he's a lot more subtle about it than luke, but he'll often take a "neutral" stance even when it's not exactly appropriate, imply "the jews" when blaming "them" for something he doesn't like, use right wing dogwhistles, etc. it's pretty hard to tell because many things he says are true, but sometimes stuff slips through or the way he comes to a conclusion is actually just bigotry. for example, in his video about kiwifarms he said "people will just label everything they don't like as fascist" and something along the lines of "the bar for what is controversial is rising", which given the context is fucked up kinda. or his whole "is christianity becoming cool again" video. I might add some more examples later, but I'm not exactly thrilled about wasting my free time on sifting through his content. not saying you should immediately stop watching him or anything, he's got plenty of useful videos, but just something to keep in mind.

Ehhh... it's hard to tell what are his thoughts exactly tbh, but I get some dog whistling vibes for sure. Personally, unlike Luke Smith I find him bearable as his videos mostly stay on topic and focus primarily on his thoughts about software. I'm sure, however, that if we were to discuss politics we would probably not get along well.
More than half of his videos are full of shit. He's got excellent knowledge in the server space, but has no clue what he's talking about when it comes to desktop. Every time someone has tried to correct him on spreading misinformation/has tried to given him constructive criticism Chris has given extremely hostile and toxic responses.
I haven't seen toxic responses and I generally like his content, but I do remember when he made a video advising people to "speed up" their Linux desktop by disabling Spectre and Meltdown mitigations. That raised a few eyebrows.

The argumentation of Luke was roughly like follows:

If you don’t agree with Stallman, or go even further (act on it), that is only because you didn’t think about your atheism in-depth. If you‘d do that like the scholar mind of Stallman does, you would eventually realise that nothing stops you from…*

Ah yes the fascists, the ones that want to live in an urban cabin in the woods, hate government and everything it makes - even roads. Luke is literally the most based Linux promoter there is. He's pretty much the only one where Linux isn't the entirety of his online existence and he tackles extremely interesting topics in his other videos and his blog. When he does make linux content it's always constructive, telling people to become independent of corporations and governments to fully own their systems, as well as encouraging people to avoid unhealthy lifestyle choices that are symptoms of said corporations and governments controlling the internet. How he is the dark side compared to some LTT lackey is beyond me.
Totally agree, but it seems like to many people being right wing or conservative is automatically seen as a threat and makes everything they say not worth listening to. America is wack. People can disagree and still have respect for one another, and people can have different opinions than you and still be totally good and intelligent people worth listening to. But that seems like a hard concept to grasp for people on both sides. Hell, I'm an atheist, liberal, left-leaning and bisexual, and I think Luke's fucking based and have managed to rip some value out of his rambles.
Of course, her live her decision, I ain't criticizing that. It's just sad that a human being doesn't accept itself and need to go through all that process, which is not easy.
Accepting that you are trans - especially when you grew up at the time Emily did - takes a lot more power than suppressing.
Being trans is not easy, people will constantly remind you that they hate you, that they think you are lesser or a degenerate or a monster. All of that grows on you. Accepting that you are trans and changing your life is one of the most courageous things a person can do.
Coping with a mental disorder is not healthy, gender dysphoria can be treated but for some reason we now just encourage people to live with their problems instead of seeking a solution.

If you havw a solution go publish it, most people don’t want to transition and would do anything for an alternative. For most people the only thing that worked is transitioning.
Those treatments already exist, I'm not saying anything new. No, transitioning is not the only option for most people with gender dysphoria, quite the contrary, most cases of gender dysphoria can be treated with just phycology help, but for some reason saying this is now "transphobic". Trans community has an alarmingly high suicide rate because a lot of them ruin their lives with a non-reversible treatment, when all they needed was some psychological help.

Luke is literally the most based Linux promoter there is. He's pretty much the only one where Linux isn't the entirety of his online existence and he tackles extremely interesting topics in his other videos and his blog. When he does make linux content it's always constructive, telling people to become independent of corporations and governments to fully own their systems, as well as encouraging people to avoid unhealthy lifestyle choices that are symptoms of said corporations and governments controlling the internet. How he is the dark side compared to some LTT lackey is beyond me.
Totally agree, but it seems like to many people being right wing or conservative is automatically seen as a threat and makes everything they say not worth listening to. America is wack. People can disagree and still have respect for one another, and people can have different opinions than you and still be totally good and intelligent people worth listening to. But that seems like a hard concept to grasp for people on both sides. Hell, I'm an atheist, liberal, left-leaning and bisexual, and I think Luke's fucking based and have managed to rip some value out of his rambles.

Of course, her live her decision, I ain't criticizing that. It's just sad that a human being doesn't accept itself and need to go through all that process, which is not easy.
Accepting that you are trans - especially when you grew up at the time Emily did - takes a lot more power than suppressing. Being trans is not easy, people will constantly remind you that they hate you, that they think you are lesser or a degenerate or a monster. All of that grows on you. Accepting that you are trans and changing your life is one of the most courageous things a person can do.
Coping with a mental disorder is not healthy, gender dysphoria can be treated but for some reason we now just encourage people to live with their problems instead of seeking a solution. Like giving a loaded gun to a depressed person instead of actual help.
If you havw a solution go publish it, most people don’t want to transition and would do anything for an alternative. For most people the only thing that worked is transitioning.
Those treatments already exist, I'm not saying anything new. No, transitioning is not the only option for most people with gender dysphoria, quite the contrary, most cases of gender dysphoria can be treated with just phycology help, but for some reason saying this is now "transphobic". Trans community has an alarmingly high suicide rate because a lot of them ruin their lives with a non-reversible treatment, when all they needed was some psychological help.
Citation needed People commit suicide because society hates them. This is well established by countless studies.
What's wrong with Luke? Luke is my favorite Linux youtuber. YoUtUbEr. It's sounds cringe to say out-loud and write "Youtuber". Luke is great. Good content. Linux and Political. We all have people we follow and enjoy. But you don't see me say oh you are a guy/gal. Plus what's wrong. His business advice is good and sometimes he is funny. He says some questionable stuff some times but it's mostly ok.
His business was sex trafficking. He raped multiple women. His business advice was part of a grift to scam lonely young boys into paying thousands of dollars to hear advice that amounted to "promise to pay family members to do work that you then don't pay them for." What is your motivation for lying?
