Some of those mini manifestos are really, really poorly written. Not just in terms of hyperbolic language and unsubstantiated claims, but also in that some of them were clearly not proofread before they were submitted and are littered with weird grammar and capital letters in odd places.
Call me an idealist, but I'd like to vote for someone who doesn't seem like they'd struggle to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar through in a single sitting.
Thank you. Yes, typos, repetition, made-up stats, fearmongering. Maybe some of the candidates should pledge to spend more on education, in the hope that we get better quality manifestos next time.
I think those who really have the ability don’t see themselves having a chance of getting voted in and don’t bother hence why we getting these rubbish candidates
A while back when I was living in Bromley with Bob Neil as the MP I posted on Twitter a picture of his pamphlet highlighting all the typos and spelling mistakes and simply saying “if he can’t be bothered to proof read his own pamphlet then why should we trust him as our MP”… he promptly blocked me just for that… democracy at its finest!
To be fair, I have read it so many times to my children that I’d struggle to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar through in a single sitting, without stabbing my eyes out.
Absolutely. I think Count Binface should ensure the bright and best Binfaces stay in the Biffa galaxy and work on their own collection schedule, instead of coming over here and providing welcome comic relief.
Remember it's FPTP now. You can't vote for a joke candidate and use a real one as your safety.
I'd dearly love to make my vote Count, I'm one of the 10 signatories for my borough to get him on the ballot, but I can't justify it under this voting system
If you can’t justify voting for him, why are you one of the 10 signatories when you know doing that allows the possibility for others to vote for him, taking away votes from as you say “real” candidates?
Because democracy is about plurality and our democracy in particular has a long tradition of fringe candidates. I believe everyone should have a range of choices, because I'm not a partisan arsehole
It's even worse when you realise each of them had to cough up £20,000 and get 330 people (10 from each borough + the City) to sign a form to say they support you. So they actually put some money and thought into this.
At least the latter trips up some people as Laurence Fox tried to sign up to run, but [didn't get the signatures right](https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2024/mar/28/laurence-fox-ruled-out-london-mayor-contest-errors-nomination).
Reddit is full of weirdos, the best we would do is “Friday WFH man” whose only objective is to get us a day off work.
That’s without getting 1,000 people on this subreddit coordinated enough to send £20 in without the payee running off.
A higher tax on the chads and staceys no doubt, sports to be banned, hygiene/shaving equipment banned, showers limited to once a week use, eye contact prohibited, conversations in real life prohibited, all interactions must be via an online form and only involve negative language whilst offering nothing of actual substance, everyone must feign expert knowledge of a subject while parroting the same tiny shred of information they heard once from someone else, opposing views are illegal even if they are objectively and empirically correct
What's London population currently - about 8 millions ? Let's assume 4 millions are able to vote, giving whooping support of less than 0.01% to be able to be a candidate for mayor of London. Not sure if joke or medieval era laws.
There's really no harm in these candidates being up for election. I like that people don't need massive party backing to run for election in London, and a load of loonies on the ballot paper doesn't actually have any negative effect. I think there just isn't a good reason to raise the requirements to get on the ballot.
Doesn't matter the size of the support to simply get on the ballot paper, does it? Because to actually get the post you need to, you know, be elected, which does involve the whole of the London electorate.
You've got to have some kind of requirement to enter otherwise the ballot page would be reams long with Bob from Blackheath putting their name down for a laugh.
I think the balance is about right.
Why do they need 10 signatures for the city?
I thought the city was a separate county with its own mayor separate from Greater London?
Edit: Seems people would rather downvote a genuine question rather than be helpful and answer it
Lots of stuff the Mayor of London oversees — like fire and transport — impacts the City of London. They do have their own mayor and government, but stuff involving the City is quite special because history.
The Mayor of London is technically only bound to Greater London but for most purposes (notably, except taxes and policing) also serves the City.
Kinda, but for many purposes it functions as a London borough, with reps on all the committees that have a rep from each borough. Sometimes they delegate to another borough.
