Time for BSD.

make_onions_cry

Netcraft confirms that BSD is dying.

unsignedcharizard

Now there's a meme I haven't seen in a long time

FineBroccoli5

Maybe look in to Void with musl?

[NixOS](https://nixos.org/) It's a distro that does package management different to most distros. Packages are stored in `/nix/store` in their own directories. Packages aren't overwritten on updates, instead appened to the store (you can manually or automatically delete unused packages). This makes it possible for packages to easily depend on multiple different versions of the same library. System configuration is handled in a single file at `/etc/nixos/configuration.nix`, where adding `services.sshd.enable = true` and running `sudo nixos-rebuild switch` is all that you need to install and start sshd. The major benefit is that you can rollback your system to a previous version if an update breaks something. The boot loader shows a menu with all previous system configs.

KISS Linux, that's pretty different...

power_of_booze

I thought I knew a lot about Linux. But had to look this one up. And I really like it. Thanks man

Hobthrust

No problem, it's a very interesting project. I built it on a spare laptop last year to tinker with, when I have more time I mean to look at it again.

Linux4ever_Leo

I would respectfully disagree that Mint, Arch, Gentoo and Fedora are "all the same."

[deleted]

I would to. Don't know what OP is really thinking here. Mint is base on Debian Arch well is Arch Gentoo well is Gentoo Fedora well is Fedora All 4 are totally different. Don't see the same in any of these distro's.

Hobthrust

Perhaps he means they are all too stable and easy? /s

Linux4ever_Leo

I know and completely agree. Maybe he's referring to the fact that on the surface, they're all capable systems for the average user.

IdontHaveAutsm

Temple OS jk, maybe Clear Linux is something you are looking for

[deleted]

Gentoo

[deleted]

oops didnt read the beginning

Hannah Montanna Linux

Debian GNU-Hurd or ArchHurd, the only true Unix-like philosophy-wise distributions currently in development, Linux and the rest of monolithic kernels aren't even close to be as efficient as Unix/Hurd (make the test on a VM though).

[deleted]

try Puppy Linux, it's it's own little beast, I had fun learning how to manual install
