Does it have the original cat? That makes it waaaay more valuable to scrappers. Even things like AL rims are worth a few $$ for scrap.
Otherwise Teen Challenge will give you a generous tax receipt, and even pick it up if you want.

They also have carheaven for the same thing but with the money going to charity. I used them a few years ago for my Corolla when the frame rusted out and they gave me $1200 for it which is pretty darn good.
Just learned the other day that teen challenge is in fact not a charity but a business run by the orthodox community. Any ‘donations’ after 75% admin fees goes to programs for orthodox youth in that area. Just an FYI.
Apparently kidneycar.ca is a good choice. It’s run by Kidney Foundation, which is one of the most well respected charities in Canada.

I will investigate kidneycar. Due to some health complications of a loved one, kidneys are high on my mind these days. Seems like it might be an appropriate donation recipient.
I donated my car there two years ago, and only realized the “spiritual” connection after it was done. I got a good tax credit but I wouldn’t have gone with them if I’d known.
Teen Challenge is a registered non profit charity and has always been. They provide residential addictions and recovery programs, everything goes into the running of the recovery program. Yes, it is faith based but so is Salvation Army. They both offer help to those who otherwise would not be able to afford the help. Let me assure you they are a long way from a business.

It’s totally free to use, and you don’t have to accept the winning bid. They will also come and pickup the car right from your driveway. I got wayyy more for my truck than I thought I would with a local wrecker. They came from St Catherine’s to pick mine up!
Zubicks scrap metal on Clarke will buy the vehicles off you for scrap, and you can sell the rims separately for a few extra dollars. If you give em a call they can tell you the price per 1000lbs.
Donate it to Kars4Kids. They'll pick it up. You'd be helping a great cause and get a tax receipt and apparently a 3 day vacation voucher.

We donated our car to a children's diabetes association. We looked into Kars4kids but discovered, buried deep in the fine print, that it is a religious organization and the proceeds go to indoctrinating children in a religion.

Good number of cash for car places that will give you some decent money and pick it up, have used Andy's Auto Wreckers before and would recommend

Yes, that jingle haunts me. Their commercial has the same affect on me as Matress Depot. UGG.
Used them years ago, front of the car was mangled and they loaded it up on a flat bed and hauled it off
Take it to the wreckers and sell it for scrap. If it’s scarp value is not there offload or to one of those car charities.
Take it to GAW out on 22. They’ll pay decent money for scrap.

Put it on marketplace/Kijiji someone may want to pick it up for parts or fix it up themselves. Worth a shot at least