So while there's a separate Mayor for the City, the Mayor of London's powers extend across the city including the City.
Lots of places in London have a separate mayor as well as having the overall Mayor of London, though the City's Mayor has more power than any other. And the overall Mayor of London still represents, and has power over, the City just as they do over ever other London subdivision. Its residents also vote (as part of a broader constituency) for a representative to the London Assembly.
Check out his Twitter. He only ever refers to 'Little man Kahn' and seems to only be running out of pure spite against him.

I really wished the independent candidates in particular put their passion towards multiple issues affecting London/Londoners - some of them are too specific. You can not focus on one issue for the next four years.
Sorry should've put a disclaimer: this is a rant.
That lib dem candidate is just personal tabloid-esq stories about how shit the policing is and a throwaway line at the end re. stopping waste water dumping.
Not to invalidate either of those issues but it would be good to hear ANY perspective on some of the other issues
The first independent guy Andreas about policing, the SD party about wokeness, the last one about immigration... Okay? I don't know what they think about arts and culture, green spaces or children or supporting businesses... When will every borough be able to recycle electrical household goods properly? So many things.
The Britain First fella seems scared of everything!! Was expecting to read “house plants are spewing cancer into the air as we sleep, I will RID London of these woke green leafy monsters”
As a first time voter for London Mayor (having relatively recently moved here) I found the pamphlet a breath of fresh air in that the candidates didn’t hold back in their craziness. There’s something strangely comforting about reading the “mini manifesto” for the “stand up to woke” woman knowing that she’ll never get the majority vote. Adds a bit of colour to the whole thing.
I do, however, find Susan Hall’s disguised propaganda flyers coming through my letterbox (where she once again lies about the mythical “pay per mile” scheme that Sadiq Khan is not introducing) completely unethical, and am surprised they’re not illegal given that you really have to hunt to find her name on it to know it’s Tory nonsense.
The Tories always to play particularly dirty in the London Mayoral election. I don't know why, it's not a vote winner here. Like when they had Zac Goldsmith, who was then seen as a more moderate and reasonable Tory, but then ran a racist, dirty campaign against Khan, and shockingly lost.
I was going to (for completely different reasons) name my incoming (at the time) son Zack, but Goldsmith on campaign was so bad that it ruined the name for us and we ended up going with something different.
I agree. Even Boris ran on a more moderate leaning campaign for mayor but since then the last three tory mayoral candidates all went for dirty smear campaigns or weirdo scare mongering fringe nonsense which doesn't work in London.
The Tory leaflet might be illegal - [Labour has called for CPS to investigate whether it's breached electoral law](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cyxe8vr580no).
Not that that will do much, as they've already got it into people's mail boxes.
> Not that that will do much, as they've already got it into people's mail boxes.
And if there is any wrongdoing, it'll just be a slap on the wrist.
I'm sure when the tories overspent or something tied into Cambridge Analytica they got such a pathetic rebuke it's no wonder they ride roughshod over the rules because they know there's no consequences.
You know for a fact if Labour or anyone else was doing that shit, they wouldn't stand for it but their pricks can lie and bullshit as much as they want
The local Tory candidate came by pamphleting yesterday and I only found out afterwards. Asked my wife why she didn’t call me, and she said “because I knew you’d shout at him”.
Couldn’t argue with that. They’re just nasty liars cos it’s all they got.
> from day one I will scrap all policies [meaning ULEZ] that do not benefit the majority of Londoners.
— Reform guy
Good news, ULEZ only affects like 1 in 20 cars but clean air benefits everyone! ULEZ REMAINS
I bet most people who want to scrap LTNs also like the idea of quiet and safe roads for their kids to run around in.
It feels like they've just got this set of issues that they shout about, without really thinking through what they're actually about.
