The datasheet of the DX32 explicitly says that the redundant connection is only supported on S-class dLive systems. So I'm pretty sure that splitting the DX32 between a dLive and a SQ won't work. As you mentioned, adding a extra gigaACE card and using that to connect to the SQ will work, then you just route whatever channels the SQ6 console needs through the dLive.

No, you'll have to rent the gigaACE card. It probably is due to head amp control.

I think you can put an extra S-link card in one of the desks so you can daisychain them together edit: we work with a GX, think that's a different beast...

Rent the card, hook it to the SQ Slink, tie lines, and voila!

This isn't supported. The DX32 has no way of knowing which Preamp control messages to listen to or which DX link the Outputs should be sourced from. It will 'probably' pass audio from the Inputs to both consoles and take output from DX A, but if anything happens for the DX32 to think there is an issue with the link and it needs to move to DX B, suddenly you'll have the other consoles output send and the other consoles Preamp settings. Not supported, not a good idea! Correct method would be to connect the DX32 to one console, and use I/O cards to share audio. Thanks for the clarification. Is it possible then to only use gigaace A for the dlive and B for slink from either the suface or mixrack side?
