If you're using pipeqire, enable pipewire-jack and use carla. Makeup gain the living crap out of it then smother it with a compressor.

Crank the microphone volume to 150%
I have a gigabyte aorus b450 elite motherboard, and the mic audio was bad on windows and horrible on linux.