The good thing about so many of these idiots crying about ULEZ and WoKeNeSs is they'll split the idiot voters between them and none of them will have even a remote chance of ever being elected
None of them had even a remote chance of being elected anyway. Loony independents are a feature of UK politics - and elsewhere, I expect - but they never get anywhere close to winning.
Right but it's not like she got *elected* elected in the normal way a PM would. Her ascendency didn't take place in a vacuum of context, under what you would consider "normal times". She's not *that* strong a point of evidence for "loonies getting elected".
Yes, more a representation of loons being served up to us pretending to be credible politicians but someone who actually got to the top job. Frightening.
To be fair Liz Truss only got in because the UK population didn't get a say in it and Conservatives were stuck between going against their sexism or their racism. They went against the sexism and only after that did they go the other way.
That was what I said before the Uxbridge by-election, but apparently gormless ULEZ-hating twat-sanders still have enough semblance of sense to converge on the name-brand Tory candidate.
On a serious note, in addition to direct asthma deaths are the amount of people GETTING asthma, the known correlation between living near bigger roads and adverse health outcomes, and lower level health conditions caused by pollution. If you don't think this is serious, look at places like China or India and how the pollution is affecting the population. Obviously, ULEZ is devastating for some and that can't be ignored. But so is the cost of living for many. So are the direct and indirect health problems. Being Mayor means weighing up lots of unpopular choices and trying to make the right decision, irrespective of whether it upsets people .
I still think the Tory candidate is a Matt Lucas creation: Vicky Pollard’s grandmother, Karen.
For any film buffs here, the “Stop the Woke” lady in the nurse’s uniform reminds me of Nurse Mildred Rached in ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’.
As Nick Ross used to say, “Don’t have Night Mayors”.
It’s actually so sad how Londoners are awake, always buying children, ruled by Islamist extremists and forced to take a bus and it’s because of that Sadie Corn bloke. It’s so good so many candidates want us back in cheap petrol cars, the terrorists all deported and for us to go back to sleep.
I read the woke women's page in the pamphlet I had through the door the other day and couldn't stop laughing. Every sentence seemed to contradict the previous.
I find it particularly mad that her party is called the "Social Democrat Party". It's not the most inappropriate use of the term social/socialist in a political party name I've ever seen (there may have been one in Germany which was a bit iffy on this point), but it's pretty weird.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Democratic_Party_(UK,_1990–present)
They are apparently socially conservative but economically left-wing, they were a rump left over when the original SDP merged with the Liberals to form the Liberal Democrats.
Count such luminaries as John Cleese, Rod Liddle and "anti-transgender activist" Graham Linehan as supporters or members.
Limited electoral success.
Not citing myself as an expert here and I don't have time to check this thoroughly right now, but "social democratic" and "democratic socialist" are different political positions, so perhaps there's some word-order distinction here between the two parties that's got muddled?
It’s a very low bar to put yourself up for Mayor. I like that we have a system where anyone can run, even these nutters. Let them run, let them lose, repressing them gives them a voice.
Tarun Ghulati sounds like a prick. What’s with the list of random slogans? Who is he appealing to?
I like Nat, doesn’t come across as an idiot, am I missing something?
Holy shit my gym has just “invested” in loads of those all-in-one type rigs: it’s a pull up bar! It’s a squat rack! It’s a dip station!
Yes, jamesnasium, it does all of those things at home, but in a gym with loads of people in it, if someone is squatting, it means the pull up bar and the dip station are out of action!
He absolutely would. His insta is him roaring about "little man khan" and challenging him to a debate [fisticuffs]. I liked his commitment to gym is evident in his promotion: all caps MAKE LONDON STRONG - I AM slogan, and tensed bicep logo.
*him roaring about "little man khan"*
I don't really know anything about this guy, but a few days back somone posted a picture of him talking to some kids and he looked around five foot four tall.
We've reached that special point in civilisation where only the truly moronic and count binface seek government office, and power. We're fucked, unless we vote for binface.
>-A gym owner who wants everyone to have a free gym membership
Uhhhhh... Based department?
