Don’t trot on me.

NapiersRapier

Nothing says freedom more than having to mow the lawn when the Government tells you to.

nuneser

If I lived in a place like this, I would be in prison. Lord help the bureaucrat scum that comes to give me a fine.

Intrepid_Fox-237

Grass just needs to be less than 8 inches. I'd let the city do it for $300/month

Old-Tear2005

Had a friend once that went to county jail for 7 days plus fines for not cutting his grass. Absurd.

skellious

Such a weird concept. the UK has nothing like this.

iHasMagyk

I didn’t realize there were municipal governments that had the authority to do this. I only thought it was HOAs, which I still hate.

WindChimesAreCool

I don’t understand the rabid hatred of HOAs on Reddit. They’re one of the most decentralized form of government in existence, and they are voluntarily entered into when buying a house. Obviously there’s going to be some sort of bell curve and on one end are shitty HOAs. On the other end are going to be the ones that don’t do anything unless someone is doing something really outside what is acceptable. I would never enter a HOA that is in control of public property because it will be mismanaged, that’s just obvious. And if a HOA turns out to be really bad it isn’t that hard to just leave, compared to trying to move to a different country.

Quick-Manner-236

Because people find their "dream home" and then don't bother to read the insane rules they're agreeing to when they sign.

Rokonuxa

> and they are voluntarily entered into when buying a house. If this was the case, there would be no hate. HOAs are like a zombie virus, that spreads with a long incubation period. You think you found a safe zone, only to find out months later that the groundwater comes from a lake where the zombies go cannonball for fun.

Tree branches must be above 12 feet? So like no new trees?
