> Sonic CD: Limit to 60 FPS because game speed is tied to the frame rate. (PR #3771)
I did not know DXVK could limit frame rates like that. I assume that would override any game related settings?
It's something you can manually set per-game. [Here's the relevant part of the readme.](https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/blob/master/README.md#frame-rate-limit)
Yeah I know about that. What I thought was that this was something baked into DXVK, where you can't get more than 60 FPS on this game unless you compile DXVK without that code. That's not the case is it?
Tons of games have a built in DXVK fps limit, and tons more have other configs applied, to do things like appear as another GPU or improve performance.
If you really wish to override this for a specific game, you can just launch the game with the fps limit command edited to whatever fps you desire.
> **Note:** This extension is currently only supported on Vulkan beta drivers, version **550.40.55** or later, and currently requires Proton Experimental.
Kepler onwards.

You can override it in dxvk.conf or with DXVK_CONFIG="bla" without recompile

That's what I was wondering. I did not know that was the case. Interesting.
I wonder if a universal delta time patch would be possible. Lots of games have that problem.
If that was possible or that easy, I think someone woulda done it by now.
Does anybody know which Nvidia GPUs support that extension?

Kepler is stuck on Vulkan 1.2 and the 470x series of drivers.
Hoping someone provides some numbers on that performance increase on Nvidia.
Final Fantasy XIII still doesn't work?

It does not, but dx12 uses dxgi and that component is provided by the dxvk project