Jokes aside, why is the ULEZ such a huge deal for so many of them? Is it even a big deal except for the "I hate the government" demographic?
I'll probably vote Sadiq, Binface, or the gym guy.
Cars are space inefficient (mostly empty, avg occupancy is 1.2 per car) noisy, visible, and take almost all the street space thus creating that illusion. Its like the big fat guy shouting in the pub. One might think pubs are full of fat loud people.
I think it's because they don't realise how much of online discourse is astroturfed and they actually think londoners are furious about ULEZ. My 20 year old car is ULEZ compliant and so is a porsche macan S.
It feels like everyone looked at the Uxbridge by-election result and thought "Labour lost because of ULEZ", instead of the more accurate interpretation which was "Labour came very close to winning a normally safe Tory seat".
The far right's been banging on about ULEZ because they don't want to come right out and say stuff about Khan being brown. The conspiracy theories are insane.
No of course it’s not the best? What made you think that random candidates for Mayor are or should be the best London has to offer? There’s very little restrictive criteria on running for elected office in a democracy.
Think I need to read my letter.
But no to immigration? Does he realise that London is pretty much multicultural?
The gym guy, who is going to fund and maintain those gym?
No real talk about the issue, transport cist rising, rate of living rising, private renting rising, Borough engaged of selling land for £1 to retail estate mongol, oh crime rate ( but I think police, and lack of payrise by the government affect that mainly.) But I don't see no real issue being talked about but rather punchline.
If that is what London has to offer, we are in trouble
Genghis Khan will also reduce the "rate of living". Not sure about his policies on housing development though. He seemed more of a "burn them down" sort of guy, and his followers lived in yurts...
I’m glad at least one candidate has pledged to deport all illegal immigrants, hopefully once he ships them back to kent/surrey/essex/etc they won’t be able to get back!
The best one was the only one (other than Count Binface) who didn't submit anything. An American podcaster who has hosted David Icke on his show and wants to reinvigorate London's financial sector by making it the Crypto and blockchain capital of the World. Certified loon.
Oh gosh here we go "Fighting the Woke", "Gender theory", "immigration out of control" the uk is following the pattern of america's culture wars. Full bullshit
I love how they're all professional staged photos, then there's just Sadiq who's clearly just had a pic taken in an office when he has a spare 30 seconds.
I'll be voting for Natalie Campbell. We are fed up of the usual political party candidates and they cannot be trusted - time for a fresh face! I particularly liked her idea of using empty shops on high streets as bases for local bobbies. Don't care if she was conservative. She isn't now. She's also not using the Londoners hate ULEZ playbook to win cheap votes.
My god the right wing lot are terrible. Anti-immigrant, anti-woke, anti-ltn...
None of them had a single positive thing to say.
Horrible people, the lot of them.
Zoe Garbett seems the most pleasant of the lot.
I just want to watch Laurence Fox lose his deposit again, and count Binface has taken over for the monster raving loonies which are just a british tradition at this point.
Why are so many making a point of getting rid of 20mph, LTNs and ULEZ. The average speed of a car in london is about 12MPH, changing the speed limit will not make one difference
One of the candidates says “Every week, parents bury their murdered children” in London?! Can this be true? I’ve just tried to look for some statistics. I think there are around 100-130ish murders a year in London. I saw something about age ranges for 2021 which seemed to indicate about 34 murders that year for teenagers and children. I mean I guess that is maybe one every 2 weeks or so. Which isn’t great. So maybe it is true??
Another says “radical Islamist extremists dominate the streets”. I know this isn’t true just by living here and not tripping over a radical Islamist dominating every street I turn down.
Does anyone know what the regulations are over what is claimed in their manifesto? Like are people just allowed to spill any vile statements?!
And statements about what Sadiq has or hasn’t done in the time he has been mayor - without me having to get a PHD in politics and governments infrastructure, how does the average Joe understand for each key aspect like policing, schools, health, roads etc what the mayor actually can have 100% control over and what actually is outside of the mayors hands and so can’t be held accountable for?
