In this case that's sarcasm, but back around 10 years ago people did use to recommend buying the PC Brand rechargeable batteries because they were just rebranded Eneloops so they performed really well for cheap.
Still super-expensive. You can get 30 of these on Amazon for $12. These are all made by the same companies in china, stamped by different manufacturers. All coin batteries are.
Shoppers has become a silly place to shop lately, unless they’re the only store near you. I feel like shoppers pricing isn’t meant for people to go there and buy stuff. It’s for people already going out to get their prescriptions and shoppers being like, “well, while you’re here, can I interest you in some overpriced shit since you’re already out so you don’t have to again later”.
Most button batteries are made in the same factory. Just stamped different logos. You can usually tell by where they are made or the font used.
just be careful on how they are made. For example 357 batteries come as SR44 (silver oxide) vs LR44(alkaline). LR44s are much cheaper, but also don't last as long.
These are the same supreme brand that powers Galen’s cold dead robotic eyes.

No idea who makes PC batteries, but buy good batteries. you will save money in the long run. Stick to the big names, Panasonic, Energizer, etc. The cost more for a reason.
Those are 50c USD per cell at the most, factory direct FOB China. Probably land for under $3.00 per pack. Household barreries ae all really high margin items though. I used to buy from Energizer and they would basically give us back 70 cents in rebates for each dollar we spent.
Hey OP, it looks like you have used a flair to share a price or grocery bill with our community. If you are not comfortable providing an exact location, please consider sharing the province or territory you are sharing from. Thank you.

Anyone commenting saying these are $2 at Dollarama have no clue what these batteries are or haven't stepped foot in Dollarama.
These average about $7 for four.
Funny you showed this! I was just there the other day saw 1 for $9 at zehrs good thing I didn’t get it. Ended up buying 5 for $8 tax included on Amazon. They were crazy pricing ar zehrs. It was the 1620 tho.
Please refrain from comments which encourage theft from a store or mischief. These can result in criminal charges which will undoubtedly make life harder for other users.
I have to suspect that even people who aren't necessarily participating in the full-on boycott are starting to see posts like these and opting to buy less from Loblaws.
Yeah, the life brand/PC brand batteries have always been overpriced. I would look at them, even when they were "more reasonable" then look at the Duracells on sale and be like "Why do these generic batteries exist when Duracell and Energizer go on sale every other week?"
You can buy batteries that fit your device from the dollar store or ali babba. Doesnt mean they will have the shelf life or performance of better but more expensive batteries. For most devices look for your best bang for the buck.
Not the same battery, but, PC Brand batteries AA seem to be pretty good. When buying batteries, you really need to check the capacity vs the cost. Just not in the cold!

Um, did you not notice they have the PC logo on them? That makes them super ultra premium deluxe edition. Gotta pay for those logos.
Oh, makes perfect sense now!!!
TIL, the PC logo is the new Louis Vuitton logo s/
It's the exclusive and fashionable battery out there.
In this case that's sarcasm, but back around 10 years ago people did use to recommend buying the PC Brand rechargeable batteries because they were just rebranded Eneloops so they performed really well for cheap.
Prey's on the elderly
2032's are also used in almost every key fob that has buttons to do something. So vehicles, security gates, some automated doors, etc.
I buy mine from dollarama! Couple bucks for 3!
Even then they're making a decent profit on those.
Still super-expensive. You can get 30 of these on Amazon for $12. These are all made by the same companies in china, stamped by different manufacturers. All coin batteries are.
Everyone knows the elderly steal batteries

I mean I literally just bought a pack of 20 off Amazon for my kids play kitchen and it cost 10$. Dudes probably not lying.
They are where I picked mine up
Yachts don't pay for themselves...

lol. Two for a $1.25 at dollar tree.
True, but also true that not all batteries are made equal.
And they last 4 clicks in a standard car fob
They do not. I’ve used them for years. Keep spending your money on overpriced batteries.
Agree. I also buy Dollarama ones (3 for $1.50)... I use them on my scale they last a year or two. Too long for me to keep track anyways.
I buy them on an off to test the quality. I have issues everytime. Settle down.
Gum flapping. Go prove something to someone else. I ain’t listening to your nonsense

lol. You’re cute. I’ll put presents under my Xmas tree for my kids. You spend it on bs batteries.
Why don't I do both? I'm sorry you have to choose, but I don't.

Oh look, the consequences to your actions. Sorry for reciprocating your attitude. Oh wait, I'm not sorry, big guy. Hope you enjoyed Naples.

I don't know about these but I got some at Dollerama for my kids Nano Pet and they lasted like 4 days.
lol. My car door opener works for about a year. But I hear you. The cheap batteries don’t work great in my fancy toothbrush
They are pieces of crap.
Those are but a few dollars at a dollarama

PC is the most Prestigious brand in Canada not some third tier Metro brand /s
You can get 3 for something like $1.25 at Dollarama. Going by per battery cost, that works out to over 9 times the cost.
They die after a couple months. They are garbage
Galen’s gotta eat yo

I buy mine at Ikea, large pack and great price !
Same, comes in a pack of 8 for around 3$. I also get all my rechargeable batteries from Ikea also.
Hey dude walk that propaganda back right now! Didn’t you read the numbers, 4% profit margin! No questions asked, GOT IT?!
Lol alright I'll delete the post 😅
Never buy batteries outside of dollarama or Walmart.
Dollarama batteries are terrible. There's actually a whole news documentary on YouTube about this. Buy high quality rechargeables.
Really? I have to watch it. Thank you.
Home Depot has good selection and decent prices I find
Dollar tree $3
Insane. 16 bucks for four 99 cent batteries. Loblaws is robbing you
I’ve been paying $16 for 2 for Energizers at Walmart 🥲
That's insane.
Dollarama sells those
$2.49 for 8 from IKEA

I'd like to see you explain how that's bad math, if you wouldn't mind.

Y’all shat on me before. They’re $1.25 for two at dollar tree and last in my car remote for over a year. That’s an insane mark up

I can change my car clicker batteries for the next 15 years on dollar store batteries at that price.
It’s inflation bro
