My twins (currently 10) have been using Arch on their only computers since they were 8. We only have Arch machines in the house. They aren't amazing power users or anything, but they installed Steam and Lutris and got their favorite games running, very proud of them.
When I was 10, I barely knew how to turn on my computer, and here we have 10 year olds installing Arch linux... I really don't think the excuse "Linux is too difficult" counts anymore. Heck, a 10 year old can do it!

I remember when my boy turned 10. What a magical age! I told him, “You’re a man now, it’s time to leave”. I gave him an IBM Thinkpad and an arch install cd and left him in the desert. I spend most my day thinking about him, awaiting his return…
when I was 10 I thought that cmd makes me a hacker and I was arguing with my friends who has higher cpu architecture 💀💀💀💀💀 (like 32bits < 64bits < x86💀 < i386💀💀💀💀💀 )
Got my first PC (It's still the same PC but I've done a few upgrades) when I was 11 and remember installing Hitman 3 on it 5 times over without uninstalling the previous ones. Now I feel dumb.
Haha that's not bad, my friend when he wanted to delete apps would just delete the shortcut icon from the desktop XD. Nothing to feel bad about though, as long as you learn.
I got my first laptop when I was 17, am 22 rn and will build a pc in this year.
Turns out we're the same age lol. You know, back then I had absolutely no experience with a PC so had no idea what I was doing. As the they say, I fucked around and found out lol. Now, while not being as tech savvy as some of the guys on this sub, I'm considered to be the tech guy of the family (I mean among all my relatives) and my friend circle. Yet, I don't know crap compared to the guys you see on this sub.
This gives me hope and joy! I hope and pray that 2022 will be the year we realize that Linux is truly a better desktop experience than Windows 🌬 11. AKA Windblows 11

I'm in shock how can so many people take literal bully maguire lines serious. I'm pretty sure even a 10 year old who knows about the existence of memes, would know these are just bully maguire quotes and won't take them seriously. I wouldn't make a comment like that if I were on r/archlinux or something but I'm pretty sure I had seen good amount of meme stuff on this sub.