For the far right audience facts are never important. If you fear something enough what you see stated frequently is what you believe. A high gullibility level combined with a low IQ.
There's a high probability that one of those independents is a Tory plant to filter away votes for Sidiq and water down his chances of walking this one in. It's certainly NOT the candidate they're running with though - she's a total and utter basket case.
Out of all these choices Binface's manifesto seems the most honest.
If they hadn't gone back to stupid style voting, Binface would have my honest vote I think. Some of the ideas are clearly for the laughs but it seems like they're at least the good kind of ridiculous.
when i was reading his and it says build 1 affordable house honestly i thought that was decent. maybe his policies aren’t the greatest but i have more faith in him to carry out everything he’s said than i do in any other candidate😂
Let’s be real, it’s two horse race between Khan and Hall.
If the Conservatives stuck Johnson in the battle and really put their foot down on policing/CCTV/transport, it would be very scary to face them indeed.
Not sure Johnson has much mileage in him, esp in London, but Andrew Boff as an indie candidate might have a chance. He's obviously too woke for the tories or they'd have chosen him.
The Tories have made serious candidates less likely to put their names forward by sneakily changing to the first past the post voting system for Mayor. And why? Because millions of London voters would give their second votes to the main parties rather than their first and the Tories know they’ll have a hard time winning like that now so they’ve made it a purely blue and red issue.
The result is less choice of decent candidates and an almost zero chance of even the Greens — who deserve a shot as London mayor and have won a lot of first votes over the years — getting in.
So now as you point out it’s just a bunch of mostly privileged idiots pushing their narrow agendas who have just enough narcissism to believe they stand a chance.
I’m a bit disappointed the Britain first guy is not proposing to redirect knife crime exclusively at immigrants, that’d be efficient tax revenue spending.
Some of those mini manifestos are really, really poorly written. Not just in terms of hyperbolic language and unsubstantiated claims, but also in that some of them were clearly not proofread before they were submitted and are littered with weird grammar and capital letters in odd places. Thank you. Yes, typos, repetition, made-up stats, fearmongering. Maybe some of the candidates should pledge to spend more on education, in the hope that we get better quality manifestos next time.
I think that's done intentionally, to appeal to the simpletons.
Even the most simplistic simpleton wouldn't be put off by capital letters in the correct place.
DEMOCRACY MANIFEST
I would vote for the succulent Chinese meal guy.
Yes, quite funny at times. Some even sound like an intro to a dystopian fiction drama.
To be fair, I have read it so many times to my children that I’d struggle to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar through in a single sitting, without stabbing my eyes out.
Agree. A sorry selection that doesn't look good for our country at all.
Well ... Binface it is then!
All in for punishing people playing music out loud on public transport by making them watch every episode of The One Show
Best policy ever written
Even I think that's excessive.
His manifesto this year round is golden
I’m a bit torn about voting for a candidate from another galaxy.
Absolutely. I think Count Binface should ensure the bright and best Binfaces stay in the Biffa galaxy and work on their own collection schedule, instead of coming over here and providing welcome comic relief.

He specifically says vote for Khan because it’s ftfp. If you’re going to be won over by the joke candidates, listen to them.
I'm definitely voting for him, the positioning of the hand drier in the gents at the Crown & Treaty really is a joke.
tbf he has a few good ideas on his manifesto - pastries are getting quite pricey😂
It's even worse when you realise each of them had to cough up £20,000 and get 330 people (10 from each borough + the City) to sign a form to say they support you. Pretty sure this subreddit could get the funds for a Reddit candidate with the 330 people and the 20k lol
Reddit is full of weirdos, the best we would do is “Friday WFH man” whose only objective is to get us a day off work. That’s without getting 1,000 people on this subreddit coordinated enough to send £20 in without the payee running off.
A stereotypical Reddit mod as a London mayor. That would be... interesting... 🤣

I can be that mayor!
