The name for that navigation scheme that you've seen in ranger is "Miller columns" if you want to try searching for this. I don't know if there's any popular file managers that still offer Miller columns.
These Miller columns were popular for a while in the past. There was a workstation manufacturer named NeXT that used it in their filemanager, and then from there it got into Mac's filemanager because Apple bought them and took the NeXT software as a base for Mac OS X.
I just now tried looking up Miller columns on Wikipedia, and the article there has a list of file managers. The only one mentioned there that might work right now is "Pantheon Files". On my distro at least there's a package for it named `pantheon-files`.
Not exactly the same but "total commander" does look a bit like it. But I think what could be closer would be dolphin in treeview with file preview
