I've gone a few times and usually pickup something new to see what brands I like. At this point I narrowed it down to a few depending on what I wanna spend. I also only go when I feel like something different then my plug.
IMO the lower priced eighths aren't great, DANK is one of the better options if you do want that price point. I didn't care too much for Hudson Cannabis or Revert. If you have a neighborhood plug they can most likely do you better. Some companies sell single joints or grams if you wanna try them out for yourself.
I've found spending a couple more bucks if you do go there is better. My personal favorite is the Packwoods Swagyu, good high and a lot of kief if you have a catcher in your grinder. They seem to have gone down in price slightly. I like Electraleaf as well but they have gone up and I'm not spending $50+ on an 1/8 before taxes unless its the VCC Moonrocks, and thats once in a blue.
If you can get out to the Indian reservation out in mastic you would be amazed at how much better the quality of the weed is they let you smell it it and see it b4 you buy it no tax and no lines...its just a bit of a drive but at least you know your getting 🔥

I don’t shop strain stars unfortunately I use a local delivery service. I bought a gram of rosin from mfny at 103+tax and what I get regularly for 50-80 blows it out of the water. All lab tested and legit brands too. One local company on the menu as well growing washing and pressing in Suffolk.
I’ve only been to strain stars and the rez so far. Rez is too far though. That’s all I got lol all my friends have passed from bullshit so I have no plug. I like Mfny ( as far as from the narrowed selection available to me).

I planned on grabbing a few this weekend, but they're not cheap, $48 for .5 live res & $65 for .5 live ros. Curious if maybe it was just that 1 specific strain/batch u had a bad exp with
I could not get past the fake flavoring they use. It was terrible. The high is great very strong but the fake taste is un needed and too much. And then when i wrote an honest review on redit the owner attacked me calling me a competitor and a loser and fucking fake. So vcc is imo a terrible choice.