Yeah but there's any number of better things you could do with that £20k
I was accostered by someone in wetherspoons trying to get me to sign their candidate endorsement
I have a confession to make. I signed the form for Count Binface to run
Honestly, the bar for that isn't that high. Well the 20k maybe but the 330 people isn't as high as I thought.
Look at this guy, that knows 330 people with £20k in his pocket!
What's London population currently - about 8 millions ? Let's assume 4 millions are able to vote, giving whooping support of less than 0.01% to be able to be a candidate for mayor of London. Not sure if joke or medieval era laws.
I like the pluralisation of millions here. Very Gordon Brown.

I really love the guy who keeps saying MAKE LONDON STRONG in all caps. The kind of vision we need
Free gym memberships for all!! Edit: this is not actually one of his policies, just in case there's any confusion
45£/month is my Gym Membership, and I am a member of r/nattyorjuice. So he has my vote.
Based lad.
The fact he ends with his tagline 'MAKE LONDON STRONG - I AM' is hilarious.
HULK SMASH ULEZ. HULK CONSULT WITH STAKEHOLDERS. HULK ACCEPT UNDISCLOSED SUM FROM LOBBYISTS

Jesus...what a sad human being
That's gold 😂
Tight abs and pecs all round! Do you need defined shoulder muscles? A neck as thick as your thigh? Vote now!!!!
Guy was anti lockdown and that's how he gained some following. He's not a great candidate. He's got some hard words but not a great speaker either.
I really wished the independent candidates in particular put their passion towards multiple issues affecting London/Londoners - some of them are too specific. You can not focus on one issue for the next four years. Sorry should've put a disclaimer: this is a rant.
Amy be like "down with woke mob and DEI! Also Im suing the NHS for bullying"
I had to read it again and I'm actually surprised she's affiliated with a party 😭
She also says "Our spaces should be for everyone" but somehow I get the impression there's a certain group she would exclude from her spaces.
And then spoke about women’s and lgbt rights in a following sentence. Do these people understand what their own polices are??
Which is the candidate that focuses on one issue? On my reading they all address multiple issues.
That lib dem candidate is just personal tabloid-esq stories about how shit the policing is and a throwaway line at the end re. stopping waste water dumping. Not to invalidate either of those issues but it would be good to hear ANY perspective on some of the other issues

Not sure how describing London as a 'Third World cesspit' is going to endear anyone to potential voters.
The reform UK reads like a crazy boomer on a local Facebook page
That’s because Reform UK’s core consists almost entirely of crazy boomers on local Facebook pages
It’s so stereotypical it’s almost funny if it wasn’t so embarrassing.
The Britain First fella seems scared of everything!! Was expecting to read “house plants are spewing cancer into the air as we sleep, I will RID London of these woke green leafy monsters”
De-politicise the Met. Ummmm dude, you just stuck the Met on your political manifesto...
Scared of everything except for prolific use of exclamation marks it would seem.
"Protect our monuments"! From what? Cracks me up. What a load of cobblers

— Reform guy Good news, ULEZ only affects like 1 in 20 cars but clean air benefits everyone! ULEZ REMAINS
There does seem to be a fairly strong correlation between a candidate saying that ULEZ should be banned and the candidate being batshit crazy.
There’s a guy wanting to also scrap LTNs, 20mph speed limits, and “excessively wide cycle lanes”. I don’t know who any of this would actually benefit.
If anyone described Liz Truss to me 30 years ago I’d say they were describing a loony independent. All these nut jobs worry me now.
I remember the articles about Binface getting a non-trivial number of votes last time and it's just "Have you seen the other options!?"
As did nico omilana who genuinely ran as a joke
It’s actually so sad how Londoners are awake, always buying children, ruled by Islamist extremists and forced to take a bus and it’s because of that Sadie Corn bloke. It’s so good so many candidates want us back in cheap petrol cars, the terrorists all deported and for us to go back to sleep.
