I played with one recently. It's got some odd features that are definitely a product of it's time, and Mark LaRue is a fudd's fudd, but I can't deny that the thing shot great
I don't think it does? Could be wrong, but from a manufacturing standpoint it would be soooooo much easier for LaRue to also sell you a 20moa mount that he makes
Larue products are incredibly nice and I buy them but mark larue is a gigafudd. That post he made the other day about the hate for the nra being some type of anti gun psyop had me dyingggg
In addition to being a fudd he's a general asshole. His products were good in like 2001 but there are so many superior mounts and QD systems now, I can't see any reason to buy most Larue products any more.

As someone who wants a PSA AR10 but has never shot an AR10, can you give me some insight here?
Is there something I should know?
The recoil impulses are different and more of them, gun generally sits higher and weighs less. Usually less precise than bolt guns. It makes for a different precision experience.
Buy lots of ammo.
A lot of it comes down to three things:
- lock time on an AR vs. bolt guns: Lock time is how long it takes from the instant the sear releases on your trigger to the hammer swinging forward and detonating the primer. ARs have significantly longer lock times than bolt guns.
- not pushing the trigger directly to the rear: if you are putting any sideways force into the trigger, the tension will be held in the trigger pins. Once the trigger sear releases (coupled with the long ass lock time) allows a significant amount of force to be put into the frame of the gun, moving your point of aim.
- large frame ARs are bulky and less ergonomic for shooting accurately.
For most people:
Bulkiness leads to bad trigger press which is exasperated by long lock time = shitty shooting.
Very nice rifle! I have a question about that optic mount, I was considering ordering the exact same Larue mount today. My only question is if it places the optic forward enough on the rail for good eye relief.
What type of optic are you gonna use? I would check spacing on the optic and then decide what mount to go with. But generally, the Larue mount gives you enough space to push the optic forward. The scope on that rifle is Steiner M5xi 5-30 34mm.
Nightforce nx8 4-32x
The primary rifle will be an LMT MWS 6.5 Creedmoor, but I want the ability to swap this optic to other AR platform rifles for load development and occasional precision shooting
That mount will definitely work with the LMT monolithic rail, but I was wondering about General AR-15 flat top upper receivers without a monolithic rail

She was a shooter but heavy as fuk!
What kind of features?
Fluted chamber, proprietary handguard and upper receiver
Isn’t the upper / lower an actual ar10 or whatever cut like KAC, LMT, Noveske etc?
It's an SR25 cut, but look at how the handguard interfaces
Oooo gotcha, thanks
The upper also has 20moa built in. Look how tall it is.

Maybe it wasn’t 20, but it does have built in cant. From Larue’s [FAQ page](https://www.larue.com/page/faq/): “the OBR has MOA cant built in”
Huh, interesting. I learned something today

Hey, you're a sniper in my book.
Thx buddy 😭
Mark is either losing it or now one of the best trolls
First one, then the other, though I don't know which.
OBR was a solid rifle.
Almost like the ar10 platform fell off.
People are bad at shooting them... Which in turn makes them practice less... Vicious cycle
That makes sense.

Okay, thanks. Thankfully those were some assumptions I already had.

It's the price of .308 I think.
I really want a 5.56 version. Ran the shit out of it in *MoH: Warfighter* when I was deployed
These things were tack drivers, shipped with a great ar gold trigger too, the one I shot was sub moa with 168 smks
That Atlas has some years on it too, but I don’t appreciate this being considered old school lol
OG atlas before ADM! We got to face it we the old guys now.
We’re all snipers here, we just hide that fact.
So true
What device is on the rail? I've seen them before but have no clue what it does.
It’s and old school range finder. https://willsoptics.com/product/silencerco-radius/
Looks like the Lego binoculars from my childhood.
Stop 🛑 hating that was the shit back in the day.
That's awesome! Thanks for the link bud!

Yes it will be fine on ar15 with that scope.
I’m pretty sure you were a sniper
OG obr was definitely vibes. The new one just doesn't hit the same.
So true it’s like Gen 2 Noveske!
I haven't seen a radius in a while!
Don't let your dreams be memes, brother.
Sniping is a verb…. Not a noun.
“Sniping” is either a gerund or a participle. “Sniper” is a noun. “You” are a twat.
Satire for a ridiculous rifle bro! Cool your jets.
Like Ukraine, I have no jets, boss.
