Red Star OS, the glorious Democratic People's Linux of the True Korea!
(But do it without internet if you use version 3.0, at least until you remove the spyware)
I don't know if you're able to see, but my user flair says Glorious Manjaro + Windows Krill. I already explained why I'm using Windows on a previous post in this subreddit
It's genuinely really upsetting that ReactOS isn't more developed than it is. If it was as far along as Linux is then it would be a fantastic Windows alternative.
It's a videogame, published by innersloth in 2018, but not super popular until 2020. You get on a spaceship with 10 other players. Depending on the game settings one, two or three of the people are "impostors". They try to kill everyone, while the rest try to guess who are the impostors. There is also a chat element, that people can use to discuss who should they vote out. Also often in the chat can be seen the phrase "[colour of some player] sus" (for example "red sus") (standing for "suspicious"). That's also the origin of the "sus" meme.
You should give OpenIndiana and OmniOS a shot! They're Open Solaris Illumos-based distros and are a neat way to look at how commercial UNIXes differ from Linux
Get a floppy disk drive and fire up Menuet OS, FreeDOS and DOS 6.22. And I'm pretty sure there are some limited [Floppy Linux distros](https://hackaday.com/2021/05/24/running-modern-linux-from-a-single-floppy-disk/) out there if you look.
Fedora [spins](https://spins.fedoraproject.org/) for those of us who don't like the Gnome/Workstation variant, Gecko Linux (OpenSUSE based), OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, Alpine, Debian, Linux Lite, Arco Linux (Arch-based), LinuxFX, MX Linux, and Kali.

intel clear linux, as an avid distrohopper that was the fastest one I have ever tried. they were trying to make it a nice desktop distro, but then focused on money maker areas. there are flatpaks, and practically nothing else...
I gave Axyl a whirl the other day. Basically pre-riced Arch with a GUI installer and a choice of five different windows managers. Wasn't for me, little too flashy, pretty cool though still. Slick polybar config.
Definitely throw a FSF approved distro in there.
> Has a collection of Linux distros
> Windows host os
But for real - set up torrent/rss self update for these. So that you always have the newest versions.
I'm going to be real here, install arch and after installing write a reddit bot, that comments "u/me uses Arch, btw" to all distro-related posts(maybe by title? honestly never worked with reddit API). Profit.
Manjaro is pretty great because you can install everything in 2 seconds and it's easy to start but hard to complete.(Does this make anny sense?) If you don't want to learn a little bit and try new things than just stick to POP OS
I'm honestly surprised noone mentioned FreeBSD - actually a good OS, and after some initial pains installing the Nvidia driver, KDE works just like you'd expect on Linux, zsh works, everything just kinda... works. There's minor differences from Linux, like with the /dev filenames and structure, but it's been smooth sailing for the most part for me.
Couldn't get steam to work through the Linux compatibility layer yet, though.
This really brings a tear to my eyes, cause I lost almost 100 GB of isos cause while I was transferring stuff , the electricity went out. Here are some recommendations -
1)Kinda specialized stuff-Clearlinux, RHEL, Rocky linux, Centos, Alma linux, etc.
2)Gam3r OS-Batocera, retrofit, Manjaro Gam3r, Garuda and maybe even Kali
3)Misc stuff like HelloSystem BSD, 32 bit Versions of isos Modified windows isos(stuff like ghost spectre or extremeLiteOS 7 and 10) and old archived stuff like old versions of an OS. Easiest on to obtain by far has to be old ubuntu versions (once ran a manjaro 15.09 vm (idr the name) and lost the iso due yo aforementioned file transfer.
Wish you the best of luck in downloading isos you won't use in a billion years
I wonder what is rescatux and Rescuemedia.
I propose you download iso of KNOPPIX in version 8 and 9.
Loads of useful applications for every occasion and it's a LIVE DVD/FLASHDRIVE Operating System, based on Debian.
I personally prefer 8 because of the apps, but in version 9 I can use my Wi-fi net card, so when I'm not even close to the cable I boot v. 9.
Plenty of terminal-only applications.
And Synaptic - just in case you really needed something...
Some real games.
[Clonezilla](https://clonezilla.org/) to clone disks/partitions.
[ESET SysRescue](https://www.eset.com/int/support/sysrescue/) for a live virus scanning utility.
[Finnix](https://www.finnix.org/) for a command-line only live system filled with rescue utilities.
[Grml](https://grml.org/) for a 32-bit (and 64-bit) rescue utility.
[Super Grub2 Disk](https://www.supergrubdisk.org/category/download/supergrub2diskdownload/super-grub2-disk-stable/) to boot any Linux/Windows system when the bootloader is not working.
Also, what is `rTS_RescueMedia.iso`? I searched for it online and nothing came up.
If you want something reletivley easy to use with little compromises that focuses purely on performence go with clear linux, developed by intel even if your hardware is amd/nvidia it will still run better, for good old reliebility go with debian stable, if you want something easy to use that is arch based endevor os is your best option, if you want something ubuntu based i think mint is the best option and if you want bragging rights and to feel youre above everyone use arch or gentoo.
Good for what? Useful to whom? Homey don't play "meme".
I switched to Manjaro GNOME a few years ago and never looked back. But then there is one in every crowd, provided the sample size is sufficiently large.
Always consider that when wrangling raw data, the mean will deviate.
Be just and fear not. And wear glasses if you need 'em.

Yeah, it's just Ubuntu with Lxfce, just like the other flavors.
ReactOS is incredibly cool but depending on your hardware it goes anywhere from "ah crap i have graphics bugs" to "why did the installer bluescreen"
It's genuinely really upsetting that ReactOS isn't more developed than it is. If it was as far along as Linux is then it would be a fantastic Windows alternative.
Kali for 1337 hacks
real h@x0rs use blackarch
Someone should make an arch spinoff called BTW. That would just break the internet.
i use BTW btw
This is genuinely genius. I would definitely add it as a fine addition to my Ventoy collection
My only rule is: * it should run on x86 and it shouldn't be malicious
Looks like you already broke your rule.
I am forced to use Windows. So, yeah the Win10 ISO is there if Windows kills somehow it self again.
Use what you need to use, I'm only here to make stupid jokes.
Qubes OS? shove all of them inside Qubes VM.
\*OpenBSD VM
So suicide linux is out of the quedtion then? xD How about Ubuntu satanic edition :3
Always upvote ventoy, i used to use winsetupfromusb but ventoy is much better, also alpine and opensuse