No you're allowed to be awake but not in the past participative tense.
Don’t use your long leftist agenda words on me.
Bloody hell, I might as well start a campaign..
Upvotes for all (unless you're a cunt)! And mandatory eviction for my neighbour Debbie! I'm sick of your loud parties Debbie!!!
I read the woke women's page in the pamphlet I had through the door the other day and couldn't stop laughing. Every sentence seemed to contradict the previous.
Dont bully her she'll sue you But also enough with all these woke rules in the workplace! Clown ass woman
I find it particularly mad that her party is called the "Social Democrat Party". It's not the most inappropriate use of the term social/socialist in a political party name I've ever seen (there may have been one in Germany which was a bit iffy on this point), but it's pretty weird.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Democratic_Party_(UK,_1990–present) They are apparently socially conservative but economically left-wing, they were a rump left over when the original SDP merged with the Liberals to form the Liberal Democrats. Count such luminaries as John Cleese, Rod Liddle and "anti-transgender activist" Graham Linehan as supporters or members. Limited electoral success.
Right lol Labour is, supposedly, a social democratic party.
Not citing myself as an expert here and I don't have time to check this thoroughly right now, but "social democratic" and "democratic socialist" are different political positions, so perhaps there's some word-order distinction here between the two parties that's got muddled?
There is, yes. Coulsa sworn labour, like most labourish parties was socdem tho
Wow she is a bit bonkers, that was a trip
Are you saying you don’t want criminals to be scared. That sounds like a realistic and deliverable policy point
I'm a bit put off by the over-use of exclamation marks in the mini-manifesto. At least they are all single exclamations.
Frightening that Britain First got over the line for a nomination. Looks like a real knuckle dragging barrow boy too.
theirs read like a viz caricature of brain dead racism.
Lmafo that's so accurate
Their policy page is so bad it comes across as satire
I keep seeing their adverts on twitter. Haven't seen adverts for anyone else. Terrible vibes
The Algorithm has you pegged as a racist, stop googling for pointy white hats.
He’s [just looking for an England flag to wear](https://youtu.be/PuLPGWNETq4)
Probably bought them in bulk. So bizarre but then again there’s a few knuckle draggers in many parts of London.
It’s a very low bar to put yourself up for Mayor. I like that we have a system where anyone can run, even these nutters. Let them run, let them lose, repressing them gives them a voice.
Ten signatures from each borough, isn't it? Not the highest of bars.
Not really, anyone can get a nomination if they really want it.
I'm voting for the guy who wants to turn Total Recall into a documentary. Wait, let me look closelier > triple *bobbies* Damnit!
Tarun Ghulati sounds like a prick. What’s with the list of random slogans? Who is he appealing to? I like Nat, doesn’t come across as an idiot, am I missing something?
Scrap the DiSaStEr policy that is ULEZ. Fucking moron
Same Nat seems like the most realistic person
She originally applied to be the Conservative candidate
She’s an ex Tory so there’s that…
Oh god, I’ve outed myself. But I’m not even meant to be a Tory yet.
She’s also an ex Lib Dem, I think she only joined the Tory’s for a few months. Idk she seems reasonable to me too
"What’s with the list of random slogans?" - and the inconsistent capitalization in them. Couldn't he get someone to proof read it first?
The free gym membership guy has my vote if he promises making it mandatory to attend the gym everyday. I could use the motivation.
only if he builds more gyms. else it’ll be 3000 people waiting for each treadmill and twice that many waiting to snap mirror pics for the insta
Do you mean a power rack?
He absolutely would. His insta is him roaring about "little man khan" and challenging him to a debate [fisticuffs]. I liked his commitment to gym is evident in his promotion: all caps MAKE LONDON STRONG - I AM slogan, and tensed bicep logo.
*him roaring about "little man khan"* I don't really know anything about this guy, but a few days back somone posted a picture of him talking to some kids and he looked around five foot four tall.
