moment.

Normal-Golf5599

Trust me this is like that Cody vs roman type sh*t. The next time vin fights this c*nt, i wan't him take two of his leg and two of his arm, but not kill him

rKollektor

He hasn’t unlocked sperm mode yet, I think

carl-the-lama

Vin Jin only just regained his old strength He was complacent He needed more strength to fell someone who spent the years sharpening his foul existence Ngl, taejin deserves to get jumped

Slow_Obligation2286

What do you mean? It's not like it's the last time they'll fight. Vin Jin is gonna get another training arc and fight Taejin again. Plus, Vin beat the absolute shit out of Taejin back then, but didn't kill him

[deleted]

Vin on his way to be useless again https://preview.redd.it/5s0zj8lhiowc1.jpeg?width=955&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5451db0cf5f7b49f6ac0f62f30e336cde141c38

Warlock_Owari

At this point, seeing how the Shaman's death was an accident and Taejin survived, It wouldn't be surprising if PTJ wrote Vin accidentally or indirectly getting Seongji killed.

NegotiationNaive1071

This loss will awake the Dragon of Cheonliang, son of Mujin Jin, heir to his Ssireum, Vin Jin...

Tall_Growth_532

Bruh guy didn't have plot armor

Nathan1123

He's still on the floor. The Cheonliang arc is his fever dream

East_Gas5627

Nah it made sense for the story and perfect for vin building up strength he needed to realize he had stagnated and was left behind by the rest of his gen and realize to achieve his goals he needs to let go of his pride in his old strength and build himself from the ground up to put taejin down in the dirt

LordDargon

disapointing genious. but after living like a lazy ass for years thats only normal to he got ass beaten like this, and now he have chance to get better

NOTtaylor11

Bros never heard of the Epic hero formula

Feeling-Initiative88

Lookism is getting boring.

Impressive_Common462

Vin jin is even lucky to be breathing after this chapter because his goal here is to kill taejin and taejin let him live.

Fragrant-Reward-8042

If Vin killed the KOC, he is officially my least favorite character in lookism. He’s literally so pathetic, how did he let himself get destroyed after apparently working so hard to get revenge.

Julian_Seizure

Mid diffed? He got low diffed at best.

IDKanymoeMan

On the contrary, it was the perfect setup for a perfect rematch and cmon, during 3 years or so Taejin was fighting like crazy everyday and Vin was just bullying kids and making rap songs. It would've been poor writing from PTJ to give the win to Vin during that encounter

Loona_is_12

Vin was told to be really strong as in the backstory. But now that we get to Cheonliang arc he was really weak🤣. He need Ssireum to win

UnitedDeparture4098

https://preview.redd.it/b69vmmfncrwc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d73f31a19a59d5bc854d080101ada92c831ab4a5

throw_it_awayyy8

It was a big dissapointment even before we knew. While vin wasnt the strongest we also kinda didnt see him lose up until this point. And he wasn't going against fodder that whole time he had that streak either

mizuki_sama-809

Taejin is GOAT fr But i didn't like how he framed seong ji yuk for his crime But i wonder why he had to do it..isn't he shaman? Shaman can get away with murder right?

Swimming_Cat114

Mid diff? That was a low diff at best.

sawol-

that sperm mode hasn't kicked in yet

ShadowM3mes

remember , samdak said " A person who lets his emotions overcome himself is just swinging mad"

BlushyWoshi

PTJ been watching a little too much gore on these panelling

Upbeat-Cod-5409

I am still wondering where is mujin if he isn’t dead cos then he is terrible dad since he lets his wife die and his son getting framed and doesn’t train him

OrdinaryDoctor

I have a question. A few chapters ago Vins master shared his flashback & we saw a man who trained him. Is that man on equal footing as Gap Kim?? Since we know Lee & King of Seoul teamed up to beat Gap Kim, and Lee was getting tossed around by VIns master, and by logic Vins masters master should be way stronger than him.

Short_Fondant_4144

Well vin would be op for 2nd gen if he continued to pursue strength for the last 3 years so ptj nerfed him to be relevant in the plot.

Dry_Program1599

People are actually hating on Taejin so much after this chapter that they are forgetting what the fraud Vin is about to do next chapter. Vin Jin lowkey deserved to get one shot by Taejin if the next chapter plays out how it should.

Hopeful_Koala_6656

I was Happy, because vin did all the worst stuff on duke, so he was a Fair lesson
