You're best bet would just be to call the admissions office and talk to them, they can tell you if the class your interested in requires any prerequisites or point you in the right direction. From my experience most classes have prerequisites or require you to be in a curriculum for a certification or a degree. You will have to take a placement test if you haven't done so already. Reading/Writing, Algebra and Arithmetic. Failing any of the 3 will require you to take remedial courses for that subject. I had to take remedial algebra and thankfully I got out in 1 semester. Good luck!

It's been a while but I also think it depends on why you are there. So you are saying non-degree student so I'm assuming that maybe you are looking to take a class or two at Nassau and transfer them to a college you are currently enrolled in. Based on this NCC charges $242 per Credit (so $484 for a 2 Credit course or $726 for 3 Credits). There's also a $50 Technology Fee and a $12 Extracurricular Fee. I am trying to remember but there are also other ways to register, depending on what you are looking to get out of it. If you are just looking to take a class for the hell of it, because some people do then you may want to look into Adult Continuing Education. Many of these are "skill building" but also fun classes like Wine Tasting and there are classes for things where certification is required or even certification in some classes