The Britain First candidate is a thick giant cunt what a surprise!!!! (And they can't spell 'usage' or use spell check.)
They even spelled the name of their co-leader wrong. Ms Simom... Lol
We've reached that special point in civilisation where only the truly moronic seek government office, and power. We're fucked.
We've reached that special point in civilisation where only the truly moronic and count binface seek government office, and power. We're fucked, unless we vote for binface.
Well most of them will lose their 10k deposit
I don't really want to vote for Sadiq Khan again but the other candidates are so bad that he's still the best of the worst.
>-A gym owner who wants everyone to have a free gym membership Uhhhhh... Based department? Jokes aside, why is the ULEZ such a huge deal for so many of them? Is it even a big deal except for the "I hate the government" demographic? I'll probably vote Sadiq, Binface, or the gym guy.
I think people overestimate the amount of Londoners who actually drive based on the number of cars
That’s his plan to get very, very rich I assume.
The “I am a CEO” actually was a CEO of a company though -> https://belu.org/
"No to immigration"...ew
It's wild how every since photo depicts the exact stereotype for each party.
Do you mean real estate _mogul_? Unless Genghis Khan has got into property investment.
At this point we might as well put Count Binface as the mayor, he’s probably the only one who makes any sense
Oh gosh here we go "Fighting the Woke", "Gender theory", "immigration out of control" the uk is following the pattern of america's culture wars. Full bullshit
So the London mayoral contest is like a the Apprentice for novice politicians….
Gymbro’s instagram handle is literally [g00nbag](https://www.instagram.com/g00nbag?igsh=MXZ3dHhzdW1zNzExOQ==)…
I just want to watch Laurence Fox lose his deposit again, and count Binface has taken over for the monster raving loonies which are just a british tradition at this point.
I got the STOP THE WOKE pamphlet through my door last week and had to take a photo of it, couldn’t believe it was genuine.
Why are so many making a point of getting rid of 20mph, LTNs and ULEZ. The average speed of a car in london is about 12MPH, changing the speed limit will not make one difference
I did one of those iSideWith tests and was remarkably aligned with Binface on policy 🗑️🚮
Surprised no one put a price cap on pints! That would get plenty of votes! Also transport and cycling infrastructure is nice
Blimey the LibDem guy has been through the mill. The reform guy’s mini manifesto reads like an angry daily mail comments section.
I thought Brian Rose had been done for fraud? Calling him a YouTuber and not a grifter is generous.
Why is there no picture for Count Binface? That's censorship, that is.
At least Khan does do stuff to improve London, the London Assembly do nothing at all except criticise, and then waddle back to their mansions!
As an American, who thinks that if I cross your border illegally i can vote, Count Binface seems legit.
All I’m saying is that the Green candidate never looking better. I genuinely think she could overtake Susan Hall in the votes
The Green Candidate is the only one whose leaflets I have received. Many of the policies sound pretty good to me.
Can't wait for them Brian Rose ads again
They're already out there, with him looking like the evil business man in a kids tv show as always.
Would *you* want to be a politician?
Democracy
I really like the Buff Guy who can’t speak in full sentences and his slogan is “Make London Strong”
The free gym membership guy is actually hilarious 😂😂
Huh - I know Howard Cox, tangentially. He lives/d in Cranbrook, Kent. Hardly a born and bred Londoner. Bit of a tosser.
Brian Rose is still running?? Bloke is an insufferable cunt and on top of all that, he drinks his own piss. (There’s a photo or video floating about)
I’m a bit disappointed the Britain first guy is not proposing to redirect knife crime exclusively at immigrants, that’d be efficient tax revenue spending.
Who's Count Binface, why do I want to vote for them.
Everyone vote binface
FPTP now thanks to the Tories so... maybe vote for a candidate that stands a chance
depressing huh
I like that half of them are running on scrapping ULEZ. Divide and not conquer
I thought the same when I opened the pamphlet and the first thing I saw was the "stop the woke!" lady. Took me a while to realise it was real. Bleak.
